Danny Ray Roton Jr.

Danny Ray Roton Jr., 59, of Parkersburg, born March 9, 1965, at Edwards Air Force Base in California, exchanged his earthly broken body for his heavenly wings on September 9, 2024, at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, following an extended illness of pancreatitis.

He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Roton, Sr. and his beloved pet companion, Stormy Marie.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Roton of Indiana; his wife, Sharyn (Spellman) Roton; brothers, James Roton of Huntington and Scott (Cindy) Roton of Indiana; children, Kelsey Neeley, Kortney (Brandon) Elam and Eric Roton all of Parkersburg; Pap-Pap’s girls, his granddaughters, Lyla and Leah Neely of Parkersburg; his special trusty companions, his dogs Tank, Thunderbolt and Dixie Mae, as well as many nieces, nephews and his little buddy, Ollie.

Danny lived life on his own terms and shared his experiences freely. He loved spending time with his family, bowling and playing cards. He could usually be found relaxing to old sitcoms after a long day of work at Wincore Windows, where he was a laborer for several years.

Funeral services will be Saturday 1:00 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Eddie Perine officiating.

Burial will follow at Sayre Cemetery in Palestine, WV.

Visitation will be held Friday 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
