MARIETTA – On Aug. 26, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports.

* On Aug. 25, a deputy responded to 103 Deerwalk Circle about Michael Siders, 3150 Indian Run Road, Marietta, being bitten by a dog. The area was patrolled for the animal; however, the dog could not be found. Neighbors were asked about the dog and no one had seen the dog. This case will be forwarded to the Washington County Dog Warden.

* On Aug. 25, deputies were dispatched to 105 Devola Drive, Marietta, where Tonya Hayes said Robert Thomas Taylor II, her live-in boyfriend, was assaulting her. Hayes said Taylor struck her in the face with his fist a couple of times. Hayes also said Taylor knocked her down and destroyed property in the home. Deputies attempted to speak with Taylor; however, he refused to cooperate with them. Deputies located a pipe on the hood of Taylor’s vehicle, which is commonly used to smoke an illegal substance. Hayes advised the pipe belonged to Taylor. Taylor was placed under arrest for domestic violence and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Washington County Jail.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail on Thursday:

* Major Trey Forrest, 23, of 113 Aqua Circle, Parkersburg, on a warrant for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Forrest was arrested at the Marietta City Probation Department by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 25 at 9:42 a.m.

* Timothy Duane Lucente, 37, on a warrant from Cuyahoga County for drug possession, a felony. Lucente was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Bonnette of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 25 at 11:30 a.m.

* Nicholas D. Offenberger, 36, of 331 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for theft, a felony. Offenberger was arrested at his residence by Deputy C. Hall of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 25 at 2:50 p.m.

* Shaquille C. Moultry, 23, of 2255 Alberts Road, Columbus, on warrants for drug possession, trafficking in drugs and tampering with evidence, all felonies. Moultry was picked up by Deputy Malone of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 25 at 3:15 p.m.

* Robert Thomas Taylor II, 43, of 105 Devola Drive, Marietta, for domestic violence and drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Taylor was arrested in Marietta by Sgt. McLeish of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 25 at 11:20 p.m.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug 24:

* Natasha Nichole McMasters, 28, of 329 Crescent St., Bellaire, Ohio, on a warrant for theft, a misdemeanor. McMasters was picked up at the Belmont County Jail by Sgt. Smith of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 24 at 11 a.m.

* Jessica Rose Deeter, 31, homeless, for theft, a misdemeanor. Deeter was arrested by Sgt. Johnson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 24 at 3:28 p.m.

* Kurtis Matthew Walters, 23, for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Walters was arrested at the Marietta City Probation Department by Probation Officer Waite and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 24 at 5:39 p.m.

MARIETTA – On Aug. 24, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports.

* On Aug. 23, Sgt. Mankins was dispatched to 270 Greenlawn Lane, Lowell, for a tenant/landlord dispute. William J. Simpson and Stefanie Simpson stated they came back to the house to get the rest of their belongings and clean the house so they could turn it back over to the landlord, Marilyn R. McNabb of 278 Greenlawn Lane, Lowell, on Aug. 24. The Simpsons found items gone from the residence with McNabb stating that she hauled it to the landfill. Those items include a 60-inch television, baby crib and mattress, drinking glasses, tent, Christmas decorations, bag of clothing and photos and wedding glasses. The Simpsons advised they were never served an eviction notice. In speaking with McNabb, she stated she had not seen anyone there in a week so she thought they had moved out and left her with the trash. McNabb stated she had the locks changed today as the Simpsons had a key to the old ones. A summons will be requested for McNabb through Marietta Municipal Court.

* On Aug. 23, Deputy McKee was dispatched to Bohl Drive, Marietta, to speak with Astin Oliver, 100A Linwood Ave., Marietta, regarding a theft of medication. Oliver stated she drove to this location in reference to the theft. Advising Oliver of the procedures for filing a missing medication report she then refused to continue the report. A check of Oliver found that her driving privileges were suspended. The registration on the vehicle was also expired. A citation was issued to Oliver for driving under suspension and expired plates.

* On Aug. 24, Jukebox Pizza, Main Street, Waterford, received a notice the electric would be disconnected if payment was not made. Numerous other calls were made to Jukebox and it was determined that this was a scam.

The following individuals were recently sentenced in Washington County Common Pleas Court:

* Gary Dennis Berentz, 47, homeless, trafficking in drugs, fourth degree felony; 6 months county jail.

* Bradley Douglas Worstell, 20, of 29725 Ohio 7, Marietta, corrupting another with drugs, second degree felony.

* Jeremy Michael Phipps, 37, of 207 Lancaster St., Marietta, having weapons under disability, third degree felony.

* Chad Blaine Bledsoe, 31, of 611 Elm St., Belpre, theft and possession of criminal tools, both fifth degree felony.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Tuesday and Wednesday:

* Travis Murle Moore, 30, of 111 N. Hart St., Marietta, for criminal damaging/endangering, a misdemeanor. Moore was arrested at the Marietta City Police Department by Patrolman Allander and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 23, at 9 a.m.

* Jessica Rose Deeter, 31, homeless, on a warrant for criminal damaging/endangering, a misdemeanor. Deeter was arrested at the sheriff’s office by Sgt. Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 23, at 11:27 a.m.

* Deane Allen Beck Jr., 36, for parole violation, a felony. Beck was arrested at the Adult Parole Authority Office by Probation Officer Wheeler and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 23, at 5:24 p.m.

* Natalie Jordan Miller, 27, of 801 Baird St., Logan, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Miller was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Patrolman Walters of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 23, at 6:02 p.m.

* Franklin Dee Tucker III, 31, of 405 53rd St., Vienna, for burglary, a felony. Tucker was arrested at the Washington County Fairgrounds by Patrolman Richards of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 24, at 3:38 a.m.

* Lashara Antoinette Boone, 26, of 1130 Diagonal Road, Akron, on a warrant for drug possession, a misdemeanor. Boone was arrested by Trooper Forshey of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 24, at 5 a.m.

MARIETTA – On Aug. 19, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports.

* On Aug. 19, Deputy McConnell responded to 253 Orchard Drive, Little Hocking, in reference to an intoxicated male subject being at the residence and refusing to leave. Upon arrival Deputy McConnell found Christopher Todd Trudo, 37, of 510 Carson Lane, Little Hocking, lying in the yard. Trudo was asked if he had been drinking and he said he had been. Trudo was also asked why he was at this residence and he said he wanted to talk to someone. Trudo stated he had a 12 pack and some Everclear to drink. The homeowner advised he was in the residence when he heard someone knock on the window, and then found the male lying on a bench on his porch. The homeowner told Trudo to leave and he refused. When the homeowner went into the home Trudo also went in uninvited. The homeowner knew Trudo from working for him. At that time Deputy McConnell placed Trudo under arrest for disorderly conduct by intoxication and trespassing, and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Thursday and Friday:

* James Fredrick O’Brien II, 38, of 904 Fourth St., Marietta, on a warrant for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. O’Brien was arrested at his residence by Deputy Hall of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 18 at 12:53 p.m.

* Amanda Christine O’Brien, 30, of 16715 Ohio 676, Waterford, for probation violation, a felony. O’Brien was arrested at the Washington County Common Pleas Court by Deputy Moyers of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 18 at 4:24 p.m.

* Keith Tyler Whealdon, 23, of 111 Dean St., Marietta, for probation violation, a felony. Whealdon was arrested at the Washington County Common Pleas Court by Deputy Malone of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 18 at 4:28 p.m.

* John Jason Blevins, 48, of 820 Market St., Parkersburg, for fugitive from justice, a felony. Blevins was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 18 at 5:43 p.m.

* Richard Wesley Hawkins, 46, of 205 Gibbons St., Marietta, for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Hawkins was arrested in Marietta by Probation Officer Brockmeier of the Marietta City Probation Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 18 at 11:43 p.m.

* Christopher Todd Trudo, 37, of 510 Carson Lane, Little Hocking, for intoxicated disorderly conduct and criminal trespass, both misdemeanors. Trudo was arrested in Little Hocking by Deputy McConnell of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 19 at 1:11 a.m.

* James F. O’Brien II, 38, of 904 Fourth St., Marietta, failure to appear on child support hearing.

* Heddi M. Conger, of 1615 Staughton Ave., Parkersburg, failure to appear for hearing on possession of heroin.

The following subject was recently sentenced in Washington County Common Pleas Court:

* Samuel Jason Kohan, 44, of 929 Meadow Ave., Charleroi, Pa., for breaking and entering.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail on Tuesday:

* Sandra Marie Fought, 74, of 740 Wallace Road, Little Hocking, on a warrant for restraint and confinement of dogs, a misdemeanor. Fought was arrested by Sgt. McGilton of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 16 at 4 p.m.

* Weston Charles Hickman, 23, of 721 Old River Road, Little Hocking, for possession of drugs, a felony. Hickman was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheaves of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 16 at 5:37 p.m.

* Jeremy Wade Carpenter, 31, of 615 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, on a warrant for nonsupport of dependents, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Moyers of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 16 at 6:05 p.m.

* Gary Lee Losey II, 34, of 818 Lancaster St., Marietta, for receiving stolen property, a felony. Losey was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheaves of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 16 at 6:09 p.m. A warrant was served at the jail for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, and a Guernsey County felony warrant for drug possession.

* Chad Edward Mick, 23, of 51962 Fishpot Road, Clarington, for probation violation, a felony. Mick was arrested at the Marietta City Probation Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 16 at 6:23 p.m.

* Lynn Ann Elkayam, 40, 2255 Tick Ridge Road, Vincent, for theft, a felony. Elkayam was arrested at her residence by Deputy Parks of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 16 at 8:05 p.m.

* James Madison Fox Jr., 36, of Marietta, for intoxicated disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Fox was arrested by Deputy Allendar of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 16 at 11:42 p.m.

* Gary Lee Jackson Jr., 34, of 300 Fifth St., Marietta, for intoxicated disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Jackson was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 16 at 11:45 p.m.

* Stephanie Elizabeth Dunn, 32, 1170 Goose Run Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Dunn was arrested at her residence by Lt. Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 16 at 11:50 p.m.

MARIETTA – On Aug. 18, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports.

* On Aug. 16, Deputy Johnson responded to an incident at 2255 Tick Ridge Road, Fairfield Township. Mary Ann Sutton, of 2096 Tick Ridge Road, Vincent, reported her husband, Paul, the vehicle owner, had a vehicle taken from him, without his permission. The suspect, Lynn Ann Elkayam, 40, of 2255 Tick Ridge Road, Vincent, lives with the owner’s son, who normally drives the vehicle. The son was interviewed and advised he had not given Elkayam permission to drive or take the vehicle. The vehicle was entered in the National Crime Information Center and surrounding agencies were advised. A warrant is being requested for Elkayam for theft of a motor vehicle.

* On Aug. 16, Deputy Allender along with the Reno Volunteer Fire Department Squad were dispatched to 10 Browns Road, Marietta, in reference to a male subject passed out on the sidewalk at Cedarbark Village Apartments. A male subject was sitting on the sidewalk, and was conscious when Deputy Allender arrived. An odor of alcohol was detected, along with minor injuries. The man was identified as James Madison Fox Jr., 36. Fox would not advise how he sustained his injuries and was slurring his words when he spoke. Fox would not advise where he lived; however, his last known address is 405 Lord St. Witnesses have seen the individual before; however, he stated he did not live there. Fox was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail.

* On Aug. 16, Deputy Hunter and Deputy Black responded to 1170 Goose Run Road, Marietta, to a welfare check of two children. Stephanie E. Dunn, 32, had also called and reported she had been assaulted at the residence. Dunn was found in disarray in the front yard. A witness had seen Dunn chase her husband, Aaron L. Dunn, into the residence, striking him in the face. As this occurred Dunn appeared to be intoxicated, and unable to care for her children. A witness tried to take the children to their residence, in which Dunn became upset and struck the witness to try and stop him from taking the children to safety. The victim, Aaron Dunn, confirmed that he was struck by his wife. Aaron Dunn did have marks on his neck and face. Deputies met with Stephanie Dunn and placed her under arrest for domestic violence and transported her to the Washington County Jail.

* On Aug. 17, Sgt. Reeder was dispatched to 38 Townhall Road, Marietta, to a report of two men fighting at this address. The one male subject, known to Sgt. Reeder as Kenneth Ewing Tilton, 46, of 730 Dixon Ridge Road, Lowell, was observed entering the back door of the residence. Sgt. Reeder met with Tilton outside in which he detected a very strong odor of alcohol from his breath as he spoke. Tilton advised Sgt. Reeder “I did it, take me to jail” before he was asked any questions. Tilton advised he was drunk and on probation. A witness came forward and stated that Tilton had pushed his live in girlfriend, Ruth E. Thrasher, against the kitchen wall. The witnesses attempted to intervene in which Tilton raised his fist to hit him, and he struck Tilton in the face. The two continued outside with the witness pushing Tilton to the ground after he raised his fist again. Tilton was asked about pushing Thrasher with him stating, “I admit everything.” Thrasher confirmed what Tilton had done, and stated the evening prior he slapped her in the face. Tilton was placed under arrest for domestic violence and was transported to the Washington County Jail.

* Brandon D. Ramage, of 206 Jennison St., Beverly, failure to appear.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Wednesday and Thursday:

* Michael Charles Plaugher, 37, of 108 Sacra Via, Marietta, for driving under suspension and contempt of court order, both misdemeanors. Plaugher was arrested at his residence by Deputy Carr of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 17 at 9:31 a.m.

* Kenneth Ewing Tilton, 46, of 730 Dixon Ridge Road, Lowell, for domestic violence and probation violation, both misdemeanors. Tilton was arrested in Devola by Sgt. Reeder of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 17 at 8:58 p.m.

* Ted Jackson Nutter, 41, of 4115 Summersville Lake Road, Summersville, for failure to appear and contempt of court order, both misdemeanors. Nutter was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 17 at 11:57 p.m.

* Heidi Anna Marie Talafhah, 24, of 3301 Central Ave., Parkersburg, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Talafhah was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 18 at 1:30 a.m.

* Thomas Dean Joy, 27, of 106 Fay St., Marietta, for domestic violence and parole violation, both felonies. Joy was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 18 at 2:05 a.m.

* Cody Allen Shankland, 20, of 3568 Finkle Hill Road, Beverly, for possession of drugs, a felony. Shankland was arrested in Beverly by Trooper Knowlton of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 18 at 2:49 a.m.

* Justin Lee Seenes, 21, 622 Baker St., Zanesville, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Seenes was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Richards of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 18 at 4:19 a.m.

* Richard Stepfon Wilson, 21, of 450 Baker St., Zanesville, for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors. Wilson was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 18 at 6:07 a.m.

* James Arthur Henes Jr., 40, of 121 Sharon St., Marietta, for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor. Henes was arrested at the Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman McElroy of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 11, at 9:36 a.m.

* Richard Paul Gatterdam, 31, of 129 Collingwood Avenue, Whitehall, for OVI, probation violation, and contempt of court order, all misdemeanors. Gatterdam was arrested in Franklin County by Deputy Gerber of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 11, at 3:07 p.m.

* Corrie Douglas Hague, 25, of 559 Salster Road, Fleming, for domestic violence and endangering children, both misdemeanors. Hague was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Parks of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 11, at 4:26 p.m.

* Bradley Michael Truesdell, 30, Akron, for driving under suspension and speed limits, assured clear distance, both misdemeanors. Truesdell was arrested on Ohio 7 by Trooper Seabolt of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 11, 10:31 p.m.

* Jessica Lynn Stevens, 35, of 865 Cornerville Road, Reno, for theft and criminal trespass, both misdemeanors. Stevens was arrested by Patrolman Bonnette of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 11, at 10:56 p.m.

MARIETTA – On Aug 10, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports.

* On Aug. 7, Herbert L. Nunn, of 121 Brant Drive, Marietta, reported vandalism and burglary to a camp site on Pam Road, Grandview Township.

* On Aug. 8, Lt. Gherke observed a truck stopped sideways in the road on Briggs Hill Road at the intersection of Veto Road, Dunham Township. The driver was out of the vehicle and the vehicle owner was a passenger. The female driver, Tammy R. Vangorden, of 1418 Barth Road, Belpre, reported that she had stopped at this location to urinate, after driving from Cutler. Upon requesting Vangorden’s operator’s license she produced a State ID card. A check through dispatch revealed that she was under suspension. A citation for driving under suspension was issued to Vangorden.

* On Aug. 8, deputies along with the Wesley, Chesterhill and Stockport Volunteer Fire Departments responded to 1855 Ohio 676 in reference a mobile home fire. The resident, Verla Blind, stated she was inside the home and heard crackling and popping and then noticed smoke. Blind obtained a couple of items and immediately left the home. No injuries were reported to Blind, however the home was a total loss.

* On Aug. 9, Paula Beaver, 635 Hadley Hollow Road, Marietta, reported medication removed from her residence.

* On Aug. 9, Deputy Hall responded to 108 Acme Street to meet with Melissa Mackey. Mackey reported her son was bitten by a dog while at a home on Congleton Ridge Road.

* On Aug. 10, Sgt. Mankins filed charges on Chavazze L. Kidder, of 148 Oak Drive, Little Hocking and Shawn D. Lent, 148 Oak Drive, Little Hocking for disorderly conduct. Neighbors reported subjects were in the front yard yelling at each other, waking them up. Witnesses also heard a loud bang, which they believed to be a gunshot. Kidder reportedly left the residence and Lent took off walking. Witnesses did not observe any weapons in the hands of Lent or Kidder. Deputies learned that Kidder became angry at his mother for not taking him somewhere he wanted to go and began screaming in her face. Lent advised Kidder not to talk to his mother that way at which time a verbal altercation began between Kidder and Lent. Kidder shoved Lent and Lent picked up a shovel and struck a piece of plywood and told Kidder to leave. Neither Kidder nor Lent could be located at the time of the report for interviews. Deputies continued to try and locate Kidder and Lent the following day and finally did so at the residence. Lent stated Kidder began arguing with his mother the previous evening and Lent and Kidder both made threats to each other. Attempts to locate Kidder were still unsuccessful. A summons through Marietta Municipal Court is being requested for both Chavazze Kidder and Shawn Lent.

The following warrants were received at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:

* David Allen Craig Jr., 39, of 735 Eighth Street, apartment downstairs, Marietta, for failure to appear.

* Jason David Gore, 32, of 405 Couglar Street, New Matamoras, for interference with custody.

* Nicole Renee Hancock, 27, of P.O. Box 695, Parkersburg, for breach of recognizance.

* Nakuma E. Mayle, 38, of 230 Creedmore Drive, Zanesville, for disorderly conduct.

* Jessica Stevens, of 25980 Ohio 7, Marietta, for theft.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail on Tuesday Aug. 9:

* Jason James Corp, 42, of 2080 Bender Road, Marietta, for receiving stolen property, a misdemeanor. Corp was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 9 at 1:47 p.m.

* Brandon Michael Schmidt, 26, of Marietta, for operating without a valid operating license, possession of drug instruments, and contempt of court order, all misdemeanors. Schmidt was arrested at Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 9 at 2:09 p.m.

* Joseph Franklin Wells Jr., 25, of 189 Fourth St., Lowell, for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Wells was arrested at the Marietta City Probation Department by Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 9 at 4:27 p.m.

* David Michael Taylor, 26, of 4450 Barnett Ridge Road, Fleming, for driving under suspension, a misdemeanor. Taylor was arrested at his residence by Deputy Reeder of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 9 at 9:57 p.m.

MARIETTA – On Aug. 11, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports.

* On Aug. 10, deputies responded to 115 Ohio Blvd., Marietta, to a domestic incident. The victim, Ashley N. Cochran, went to a neighbor’s home with her child to separate from the situation. The suspect, John Phillip Estes, 29, of 115 Ohio Blvd., Marietta, met with officers and advised that he needed to go to jail because he “beat” his girlfriend. Estes states that when he returned home he found his girlfriend, Cochran, passed out on the couch while their child was in a separate room. Estes stated that this upset him and he began hitting Cochran multiple times in the face. Estes was then placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail. Cochran stated that she was punched in the face and head numerous times by Estes. She stated further that Estes had elbowed her in the back of the head, as well as kicked her in the cheek area. Medical treatment was given to Cochran for her injuries. Deputies received more information as to the injuries sustained by Cochran, and further charged Estes with felony felonious assault.

* On Aug. 11, Sandra Fought, 74, of 740 Wallace Road, Little Hocking, let her dog outside unrestrained from her home. Fought’s dog left the property, going onto the neighbor’s property. A citation for failure to restrain is being requested for Fought.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Wednesday and Thursday:

* Jeremy Scott Russell, 39, of 23 Wilding Circle, Ravenswood, for burglary and breaking and entering, both felonies. Russell was arrested at South Central Regional Jail by Deputy Moyers of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 10 at 1:37 p.m.

* Jason Lee Strickler, 37, of 765 Danas Run Road, Newport, for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Strickler was arrested by Probation Officer Brockmeier of the Marietta City Probation Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 10 at 3:40 p.m.

* John Phillip Estes, 29, of 115 Ohio Blvd., Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor, probation violation and felonious assault, both felonies. Estes was arrested at his residence by Deputy Thorpe of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 10 at 9:02 p.m.

* Craig Steven Freshwater, 55, of 731 Sycamore St,, Belpre, for intoxicated disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Freshwater was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Heddleston of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 10 at 11:51 p.m.

* Corey Lewis Garlock, 24, of 4445 Zion Ridge Road, Marietta, for driving under suspension, speed, no seat belt, unauthorized use of motor vehicle, all misdemeanors. Garlock was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Seabolt of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 11 at 12:21 a.m.

MARIETTA – On Aug. 9, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports:

* On Aug. 5, Bianca M. Peaks, of 5200 Benham Drive, Columbus, reported she was assaulted by a subject in Decatur Township. This case remains under investigation.

* On Aug. 6, a deputy was dispatched to the residence of Erin N. Kinney, of 606 Fifth St., Lowell, to a report of a male subject breaking windows and fighting with a female at her residence. Kinney reported that Alex Lamar Sollberger, 30, of 1605 Oak St., Parkersburg, came to the residence and smashed four windows and struck her head off of the concrete. The deputy requested a squad attend to Kinney’s injuries. Witnesses at the scene gave the same account of the incident as Kinney. Sollberger had left the residence prior to the deputy’s arriving, however shortly thereafter turned himself in to another deputy. Sollberger had minor injuries to his hand, which was caused when he damaged a door. Sollberger stated he returned to her home after leaving and became upset when he saw her with another male. A confrontation began between the two in which Kinney sustained her injuries. Sollberger also damaged a laptop belonging to Kinney. Sollberger was transported to the Washington County Jail where he faces charges of assault, criminal damaging, and vandalism. Once arriving at the jail and being searched, four green pills, which he stated were Klonopin, were found in his pocket, which he did not have a prescription for. This medication was found to be Clonazepam. Sollberger is also being charged with possession of drugs.

* On Aug. 6, a deputy completed a private property crash report involving Benjamin L. Ours, of 752 Christy Road, Fleming. Ours exited a drive on Veto Road when the boom portion of his vehicle struck the phone lines.

* On Aug. 6, Gregory A. Dowler, homeless, reported he was hitchhiking on Ohio 339, Waterford, when he was given a ride by a subject. Dowler became afraid riding with the subject and opened the door and jumped out. Medical attention was given to Dowler. This case remains under investigation.

* On Aug. 7, a deputy responded to Rummer Road, regarding Sharon J. Miller, 42, of 1114 Walsh Road, Vincent, being intoxicated and knocking on neighbors’ doors. Witnesses stated they were outside having a camp fire and consuming alcohol when Miller became agitated and wanted to leave and go back to Walsh Road. Miller was advised that she should not, due to her state and that she just needed to go to bed and leave in the morning. Miller became more agitated and began walking through the neighborhood. Neighbors called stating that Miller was beating on their door wanting a ride, therefore the Sheriff’s Office was contacted. Miller was told to return to the residence for her safety and the safety of others. The Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene again in reference to Miller again causing a disturbance at the home. Miller made contact with deputies and continued to argue with deputies about her condition. Miller was advised at that time she was going to be placed under arrest for disorderly conduct by intoxication for her safety. Prior to placing Miller in the patrol car she was asked if she had anything on/or in her due to her going to jail, where she would be in a secured areas and could be charged with conveyance. Miller advised she had nothing on her or in her. Once at the Washington County Jail Corrections Officers patted down Miller and again asked if she had anything on/or in her, which she denied. Miller was visually observed by Corrections Officers during the dressing out process. Miller exited the room and a cellophane wrapper/baggie was located in her bra concealed, containing five white pills, found to be Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. Miller was also charged with illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility.

* On Aug. 7, the Warren Volunteer Fire Department Squad and a deputy responded to the scene of a deceased male individual. No foul play is suspected.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail on Monday Aug. 8:

* Charles Edward Haught III, 32, of 8620 Ohio 339, Vincent, for probation violation. Haught was arrested at Marietta Municipal Court by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 8, at 3:30 p.m.

* Quintin Avery Ramirez, 25, of 185 Ohio 555, Little Hocking, for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Ramirez was arrested by Probation Officer Farrell of the Marietta City Probation Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 8, at 7:01 p.m.

MARIETTA – On Aug. 5, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports.

* On Aug. 3, Sgt. Reeder was on patrol in Adams Township, Ohio 60 when two vehicles pulled off of the side of the road. Sgt. Reeder stopped to see if assistance was needed and recognized the driver as Scott A. Shankland, 46, of 401 Marion Street, Marietta. Shankland stated the other vehicle was having engine problems and he was following him to auto shop. A check was done on Shankland, finding an active warrant for his arrest. The driver of the second vehicle, Nick Lee Losey, 53, of 111 West Montgomery Street, Lot 10, Marietta, stated that he asked Shankland to follow him to Beverly to drop his vehicle off at a shop. A K9 sniff was done on both vehicles with an indication on both. A search was done finding items in both vehicles, which are owned by Losey. Shankland was arrested on the outstanding warrant and issued a citation for driving under suspension. A summons is being requested for Losey for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

* On Aug. 3, deputies along with the Reno Volunteer Fire Department Squad were dispatched to Marietta Township in reference to a 23 year old male requiring medical attention. This case remains under investigation.

* On Aug. 4, Sgt. Mankins along with the Little Hocking Volunteer Fire Department Squad were dispatched to Braun Road in reference to an unresponsive male. No foul play is suspected.

* On Aug. 4, Jacqueline L. Hysell, of 788 Luke Chute Road, Waterford, reported a package of merchandise mailed to her was delivered, but was apparently taken by someone off of her property. This case remains under investigation.

* On Aug. 3, Sgt. McGilton responded to Davis Road, Waterford, to pick up a dog found running loose in the area. Sgt. McGilton was familiar with the animal, belonging to Derrick M. LeMasters, 33, of Watertown Road. This dog has been picked up in the past for running loose. Contact was attempted with Lemasters and a message left for him. The dog was to be taken to the Humane Society and reclaimed by Lemasters on Aug. 4. In the evening on Aug. 4, this same dog was found running loose again on Davis Road. The dog was again taken to the Humane Society. A summons is being requested for failure to restrain.

Dickson was arrested on County House Lane by Trooper Knowlton of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 4, at 11:11 p.m.

* John Sherman Henry Jr., 18, of 2140 Caywood Road, Marietta, for speeding, no seatbelt, drug possession and open container, all misdemeanors. Henry was arrested on County House Lane by Trooper Knowlton of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 4, at 11:11 p.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Aug. 4:

* On Aug. 2, deputies responded to a possible domestic incident in Grandview Township. No threats of violence were reported.

* On Aug. 2, Sgt. McGilton responded to 5390 Anderson Road, Fleming, to a report of three dogs running loose. Contact was made with Kelly J. Bosner, who advised she owned three beagles and one pit bull. Bosner said one of her beagles did get loose this past weekend, but she had since purchased new collars to prevent the issue from happening again. The dogs were not registered through the Washington County Auditor’s Office. A citation was issued to Bosner for failure to register.

* On Aug. 2, Deputy Johnson was dispatched to 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, to conduct a welfare check. Jason Bartimus stated that his brother, Donald Bartimus, was driving a vehicle, and when they passed 2815 Sealy Ridge Road, the residence of Roy Stanton Duley Jr., Duley threw the head of a sledgehammer through the windshield of the vehicle, striking Jason. Donald stopped the vehicle along the road, where a brief confrontation occurred between him and Duley. Jason was gasping for air and did not remember what happened, and was transported for medical attention. Donald further explained that Duley chased him around the car, while carrying a .22-caliber rifle in his hand. Duley at one point hit the front of the vehicle using the butt of the firearm, causing damage to a bug shield. Duley was later located at his residence and placed under arrest on charges of felonious assault and criminal damaging. He was transported to the Washington County Jail.

* Samantha Dawn Evans, 23, of 129 Greene St., Marietta, for failure to appear and probation violation, both misdemeanors. Evans was arrested at Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the jail at 10:15 a.m.

* Michael Allen Hupp, 43, of 19045 State Route 821, Macksburg, for theft, a felony. Hupp was arrested in Washington County Common Pleas Court by Deputy Moyers of the sheriff’s office and processed into the jail at 10:54 a.m.

* Scott Allen Shankland, 46, of 401 Marion St., Marietta, for failure to appear, a felony. Shankland was arrested by Sgt. Reeder of the sheriff’s office and processed into the jail at 12:09 p.m.

* Jenna Danielle Radabaugh, 26, of 101 Washington St., Marietta, for possession of drug instruments, a misdemeanor. Radabaugh was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Walters of the Marietta Police and processed into the jail at 2:28 p.m.

* Mary Marie Shields, 40, of 571 Rocky Point Road, Fleming, for auto theft, a misdemeanor. Shields was arrested by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta Police and processed into the jail at 5:34 p.m.

* Thomas R. Poole, 48, of 2819 W. 69th Street, Davenport, Ind., for failure to appear, a felony. Poole was picked up in Indiana by Sgt. Smith of the sheriff’s office and processed into the jail at 7:21 p.m.

* Demauntezz Juankee Oatis, 30, of 236 Chestnut St., Hamilton, for failure to appear, a felony. Oatis was picked up at the Butler County Jail by Sgt. Smith of the sheriff’s office and processed into the jail at 7:55 p.m.

* Jesse Scott Books, 34, of 736 Greene St., Marietta, for failure to appear, a felony. Books was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Huck of the Marietta Police and processed into the jail at 9:44 p.m.

* Dakota Dee Hines, 25, of 936 Fifth St., Marietta, for violation of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Hines was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Richards of the Marietta Police and processed into the jail at 10:31 p.m.

MARIETTA – On Aug. 3, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports.

* On July 30, Andrew Gill, of 2410 Dalzell Road, Whipple, reported a CVA Wolfe muzzleloader missing from his home.

* On July 30, April S. Elliott, of 1200 Collins Road, Whipple, reported items destroyed at her rental property.

* On July 30, William Bauerbach, of 19636 Ohio 550, Marietta, reported gasoline removed from his property.

* On July 30, deputies responded to the Washington County Home in reference to a combative resident.

* On July 31, while patrolling Ohio 821, Deputy Hall noticed a vehicle matching the description of a suspect’s vehicle. Contact was made with the driver, Daniel I. Mitchell, of 635 Cambridge Street N, Cumberland. A check showed Mitchell was under noncompliance suspension. A citation was issued to Mitchell for driving under suspension.

* On July 31, Ryan W. Carper, of 1235 Coal Run Road, Reno, reported a 1994 Chevrolet van was removed from 30745 Ohio 7, Newport, where it was sitting along the road for sale.

* On July 31, Brett Rauch, Cole Coffman Road, Marietta, reported buildings entered on his property on Indian Run Road. Doors and latches were damaged as well as miscellaneous items being removed.

* On July 31, deputies along with the Newport Volunteer Fire Department Squad responded to Newport Township to assist a male individual.

* On July 31, corrections officers at the Washington County Jail were conducting visual observations and urinalysis tests of female inmates after learning of drugs possibly being present inside the facility. Lindsay Ann Jessee, 30, of 6607 N. Elyria Road, West Salem, was escorted into a shower area where officers found a blue container inside a condom, along with a packet of Suboxone. Deputy Schwendeman was summoned to the area to inspect the contraband, which he found to contain two additional Suboxone packets, seven yellow pills (Klonopin), eight partial white rectangular pills, and four round white pills. Jessee will be charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree felonies, and one count of conveying into a detention facility, a third-degree felony.

* On Aug. 1, Douglas Stephen, of 1 Courthouse Lane, Apt. 3, Marietta, reported that a friend of his asked to borrow money to pay a fine. Stephen allowed the subject to use his debit card and the subject took over $900 from his account.

* On Aug. 1, Lt. Hornbeck responded to the area of Buchanan Road in reference to a motor vehicle crash where the driver fled into a cornfield. Deputies assisted Lt. Hornbeck, along with the Ohio State Highway Patrol Post 84. Lt. Hornbeck was able to see the subject run between hay bales and gave verbal commands for the subject to stop, identifying himself as law enforcement. The suspect continued to flee and Lt. Hornbeck continued to advise him to stop. The suspect eventually tripped and fell to the ground. Lt. Hornbeck was able to take the suspect into custody. The suspect was identified as Dale Alexander Doebereiner, 29, of 2127 Righteous Ridge Road, Waterford. Doebereiner was turned over to the Ohio State Highway Patrol where he was charged with OVI and failure to control. Lt. Hornbeck additionally charged Doebereiner with obstructing official business. Doebereiner was transported to the Washington County Jail by Trooper Handschumacher.

* On Aug. 1, Deputy Thorpe responded to Barlow to a report of a female possibly being struck by a vehicle. Deputy Thorpe met with Seana Berga who reported her and her husband, Matthew Twain Berga, 38, of 112 Franklin Drive, Little Hocking, left Marietta and arrived at a residence on Ohio 339 in an attempt to see her children. Seana stated her 4-month-old son was also in the vehicle. Berga stated she and her husband and child entered the residence and a short time later Matthew became agitated, yelling obscenities at her. Seana advised Matthew wanted to leave with their son. Seana further stated Matthew grabbed hold of her and threw her to the floor, then striking her head off of the floor, until she blacked out. Seana stated she woke and her husband and son were gone. Seana got to her feet and saw her husband leaving the driveway with her son.

Seana proceeded to try to stop her husband from leaving with their child, who was not in a safety seat, by reaching in the window. At that time Matthew continued driving, dragging Seana alongside the vehicle. Seana became free of the vehicle and Matthew continued on in an unknown direction. Medical attention was given to Seana by the Barlow Volunteer Fire Department Squad. Deputies responded to the Little Hocking address; however, Matthew Berga was not located. A short time later Matthew Berga contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center and advised he would meet with deputies. Deputies met with Matthew in which he refused to advise where the child was. Based on the investigation completed Matthew Berga was placed under arrest for domestic violence and obstructing official business and transported to the Washington County Jail.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Tuesday and Wednesday:

* Roy Stanton Duley Jr., 48, of 2815 Sealey Ridge Road, Vincent, for felonious assault, a felony, and criminal damaging, a misdemeanor. Duley was arrested at his residence by Lt. Hornbeck of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 2 at 10:12 p.m.

* Josey Cheyenne Barton, 25, of 396 Dodge Ave., Williamstown, for theft, a misdemeanor. Barton was arrested at Speedway by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 3 at 12:29 a.m.
