Marjorie “Margie” Ann Wilcox

Marjorie “Margie” Ann Wilcox, 90, passed away Aug. 23, 2024, at Wyngate Manor in Parkersburg. She was born May 6, 1934, a daughter to the late Edward and Hattie Light (Bumgardner). Margie worked through her life at GC Murphy’s, Misty Manufacturing, and as a cook for Wood County Schools. She was a founding member of Calvary Memorial Church and enjoyed traveling, camping and trips to the beach with her family.

Surviving Marjorie are her daughters Pam Myers and Becky Cheuvront (Ron); grandchildren Matthew Cheuvront (Elizabeth), Adam Myers(Allys), Ryan Cheuvront (Amanda), Samantha Torres (Justin), and Becca Gray (Rusty); and great grandchildren Savanna, Amylia, Leia, Addyson, Jeremiah, Colin, Jacob, Dean, Noah, Gwynn, Emily, Arielle, Faith, and Rhett.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Ottis Wilcox, and siblings Betty Jo Snider, Ruth Smith, Hazel Bumgardner, and Ray Light.

Services for Margie will be held Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 1 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, and again an hour before the service on Tuesday.
