Delores Jean Wilson, of Washington, WV, passed away June 20, 2024, at her residence after a long illness.
She was born May 24, 1938, the daughter of the late Kyle and Alice Morgan.
Delores was a 1958 graduate of Hinton High School. She worked at Dils Department Store for many years and was a member of the Fairlawn Baptist Church. She served in many ministries including Hospitality and Bereavement and Senior Visitation along with her dear friend, Deloros Smith.
Left to carry her memory are her husband of 67 years, Charles "Bob" Wilson; her beloved sons, Steve Wilson (Lori) and Mark Wilson. She was Nana to four grandchildren, Rebekah Winslow (Matt), Kathryn Hooper (Duncan) and Craig and Matthew Wilson; two great grandchildren, Mason and Scarlotte Winslow. Her siblings, Fred Morgan (Deanna), Kay Meadows and Judy Wolfe and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Amedisys Hospice especially Amanda, Jennifer, Michelle and Ranea for their loving care.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Pastor Rick Morgan and Pastor Kyle Neal officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12-2 p.m.
At the family's request in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fairlawn Baptist Church Debt Retirement Fund.
