Johnny ‘5’ Bumgarner

Johnny “5” Bumgarner, 64, of Parkersburg, W.Va., died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at Camden Clark Medical Center.

He was born in Elizabeth, W.Va., a son of the late Eanes and Nellie Leona (Bailey) Bumgarner.

Johnny worked at the Eagles Club and was also a member of the Moose. He enjoyed watching his westerns, especially John Wayne’s.

He is survived by his fiancee, Sandy Brown; two sons, Johnny Bumgarner, Jr. and Josh Bumgarner; two daughters, Veronica Arnold (Casey) and Victoria Boyer (Brian); five grandchildren; two sisters, Pat Place (Roger) and Deborah Dowler; a brother, Bruce Bumgarner (Becky); several nieces and nephews; his two dogs Angel and Lisa; and his parrot Brooke.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jimmy Dowler, and several aunts and uncles.

Services will be Saturday 1 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will be at Buffalo Cemetery in Wirt County. Visitation will be Friday 6-8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the service.
