Jack Hartshorn, 79, of Williamstown, passed away January 13, 2020 at Camden Clark Medical Center.
He was born May 16, 1940, in Belpre, OH, the son of the late George Washington and Bertha (Hendershot) Hartshorn.
Jack graduated from Newport High School and joined the Air Force. He retired from American Cyanamid as a chemical operator. He was active in the Williamstown Baptist Church, a member of the New Matamoras Masonic Lodge, active in the Eastern Star of Williamstown and was an avid Buckeye Football fan. Jack loved history and cooking.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Spencer Hartshorn; three sons, Jon Hartshorn (Michelle) of Kenton, OH, Brian Hartshorn (Brenda) of Orange Park, FL, and Steve Hartshorn (Tara) of Granville, OH; one sister, Jean Keene (Gil) of Lancaster, PA; one brother, Ed Hartshorn (Pam) of Belle Vernon, PA; grandchildren, Kallie, Abby, Zachary, KayBeth, Hannah, and Paige Hartshorn; one great-grandchild, Troy Hartshorn.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Hannah Hartshorn, grandparents, who raised him, Clarence and Elizabeth Hartshorn; two sisters, Phyllis Huston and Judy Booth.
Funeral services for Jack will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna with Pastor Scott McClure officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Newport Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
