Charles Lang McColligan

Charles Lang McColligan, age 84, of West Liberty, Kentucky (formerly of Parkersburg, WV), passed away Sunday, Aug. 18, 2024, in the Life Care Center, Morehead, KY, after an extended illness. He was born May 27, 1940, in Parkersburg, WV son of Charles Harold McColligan and Elva Elizbeth Riffle McColligan. He attended the Index Community Church, West Liberty, KY. He served in the U.S. Army, the National Guard and retired from the Walker Plant where he worked in maintenance.

Surviving is his wife, Dena Pennington McColligan of West Liberty, KY. Two sons, Don (Brenda) Montgomery, Dean (Paula) Montgomery and one sister, Susar Campbell all of Parkersburg, WV along with a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Maxine McColligan, brother John McColligan and two stepsons, Ricky Pennington and Skyler Pennington.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Belpre, Ohio, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with military rites being performed after the visitation.
