Janice “Jenny” Roberts

Janice “Jenny” Roberts, 82, of Mineral Wells, WV, passed away Aug. 9, 2024. She was born Oct. 12, 1941, to Paul and Edith McVey Carder.

Left to cherish the memories are her daughters Melissa Roberts and Deidra Roberts, grandson Braden (Christa) Roberts, great grandson Bradley, and a great granddaughter due to arrive in September. She is also survived by her sisters Helen (Harry) Wright and Dinah Winans, brother Lyle (Mary Jane) Carder, sister-in-law Pat Carder, and the rest of her large Carder family.

Jenny was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers William “Bill” (Donna) Carder, and M. Rex Carder; her brother-in-law Jim Winans; and her beloved dogs Patton, Reggie, and Joey.

Services will be Monday 2 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Mineral Wells. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 12-2 p.m. at the church. Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
