Christopher Bryan Moles, age 42, passed away suddenly from a medical condition at home in Nutter Fort, WV
He was born to Vickie and Bruce Moles on Aug. 31, 1980, in Grantsville, WV.
He grew up playing football and baseball for Tri C Bullets. He wrestled for Lubeck Pee Wee. He attended Normantown Elementary, Spencer Primary , Lubeck Elementary, Blennerhassett Jr High, Parkersburg South High School, and West Liberty State College. He played for the Patriots in Football, Wrestling , and Track. He was 4th in the state in the 189 weight class in 2000, part of the state champs team. He participated in Hill Topper football at West Liberty. He graduated from Parkersburg South with the Class of 2000.
He was a member of the Lubeck Lucky Clovers 4H Club, Wood County 4H Teen Leaders, and he was a WV 4H All Star. He was a member of South Parkersburg Baptist Church.
He served America with the 10th Mountain Brigade in the United States Army. He was stationed at Fort Benning , GA and Fort Polk , Louisana. He served in Afghanstan and was awarded the Purple Heart.
He is survived by parents Vickie and Derf Taylor , Vincent, Ohio and Bruce and Jackie Moles, Pink Hill, NC. Siblings: Erik Moles(Kari) , Parkersburg, WV ; Amanda Moles, Pt Pleasant , WV ; Tim Moles (Alexandra) Washington , WV ; Matthew Moles, Pink Hill, NC and Lady Mercedes Thompson, New York City. Grandmother Mary Lou Buck, Parkersburg,WV Children : Davian Miller, Caydan Moles, Mayci Moles , and Myleigh Moles, Parkersburg, WV. Also survived by numerous cousins , Aunts, Uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He is predeceased by grandparents Robert Buck , Parkersburg , WV and Junior and Elizabeth Moles , Nicut, WV. His faithful companion Shadow (Border Collie/Aussie Shepherd) followed him to heaven shortly.
A Celebration of Life will be Sept 4 at 11 a.m. at Lubeck Civic Center. Pastor Mark Houser will officiate. Family will receive friends an hour before the service. He will be buried at the Doddridge County Masonic Cemetery near Grandpa Bob Buck, burial will be later at the discretion of the family. Burial arrangements are handled by Spurgeon Funeral Home, West Union, WV. Family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions in Christopher's honor be made to Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc, with "Clarksburg Program Use" noted.
