Randy Ross Elder, 67, of Vincent, Ohio, died September 30, 2019, at the Marietta Memorial Hospital, Belpre Campus.
He was born on April 11, 1952, in Parkersburg, the son of the late Stessel R. and Ruth Jones Elder.
Randy retired from Eramet in 2013 after twenty-five years with the company. He was a well known cook and enjoyed baking cakes for others, some called him a "top shelf cook".
Randy is survived by his wife Lisa Elder, children Jennifer Dille (Curtis, Jr.), Nathaniel Elder, Erin Porter (Josh), two grandchildren Curtis Dille, Dylan Elder, two great grandchildren Oliver Dille, Lily Lowe, two sisters Wilma West (Bill), Linda Metz (Bob), mother-in-law Marie Farley, brother-in-law Clarence Farley, Jr. (Sherry), sister-in-law Becky Adams (Darin) and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Billie, Earnest and Willard Elder, three sisters Wanda Tucker, Patty Toothman, Barbara Waller and father-in-law Clarence Farley Sr.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre.
Visitation will be 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 on Friday and for one hour prior to the service.
Randy was an organ donor, hoping to help save the lives of others.
