Delia Jean Jones "Dee", 68, of Mineral Wells, WV passed into the Lords care at home with her loving children beside her on April 28, 2018.
Dee was born January 3, 1950 as Delia Bianka Lehman in Berlin, Germany. She was blessed to later become the daughter of the late Eugene Lawrence Stiles and the late Arlice June Stiles of Mineral Wells, WV in 1965, who gave her much love, warmth and security.
By birth, Dee was the oldest of four children. She is survived by one sister, Shirley Jean (May) Ellis of Chelsea, MI and one brother James Clifford Uhl of Miles City, MT. She is preceded in death by one brother, Richard Edward May of PA.
Life brought Dee three beautiful children, the late Virginia Dale Wyatt of Vinton, VA, Tracey Lynn Wetzel (David) of Reedsville, OH and James Allen McCase of Mineral Wells, WV, two wonderful grandchildren, Chaz Hamilton Poling of Belpre, OH and Casey James Sheppard of Vinton, VA, one amazing great-granddaughter, Aurora Grace Poling of Parkersburg, WV. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, the late James LeRoy Jones "Sonny". She was blessed to have a step daughter in her life, Brenda Smarr (Bert) of Mineral Wells, WV and a beautiful step great granddaughter, Candra Collins of Mineral Wells, WV.
Dee's life brought so much love and joy to many family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, gardening, attending church and praising the Lord on a daily basis. Her journey in life was too short, but the memories will last a lifetime. Her story was already written, the chapters are what made her life here so precious, and her ending will forever be a blessing to all.
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life. My faith is strong, my heart is steadfast, and my spirit is secure. His promises are true, his word is everlasting, oh give him praise.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at the Mineral Wells Baptist Church.
