Marietta College names Elisabeth Simpson to lead new clinical mental health counseling graduate program

Marietta College has selected Elisabeth B. Simpson to lead its new online graduate program in clinical mental health counseling, according to a college release. The program is accepting applications, with its first class scheduled to begin in August 2026. Simpson earned a doctorate in counselor education and supervision from Duquesne University and a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from West Virginia University, where she also held teaching and program leadership roles, according to the release.
