Mary Elizabeth Callison, 88, passed away peacefully with her loved ones at her side on Nov. 20, 2023, in Pittsburgh, PA.
She was born on Nov. 9, 1935, in Parkersburg to Dr. Holmes and Dorothy Blair.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Harper Thomas Callison. She is survived by daughters, Melissa (Jamie) Zucker of Canton, Ohio, Amy (Scott) Teter of Washington, WV, Jane (Dave) Blake of Glastonbury, CT, and Rachel (Roy) Callison Houston of Crafton PA. Also surviving are sisters and brother Louisa Blair, Alice (Blaine) Royce, and John Blair. Her brother and sister-in-law Ralph and JoEllen Blair, preceded her in death.
Mary was the proud Grandmother of Sarah (Bronwyn) Zucker, Philip Zucker, Rebecca Zucker, Allison (Chris) Wolf, Douglas Teter, Rachel (Rocky) Coble, Amanda Blake, David (Alicia) Blake, and Tori (Cameron) Karnick and Great-grandmother of Claire, Katherine, and Conner Wolf.
Mary was a 1953 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a 1957 graduate of West Virginia University with a BS in Medical Laboratory Technology. She lived with her family in several WV cities but settled long term in Pittsburgh after Harper passed away in 1994. Mary worked in several medical laboratories across WV and retired as a Medical Laboratory Manager from LabCorp in 2003.
A memorial service will be held on Dec. 10, 2023, 1:30 p.m., at Calvary United Methodist Church, Beech Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA.
