Karen L. Leisure

Karen L. Leisure, 72, of Elizabeth, W.Va., passed away Aug. 10, 2024, at Elizabeth Care Center. She was born Sept. 28, 1951, in Parkersburg WV, to the late David Lambert and Leona Sellers McCauley. She was the wife of the late Rev. Charles Leisure. Married May 31, 1975, they celebrated 47 years of marriage. A 1969 graduate of Parkersburg High School, Karen worked beside her husband in American Baptist Churches, as well as, years working towards missions in Africa.

She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Conger and her husband Jared, granddaughter Hadassah Atkins, grandsons Collin and Noah Lane, great grandchildren Braxton and Hava and sister Sharon Roten

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Thursday. Interment will be at Hill Grove Cemetery II.
