Roger L Wingrove , 74, of Walker passed away July 20, 2018 at Camden Clark Medical Center.
Roger was born on May 27, 1944 on the family farm in Walker and was the son of the late Castle and Melva Dove Payne Wingrove.
He was a lifelong resident of Wood County, graduating from Parkersburg High School and then serving his country in the US Army during Vietnam. Roger retired from Arrow Industries after many years with the company. He was known as a quiet and reserved man and very devoted to his wife and family.
Surviving Roger is his wife of fifty years Karen Jane Jones Wingrove, three children Jesse Wingrove (Jennifer) of San Diego, California, Malenda Jane Sees, Jonathan Lee Wingrove, brother Leon Wingrove (Joretta), Lester Wingrove (Debi), all of Walker, sister Loretta McCoy (Eldin) of Ravenswood, Lenora Bly of Parkersburg and several nieces and nephew.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by son in law John Seese.
A graveside service will be 1:00 pm Monday at the Saunders Cemetery in Calhoun County with Pastor Mike Lamb officiating.
Visitation will be held 2 – 5 on Sunday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, Parkersburg, WV.
