Richard Eugene McGee, 77, of Parkersburg, WV passed away Monday, February 24, 2020 at The Willows surrounded by his family.

Richard was born January 2, 1943, in Marietta, OH to the late Roy Edward and Clarice {Wilson} McGee.

He was a roofer and painter and later he repaired TV’s. In the 70’s he played drums for Sipe and the Country Playboys and was a member of the Southside Southern Baptist Church.

Richard will be deeply missed by his wife, Martha J. Anderson McGee, two sons, Gerald “Jerry” E. McGee (Debbie), Kevin A. McGee (Shauna), two daughters, Debra J. DePriest (Kevin) and Joyce A. Brown, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three brothers, James E. McGee, Jerry David McGee (Cathy) and John McGee.

Richard was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald D. McGee, Patrick D. McGee and one great-granddaughter, Brooklyn McGee.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David Summerville officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
