Sandra Fling, 80, Walker, passed away Aug. 24, 2024, at Cedar Grove Assisted Living. Arrangements are pending at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.

Sandra Coberly Fling, 80 of Walker, WV. passed away on Aug. 24, 2024. God’s angels carried her to her home in heaven.

Sandy was a born again Christian and a member of the Vaught Chapel. Her faith never wavered and she was a constant witness for her Christ, always willing to give her testimony. Over the years, Sandy was very active within her church, from teaching Sunday school classes to helping people in need in the community.

Sandy was born in Wood County, WV, on Aug. 26, 1943, the daughter of the late Harold Coberly and Beulah Steed Coberly.

Sandy retired from her position as a Bookkeeper to be a stay at home mother, which she considered a blessing. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Sandy is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ernie Fling; her daughters, Vicki (Matt) Stoneking and Tammi (Randy) Beatty; one son Gary (Tracy) Fling; grandchildren, Zachary (Allyssa) Stoneking, Raymond (Heather) Ezell, Griffin (Regan) Stoneking, Allison Ezell, Nathan Stoneking, Austin Stoneking, Miranda Beatty, Rebecca Beatty, Logan Fling and Gavin Fling; great grandchildren, Zayne and Asher Stoneking. Sandy is also survived by her siblings, Pat Harvey, Judy Barnette and Steve Coberly.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Vaught Chapel at Leachtown with Pastor Dan Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Vaught Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg and Friday from noon until service time at the church.
