Barbara Ann Kelly

Barbara Ann Kelly, 76, of St. Marys, WV, passed away, September 13, 2017, at her residence. She was born, October 13, 1940, in Ocala, FL, a daughter of the late Granger Allen Stokes and Juanita Raulerson Stokes Taylor. In later years, her mother married Charles Henry (Shag) Taylor, Jr., who was also a loving parent to Barbara. Barbara was a graduate of Hardee County High School in Wauchula, FL, and attended college in Orlando, FL. She was involved in public relations for Epley & Associates in Charlotte, NC, in her earlier years. She had been a writer for the former Fahlgren and Martin Advertising. She owned and operated the Greenhouse in St. Marys, WV for several years. Her hobbies included reading, sewing, crocheting, knitting, painting, crafts, gardening, and cooking. She worshiped the Lord mightily.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Kelly, daughter, Denise (Carl) Malmberg of Clover, SC, step-son, Tom (Sharan) Taylor of Trenton, NJ, step-daughter, Michaela (Jeff) Carroll of Kannapolis, NC, grandchildren, Eric (Heather) Malmberg of Stanley, NC, Austin Malmberg of Denver, NC, Abigail (Josh) Alley of Carlisle, SC, Morgan Malmberg of Denver, NC, Sarah Bacon of Charlotte, NC, Richard D B Carroll, Drake A L Carroll, Solomon L. Carroll, and Jude M V Carroll all of Kannapolis, NC, a great granddaughter, Adrianna Grace Blackmon of Carlisle, SC, sisters, Geneva Stokes Dansby, Velma R. Stokes Nelson Bryan, and Kathryn L. Stokes Hudson all living in Florida, and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, and also her beloved pet companion, “Maddy”.

Services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 1 P. M. at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV, with Pastor Gary Saler officiating. Friends may call from 11 A. M. to 1 P. M. Saturday at the funeral home. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com.
