Melvin R. Mackey

Melvin Ray Mackey, 76, of Vienna, passed away Aug. 24, 2024, at his residence. He was born May 16, 1948, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Raymond and Wavelean Mason Mackey.

Melvin was a retired Laborer from the Local 1085 Laborer’s Union.

Surviving is his daughter Crystal Williams of Vienna, sister Reba Starner (Jon) of Little Hocking, brother Roger Mackey (Pauletta) of Parkersburg, granddaughters: Emily Eddleblute and Brooklyn Mackey, special cousin Richard Allender and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three daughters: infants Tammy and Beverly and Kimberly Mackey, brothers: Randall and David Mackey and sister Nina Dowds.

In following Mr. Mackey’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. A private memorial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. His remains will be buried at the Mason Cemetery, Ritchie County alongside his family.
