Edgar Lee “Ed” Munday

Ed Munday passed away Monday, May 25 in Florida where he lived for several years. He was born Aug. 2, 1942 in Ripley, WV, to the late Dana O. and Freda Mae Whited Munday.

He grew up in Parkersburg and graduated from PHS in 1960. He was in the U.S. Army and served in Germany in communications. He worked as a radio – TV news man until his retirement. He worked at WTAP after Glen Wilson retired in the early 1970s.

Ed loved baseball and coached his son's little league teams. He enjoyed his daughter's high school swim team and show choir events. He was a fun-loving man and will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Sue and his three children, daughter, Erin Munday, Tavares, Fla.; sons, Adam Munday (Sue), Illinois and Patrick Munday, Parkersburg. Three step-daughters, Cassie Glynn, Abby Graham and Marissa Bush, all of Illinois; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He will be cremated and memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
