In loving memory of Josiah Kyre Lipscomb, born on Nov. 11, 2004, in Clarksburg, WV, and departed from this world on Dec. 29, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father Matthew Harris, on Dec. 1, 2015.
Josiah is survived by his devoted mother Lillian (Cori) Nixon, and stepfather, Jason Nixon. He leaves behind a cherished legacy through his siblings. Brothers: Tyas Lipscomb, Jayse Nixon, Preston Harris, Austin Harris, Logan Harris, and Joshua Nixon. Sister, Madison Nixon, and partner Matthew Peppard. Josiah’s niece Luna Peppard and nephews, Atticus and Varo Peppard, mourn his loss also. Josiah’s memory will be fondly held by his grandparents, Gregg and Sherry Tracewell, as well as Dan and Kerri Lipscomb. In mourning, Josiah’s uncles, Jamie Lipscomb, Lee Lipscomb and wife Jennifer, and Joshua Lipscomb and wife Myra, remember him with love. Numerous cousins also share in the grief of losing such an amazing young man and friend.
Josiah’s passion for football and wrestling, as well as his love for fishing, defined his vibrant spirit.
His dedication to teammates mirrored his commitment to his family. A culinary enthusiast, Josiah delighted family and friends with his cooking. His joy extended to spending quality time with his little brother Jayse, where wrestling, playing, and sharing love created cherished memories. Josiah’s impact on both the sporting arena and the hearts of those close to him will be remembered with love and gratitude. May he rest in peace.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held at Real Life Ministry Church, 3190 Northwest Turnpike, Pennsboro, WV 26415 (located in Doddridge County  Greenwood) on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. to be followed by service at 2 p.m. To offer condolences visit www.zaborfh.com.
