Ralph E. Blair, 78, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020 at his residence.

He was born November 23, 1941 in Wood County, WV, a son of the late Roy and Iva Baker Blair. Ralph was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and retired from the Wood County Board of Education where he was a warehouse coordinator. He enjoyed farming, hunting, and working on cars with his son Sonny. Ralph was a member of the Southside Southern Baptist Church.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carrie Blair; his children, Becky England of Gatlinburg, TN, Iva Mayo (Richard) of Walker, WV, Ralph “Sonny” Blair Jr. (Darlene) of Washington, WV, and Ann Knotts (Brian) of Parkersburg; one brother, Roy Blair Jr. of Cutler, OH; one sister, Sandra Hanlon (Lester) of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Kathie Blair of Boaz, WV; ten grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Kim England and two brothers, Delbert and Marvin Blair.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2020 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Paul Drake officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral Home.
