Paul G. Nohe

Psalm 46-10 -- Be still and know that I am God.

Paul G. Nohe departed this life on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at 1:55 pm. He was born in Jackson County on Calvin Fork. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum as a Profile Operator after 32 years of service. While working for Kaiser Aluminum he received acclamations from NASA for his involvement in the space shuttle project in 1987. He was a U.S. Merchant Seaman and U.S. Army Veteran from 1944 thru 1952 serving in Germany in the Infinity, United States Constabulary on the Russian border, Berlin Air Lift and the Stuttgart Military Post. He was a member of DAV, Murphytown, WV.

Paul attended the Belleville Methodist and the Milhoan Baptist Church. He was a current member of the New Life Baptist Church.

Paul was proceeded in death by his father Dock A. Nohe and mother Ora Susan (Shepard) Nohe, sisters Margie T. Rawson, Lean Marie Pifer, brothers Emerson Joe Nohe, Ronald G. Nohe, Jack A. Nohe and Ovie Edwin Nohe. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Delores (Watkins) Nohe, his daughters, Sandra (Greg) Sall and Barbara Nohe, son Wendell (Patricia Nohe, his grandchildren Sarah (Nicholas) Hayek, Craig (Brittany) Sall, Cara Nohe and great children Owen Hayek and Keagan Sall, whom he loved with his all of his heart. Paul was, also blessed with his wonderful sister-in-law Carolyn Snider.

Our family would like to give special thanks to Amedisys Hospice for the care and support they have given us during this time.

Services will be at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with visitation on Friday, October 30 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. Funeral service will be at 11:00AM Saturday, October 31 with Pastor Scott Stewart officiating, singing by Gary Randolph, along with Military Rites. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
