Gilbert "Gib" Wayne Springer, 68 of Parkersburg, WV, passed away Oct. 28, 2023, at WVU Medicine Camden Clark.
He was born April 18, 1955, in Rockport, WV, a son of Evelyn Sams Springer and the late Joseph Springer.
Gib worked in construction. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching wildlife. He was a gifted woodworker.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Dottie Springer; son, Andrew Springer of Wirt County, WV; daughter, Nancy Snyder of Mineral Wells, WV; sisters, Stacy Kersey, Julie Cunningham; 3 grandsons and 1 great-grandson.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister Pam, and his brother, Joe Springer.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Matt Hornbeck officiating. Entombment to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, at the funeral home. An online guestbook for condolences is available at www.sunsetparkersburg.com.
