Kenneth (Kenny) Charles Allman

Kenneth Charles Allman, 73, of Vienna, formerly of Washington, WV, passed away March 31, 2024, at Camden Clark Medical Center, WVU.

He was born on October 22, 195,0 in Parkersburg, WV, the son of H. Virginia Moore Allman and the late Charles Richard Allman.

Kenny was a graduate of Parkersburg High School with the Class of 1968. He served in the US Army with the 25th and 52nd Infantry Divisions in Vietnam. Kenny retired in 2010 from GE Plastics after 38 years of service and had served on the fire brigade. His love of all things mechanical began at an early age when he would disassemble his alarm clock to see how it worked.

Kenny was active with the Boy Scouts for several years and was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed camping, cruising, and visiting national parks with his family. Working around the house and in the yard brought him great pleasure. Kenny was a perfectionist and took great pride in any project he would pursue.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 49 years Terri, children Abraham "Abe" Allman, Sarah Danks (Craig), granddaughter, (his name's sake), Kenley, sister Linda Peterson (Pete), several nieces and nephew and his faithful companion, Colby, his dog.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law Eugene W. and Betty McPherson.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Casey Stinespring officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 on Thursday and from 11 – 1 on Friday prior to the service.

The family would like to thank Dr. Abiy Kelil for special care given over the past four years and to the staff and physicians at Camden Clark Medical Center ICU along with the ancillary departments that provided excellent care.
