Sallie L. Jones, 80, of St. Marys, WV, passed away, April 3, 2022, at the Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV. She was born, February 9, 1942, in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Robert and Evagine Conaway Flinn. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church, she had worked for many years for the former Kemper Insurance Company and retired from the U. S. Public Debt. She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School, and her hobbies included hunting, 4 wheeling, and sewing.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Denzil Jones, a daughter, Suzan (David) Harper of Parkersburg, WV, a niece that she raised, Sallie (Denny) Danielson of St. Marys, WV, three grandchildren, Amanda Jane (Steve) Yocum of Parkersburg, WV, David Logan (Dusti) Fauss of Marietta, OH, and Lacey (Kyle) Mahoney of Parkersburg, WV, five great grandchildren, a sister, Doris Brown of Parkersburg, WV, step children, Debbie (Charles) Keefer, Roxanna (Don) Torton, Mark (Karen) Jones, Robyn Jones, and Denzil (Diane) Jones, Jr., two step grandsons, and two step granddaughters, four step great granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, James Edward Bailey, daughter, Sallie Jane Fauss, a sister, Patricia Shockey, and two brothers, Robert Flinn and Earl Flinn.
Services will be held Thursday, April 8, 2022, at 3 P. M. at the Ingram Funeral Home in St. Marys, WV, with Pastor Jimmy Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Elder Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Ridge, Pleasants County, WV. Friends may call from 1 to 3 P. M. Thursday at the funeral home. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com.
