Sharon Lee (Davis) Currey, 80, of Vienna, WV, passed at WVU Camden Clark Campus peacefully on Nov. 27, 2023.
Sharon is the daughter of the late Worthy O. Davis, Jr. and the granddaughter of the late Etta Mae Davis. She was born Dec. 28, 1942, in Parkersburg on her dad's 21st birthday while he was serving in WWII.
She started working cleaning homes and ironing for others at a very young age. She sold Grit papers and when old enough was employed by several restaurants.
After graduation from PHS in 1960, she worked for Dr. E.J. Fisher then was employed by Public Debt, where she retired after 26 years of service.
Sharon leaves behind her 2 wonderful sons, Shawn C. and Shayne A. (Renee), grandchildren Corey Currey and Keisha Cole, and a special longtime friend Deb Jenkins. She was preceded in death by an infant son.
