Perry E. Daugherty

Perry E. Daugherty, 90, of Elizabeth, WV, passed away March 30, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Wirt County, the son of the late Warner and Carrie (Woodyard) Daugherty.

He served in the United States Air Force, retired from AB Chance of Parkersburg WV after 45 years of service and was a member of the VFW of Wirt County and the American Legion Post 55 of Elizabeth. He enjoyed hunting and gardening.

He is survived by his wife 29 years Mary Daughtery; Children: Robert (Debbie) Daugherty of Rockport, Kathy (Mark) Shea of Elizabeth, Angela Deem of Belpre OH, Doris (Lee) Pursley of Leroy, Judy (Mike) Clark of Waterford OH, Pam (Jeff) Sheppard of Palestine, James Bryant of Parkersburg, Bill (Carla) Bryant of Leroy, and Roberta (Mitch) Taylor of Elizabeth; 24 grandchildren, 42 Great Grandchildren, 10 Great Great Grandchildren and Several Nieces and Nephews.

In addition to both his parents he was preceded in death by son Perry Neil Daugherty, 2 daughters Elaine Daugherty and Darlene Ruth McDaniel; 3 brothers and 4 sisters; 2 great grandchildren Lucas Taylor and Landon Taylor.

Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday April 3, 2018 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV with Lem Powell a servant of God officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday April 2, 2018 and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time service. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery of Elizabeth WV.
