Howard Leslie Riggs

Howard Leslie Riggs, 73, of Waverly, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017, at Worthington Manor, in Parkersburg.

Howard was born June 1, 1943, in Jackson County, W.Va., to Albert Leslie and Elva Elizabeth (Hinzman) Riggs.

Howard will be deeply missed by his wife, Bertha, of 53 years; stepson, Harold Philips; children, John Riggs of Mineral Wells, Bea Forshey (Jim) of Waverly, Howard Riggs (Debbie) of Parkersburg, David Riggs (Jenny) of Bulls Gap, Tenn., Dee Lott (David) of Walker and Ted Riggs (Stormy) of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Jodie, Adam, Amber, Greg, Brittany, Halie, Ashley, Katie, Courtney, David, Abby, Tyler; step-grandchildren, Zack and Hanna; great-grandchildren, Emily and Ryan Cain, Ella Reed, Noah, Conner and Briley Forshey, Adriene Harper, Caydrian Miller, Alexis Riggs, Ray Campbell, Brayden and Josh Riggs and Nicholas Alderman.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Esther Morrison.

A memorial service honoring Howard Riggs will be held at North Parkersburg Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Everyone is invited to attend Jan. 21, 2017 at 11 a.m.
