Dixie Lee Price, 78, of Belpre, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
Dixie was born on Dec. 3, 1945, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Anna Avis Brooks. She is survived by her sister, Ginger Hutchison; her brother, Rusty (Rose) Brooks; and three children, her daughter, Tanya Walter (Olaf); her son, Jerry Price (Cassandra); and her daughter, Carolyn Price Smith; grandchildren, Kenny Price, Kristin Deem, Jessica Parks, Christopher Price, Joshua Rester, and Kaitlan Helton; and 3 great grandchildren, Presley Helton, Ava Price, and Dylan Deem. She is preceded in death by her brother, Sonny Brooks.
Dixie enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved cats -- and watching her favorite TV shows and movies on Hallmark and westerns on MeTV.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home in Morgantown, WV. Per Dixie's and her family's wishes, there will be no public services at this time. Memorials may be made to Alley Cat Allies, a cause close to Dixie's heart, at alleycat.org.
