Josephine Ann Richards, 82, of Parkersburg, passed away June 9, 2024, at her residence.

She was born in Parkersburg April 20, 1942, a daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria Milanese.

Josephine was a Lab Tech for Camden Clark Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital, and General Consultants Corporation.

She was a lifelong member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and had a passion for animals.

Josephine is survived by daughter, Ann Marie Horton of Parkersburg, WV, son Aurthur Antinio “Tony” Pickens of Wheeling, WV, daughter, Jacqueline Dawn Richards of Vienna, WV, and son, John William Richards Jr of Parkersburg, step-daughter, Sheila Marra of Bridgeport, WV, step-son, John Paul Richards of Parkersburg, WV, and step-daughter, Jacquie Lynn Duley of Parkersburg, WV, several grandchildren including Rocky Love, several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, one great nephew Chris Hill, and former husbands, John W. Richards Sr of Waterford, Ohio, and Arthur Cece Pickens of Wheeling, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Milanese and Lee Milanese, two sisters, Catherine “Kitty” Hill and Virginia Kesterson, and one step-son, Craig Richards.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday June 17, 2024, at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father John Rice officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be Sunday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg.
