MARIETTA – Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports and charges on April 26.
* On April 25 Lt. Stackpole was on patrol near Hilltop Raceway when a call was received from the track security that there was possibly an intoxicated individual on the property at the race track. Contact was made with James Fry, 560 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, who advised he had no driver’s license. Stackpole had observed this same vehicle earlier, driving on the roadway. Fry was issued a citation for driving under OVI suspension.
* On April 25 the Barlow Volunteer Fire Department Squad and deputies responded to Palmer Township to a report of a deceased male individual. No foul play is suspected. Case closed.
* On April 25 deputies responded to 1187 McGill Road to meet with Kevin D. Dewees in reference to a trespassing complaint. Dewees advised officers that he has a civil litigation against their neighbor, David L. Antill, 1245 McGill Road, Vincent. This litigation prohibits Antill from being on the dispute property between the homes; however, on Tuesday Antill was standing in the middle of it videotaping the property lines. In deputies speaking with Antill he did not deny entering the disputed property section. A summons is being requested through Marietta Municipal Court for criminal trespassing.
* On April 25 Chad Alan Westbrook, 2180 Federal Road, Little Hocking, reported a breaking and entering at a home next door to him. Westbrook advised that items to include a weedeater, Stihl weedeater, McCullough chainsaw, Craftsman chainsaw, Honda mower motor, Bear Alaskan hunting bow, guitar and items were removed from the residence. This case remains under investigation.
* On April 26 deputies responded to the Larry and Carol Schwendeman residence, 427 Strecker Lane, Marietta, regarding a possible domestic situation. Larry Schwendeman and his sons were outside arguing when deputies arrived. Sean Schwendeman appeared to be intoxicated and had called his parents’ home several times throughout the evening wanting a ride from the bars. The Schwendemans would not go pick him up at which time he stated he would come to their home and make them give him a ride. Sean Schwendeman did arrive at his parents’ home intoxicated and pounded on the door until his father came to the door and advised him to leave several times. Sean’s mother picked up the phone to call 911 at which time Sean ripped the phone from her, and shattered it into pieces, making it inoperable. Sean shoved his father to the ground, attempting to gain entry back into the home. Deputies arrested Sean Schwendeman, 4725 Zion Ridge Road, Marietta, for two counts of domestic violence, criminal trespassing, and disrupting public service. A temporary protection order was requested by the Schwendemans. Schwendeman was transported to the Washington County Jail.
The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail on Monday:
* Finley Thomas Marks, 29, 49 Brown Ave., Parkersburg, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Marks was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Tewanger of the Belpre City Police and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Sean Clay Schwendeman, 46, 4725 Zion Ridge Road, Marietta, for disrupting public service, a felony, probation violation, two counts of domestic violence, criminal trespass, all misdemeanors. Schwendeman was arrested on Strecker Lane by Deputy Hunter of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail.

MARIETTA – Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports and charges on April 27.
* On April 26, deputies responded to a business in the Dunham Township area. It was reported that upon arrival they observed a man exit the building. Contact was made with the individual and it appears that nothing is missing from the business. This case will be closed.
* On April 26, Zachary Hunter West, 1574 Suzanne St., Belpre, reported that upon driving his Jeep Wrangler and stopping at a couple of businesses, he found that all four of his tires had been slashed. This case remains under investigation.
* On April 26, Sgt. McGilton responded to Audrey L. Augenstein’s home at 12830 Ohio 676, Waterford, regarding dog licenses for 2016 that had not been purchased. Contact had been attempted earlier in the month, with both attempts meeting with negative results. Augenstein had previously been told by the Washington County Auditor’s Office that she did not qualify for a kennel license and would have to register each dog individually. McGilton requested a summons for Augenstein through Marietta Municipal Court for failure to register the 10 dogs before Jan. 31, 2016.
* On April 26, Samantha Sue Six, 1200 Park Ave., New Matamoras, reported a theft from her home.
* On April 26, deputies along with the Wesley, Stockport and Chesterhill Volunteer Fire Departments responded to 430 Spears Hill Road, Palmer Township, to a fire at this location. The structure is owned by David Burt, 4235 Patten Mills Road, Stockport. The garage with an apartment is a total loss.
* On April 27, Deputy Carr assisted in the removal of marijuana plants in Ludlow Township. This case remains under investigation.
The following warrants were received at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:
* April N. Calvert, 325 Sandhill Road, Reno, for grand theft auto.
* Corey Cowan, 25 Lane Road, Vincent, for driving under suspension, failure to display plates.
* Shannon Rushing, 4401 Sparling Road, Waterford, for failure to complete list of assets and liabilities and failure to appear for court hearing.
The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Tuesday and Wednesday:
* Thomas Lee Thompson, 50, 3211 Pioneer Trail, Portal, Ga., on a warrant for contempt of court order, a felony. Thompson was picked up in Georgia by Deputy Sheaves of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* David Lee Rowe Jr., 39, 711 Warren Ave., Belpre, for two counts of theft, both misdemeanors. Rowe was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Tewanger of the Belpre City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Timothy Ryan Hyde, 23, 1501 Cottage St., Ashland, Ohio, or disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Hyde was arrested on Pike Street-Ohio 7 North by Patrolman Hilverding of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Vernon James Morehouse, 52, 40 Dye St., Newport, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Morehouse was arrested at his residence by Deputy Hunter of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on April 28:
* On April 27, deputies responded to the Dollar General in Lowell for an alarm. Upon arrival officers found the building to have been entered.
* On April 27, Scott A. Wendelken, 126 Pine Drive, Little Hocking, reported that upon returning home he found his home had been forcibly entered and items removed. Those items include a Sony Playstation 3 and games, Xbox 360 and games, shotguns, rifles, guns, compound bows, jewelry and a 2006 Suzuki four wheeler.
The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail on April 27:
* Brandon Michael Hall, 31, 721 Ohio Ave., Belpre, on warrants for contempt of court order, open container and OVI suspension, all misdemeanors. Hall was arrested in Belpre by Deputy J. Hall of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 27 at 9:13 a.m.
* Timothy Edward Blair, 52, 37903 Wagner Road, Dexter City, for assault, a misdemeanor. Blair was arrested at the fairgrounds by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 27 at 12:41 p.m.
* Mandy Leigh Biehl, 39, 1109 Second St., Lowell, for two counts of theft, misdemeanors. Biehl was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 27 at 5:14 p.m.
* Shannon Eugene Rushing, 48, 4401 Sparling Road, Waterford, on a warrant for failure to appear. Rushing was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman Perine of the Village of Beverly Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 27 at 5:50 p.m.
* Matthew Raymond Fitch, 43, 279 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for probation violation, a felony. Fitch was arrested in Marietta by Sgt. Reeder of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 27 at 9:14 p.m.
* There are 19 females and 84 males housed at the Washington County Jail.
Washington Sheriff
MARIETTA – The following reports and charges were reported on April 25 by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
* On April 23 Deputy Hall responded to meet with Alfred D. Beaver, 325 Sandhill Road, Reno, regarding a 2007 Toyota Camry. Beaver stated that April N. Calvert resides with him at that location and after picking her up from jail they returned home. Beaver stated on April 6 he noticed the vehicle gone, and states he had not given Calvert permission to drive this vehicle. Beaver had requested several times of Calvert to return the car; however, she never has. Deputy Hall made contact with Calvert and advised her to return the car to avoid prosecution, as Beaver did not want to prosecute her. The vehicle has still not been returned. A warrant for the arrest of April Calvert is being requested through Marietta Municipal Court for grand theft auto.
* On April 23 Deputy Metts completed a private property crash report for Mitchel Daniel Barth, 1359 Weppler Road, Lowell. Barth was exiting his driveway, driving over a temporary driveway from where a pipe line had been installed going through his property. The driveway collapsed and his vehicle ended up in a ditch, submerged in water.
* Deputy Carr responded to Muskingum Township, Ohio 60 area to a report of an empty syringe and lights lying along the roadway. The items were recovered and have been marked for disposal.
* On April 24, Deputy McConnell responded to 99 Sandhill Road, Marietta, in reference to a domestic disturbance. McConnell met with Jane Miller, who stated her live-in boyfriend, Zachary L. O’Dell, had threatened her. O’Dell had left the home prior to Miller calling 911. Miller stated that when O’Dell returned there he was belligerent to her, cursing and threatening her. Deputy McConnell was able to locate O’Dell driving on Colegate Drive in which he conducted a traffic stop. O’Dell denied the accusations; however, he was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail. Miller requested a temporary protection order be issued.

* Natasha Marie Slyer, 25, 3569 Veto Road, Vincent; fourth-degree felony burglary, 60 days county jail.
* Garland D. Randolph III, 51, 553 Blue Knob Road, Marietta; second-degree felony, pandering obscenities, 13 counts, 4 years prison.
* Miranda Marie Casteel, 29, 8248 Ohio 239, Stewart; fifth-degree felony drug possession, 31 days county jail.
* George Steven Dunn, 59, 8929 Ohio 555, Cutler; third-degree felony possession of chemicals, 120 days prison.
* Seth Everett Lawrence, 20, Marietta; fifth degree felony breaking and entering, and first degree felony complicity to arson, 10 years prison.
The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail on Friday and Sunday:
* Daniel Paul Williams, 28, 1085 Ohio 339, Belpre, for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Williams was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Probation Officer P. Brockmeier of the Marietta City Probation Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* David Daniel Carpenter, 52, 22500 Frostyville Road, Caldwell, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was arrested at Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Richards of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Joel Edward Cooke, 26, 114 Dean St,, Marietta, for receiving stolen property, a misdemeanor. Cooke was arrested at Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Samuel Jason Kohan, 43, 1885 Main St., Apt. 1, Stockport, for breaking and entering, a felony, and theft, a misdemeanor. Kohan was arrested on Ohio 550 by Deputy Reeder of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Andrew Bryant Tucker, 32, 221 Sheldon Ave., Marietta, for theft, driving under suspension and breach of recognizance, all misdemeanors. Tucker was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Venham of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Ross Lester Phillips III, 29, 329 Main St., Lower Salem, for OVI, OVI suspension, equipment plate light, all misdemeanors. Phillips was arrested in Marietta by Trooper Reiter of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and was processed into the Washington County Jail. Phillips is also being held on a felony charge of probation violation by Adult Parole Authority.
* Jodie Dawn Miller, 32, 255 Silver Globe Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, fighting, a misdemeanor. Miller was arrested by Patrolman Venham of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Steven Ronald Simons Jr., 32, 3549 Rangoon Drive, Westerville, on warrants for three counts repeat traffic offender, no turn signal, and no seat belt, all misdemeanors. Simons was arrested at the Washington County Jail by Deputy Black of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Timothy Alan Cline, 27, 1230 Goose Run Road, Marietta, for theft, a misdemeanor. Cline was arrested at Walmart by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Nathan Sean Tyson, 29, 608 Elm St., Belpre, for trafficking in drugs, a felony, and disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Tyson was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Keith Allen Huff, 32, 1308 Williamson Ave., New Matamoras, for domestic violence, a felony. Huff was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Blamble of the New Matamoras Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Zachary Lyle Odell, 51, 2686 E. Bueller Road, Lake City, Mich., for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Odell was arrested on Colegate Drive by Deputy McConnell of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail.

MARIETTA – The following reports and charges were reported on April 25 by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
* On April 22 Deputy Reeder responded to the Washington County Career Center, Ohio 676, Marietta, in reference to drug paraphernalia being located on the premises.
* On April 22 deputies were dispatched to the old Bartlett Elementary School at 2035 Ohio 550, regarding a breaking and entering. Dispatch advised that a check was done of the building per the owner, due to some trespassing. The subject checking detected fresh cigarette smoke coming from a room. Upon entering the room he found Samuel J. Kohan, 1885 Main St., Stockport, asleep on a couch. Kohan got up and left the building, advising that he knew he was trespassing. Kohan was stopped along Ohio 555 where he was found walking. Kohan was read his rights and was placed under arrest for breaking and entering and theft, due to tools he had taken from the building.
* On April 22 the Devola Volunteer Fire Department reported a car fire at 123 Woodrow St., Marietta. The owner of the 2006 Cadillac, Jerry Jenks, stated they had just returned home from shopping and after going inside noticed the fire. No foul play is suspected.
* On April 23 deputies, the Fearing, Reno and Little Muskingum Volunteer Fire Departments responded to 6009 Pleasant Ridge Road, Marietta, to a house fire at that location. The fire was extinguished; however the home is a total loss. No foul play is suspected.

MARIETTA – Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports and charges on April 22:
* On April 20, Sgt. McGilton met with Stacey Cartell, 19181 Ohio 821, Macksburg. Cartell was advised that she had not registered her dogs for 2016, and was issued a citation for failure to register.
* On April 20, deputies along with the Wesley Volunteer Fire Department responded to 275 Ohio 550, Amesville, regarding a vehicle fire at that location. Prior to the deputies arriving the fire department had extinguished the fire. The vehicle, a 2009 Hyundai Azera, was being worked on earlier in the day, and the residents attempted to extinguish the fire. There appears to be no foul play suspected.
* On April 21, Deputy Hunter completed a traffic crash report for James W. Booth, 214 Main St., Lowell, who was traveling on Ohio 7 in Warren Township when he struck a deer with his 2001 Ford F250 truck. Booth’s vehicle sustained front end functional damage.
* On April 21, Deputy Hunter responded to Cedarbark Apartments in reference to a break-in at this location. This case remains under investigation.
* On April 21, deputies responded to the 10000 block of Veto Road in Dunham Township regarding a home invasion. Around 8 a.m. three male subjects wearing hoodies entered a residence on Veto Road. These subjects tried to steal items from the home, officials said; however, it is unclear if anything was taken. The subjects fled the area on foot with the victim chasing them toward Tadpole Road. Anyone who may have been passing by the area is asked to call the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 740-376-7070, ext. 0. (126)
* On April 21, employees of the Washington County Career Center located marijuana plants planted on the school property. The plants were removed and a juvenile student with be summoned into Washington County Juvenile Court.
* On April 21, deputies responded to 8929 Ohio 555, Cutler, in reference to a breaking and entering. Joshua Colvin and Sheyenne Dunn advised that they left the home this date and upon returning they discovered a weedeater and prescription medications taken.
* On April 21, Gary Frye, 14670 Ohio 550, Fleming, reported that cattle belonging to a subject known to him had been out and on his property doing damage.
* On April 21, Margie M. Pugh, 643 Goose Run Road, Marietta, reported an Amana dryer removed from outside the residence.
* On April 22, Sherri L. Fisher, 72 Franklin Drive, Little Hocking, reported that a Bersa handgun had been removed from her home.
The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Thursday and Friday:
* Shanna Jo Gorrell, 37, 153 Washington St., Waterford, for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Gorrell was arrested at the Marietta City Probation Office by Probation Officer P. Brockmeier was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Kirstin Nicole Dutcher, 33, 274 Ridgewood Drive, Marietta, for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Dutcher was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Colten Wyatt Pugh, 24, 1110 Moody Ridge Road, Vincent, for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Pugh was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Derik Michael Wittekind, 24, Marietta, on warrants for two counts sex offender required to change address, and probation violation, all felonies. Wittekind was arrested on Seventh Street by Sgt. Johnson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Kellen John Quinn, 23, 3003 Memorial Court, Apt. 1421, Houston, for disorderly conduct. Quinn was arrested on Butler Street by Patrolman Bonnett of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* John Patrick Hanna, 23, 1024 Sudder Road, Glenshaw, Pa., for disorderly conduct. Hanna was arrested in Marietta by the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports and charges on April 21.
* On April 18, Sgt. McGilton received a complaint of a dog running loose from the residence of Kenneth Spence, 496 Moody Ridge Road, Belpre. The complainant reportedly videotaped the dog running loose away from the residence of Spence. A summons is being requested through Marietta Municipal Court for Kenneth Spence for failing to restrain his dog.
* On April 20, Dennis E. Coe, 55, 5846 Veto Road, Belpre, reported that his 2014 Kawasaki KXF250 motorcycle was taken. This motorcycle is valued at approximately $5,000.
The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail on Wednesday:
* Brian William Yarnell, 39, 145 Frederick St., Marietta, for burglary, a felony. Yarnell was arrested on Miller Avenue by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* James Lee Bywater, 42, 261 Main St., Malta, on warrants for no operator’s license, failure to register and no license plates, all misdemeanors. Bywater was picked up at the Morgan County line by Deputy Gerber of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Sherry Lynn Mills, 49, 315 Walnut St., Belpre, on a fugitive from justice charge, a misdemeanor. Mills was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Tewanger of the Belpre City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
* Charles Lloyd Augenstein, 62, 736 Greene St., Marietta, for inducing panic, a felony. Augenstein was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.
Washington Sheriff
MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports and charges on April 20:
* On April 18, Lt. Stackpole responded to the area of Stanleyville Road, Lawrence Township, to a report of a man going house to house asking for gasoline. Stackpole located the subject asleep in his vehicle. The subject, identified as David Daniel Carpenter, 52, 22500 Frostyville Road, Caldwell, had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage about his person, and was unstable on his feet upon exiting the vehicle. Carpenter had no knowledge of where he was when asked. Carpenter was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was given a portable breath test, resulting in his BAC being .296 percent.
* On April 18, Sgt. McGilton received a report of dogs running loose near High Street, Marietta. One of the dogs had been captured; however, the other dog was still running loose. McGilton recognized the dog as that belonging to Letticia J. Boehm, 434 Douglas Ave. The other dog loose is also Boehm’s. Boehm was issued a summons for failure to restrain her dogs.
* On April 18, Chad Westbrook, 31, 2180 Federal Road, Little Hocking, reported a vehicle, 2000 Subaru Forester, parked at a friend’s home broke down and was now missing. Westbrook reported that over the weekend he had a party and Christopher Caldwell, 34, 101 Twin Bridge Road, Little Hocking, was present at the party. The two became involved in an argument at which time Caldwell advised Westbrook that he would burn his car to the ground. Witnesses advised that after that evening the vehicle parked at 101 Twin Bridge Road had been seen burnt, and is now gone from that location. In speaking with Caldwell, he advised that he looked outside after he arrived home and the vehicle was on fire. He stated he carried buckets of water out to keep the grass and weeds from catching fire; however, he did not call the fire department or law enforcement. Caldwell denied making the comment that he would burn the vehicle to the ground; however, in locating the whereabouts of the vehicle, and in speaking with the landowner at that location, Deputy Hall was advised that Caldwell stated he burnt the vehicle. A warrant for the arrest of Christopher Caldwell for a fourth-degree felony arson is being requested through Marietta Municipal Court.
* On April 19, Lt. Stackpole was on patrol on U.S. 50, Blennerhassett Township when he observed a blue Hummer H3 bearing license plates that appeared to be expired. A check through dispatch showed the plates expired in 2015. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Corey Wayne Cowan, Lane Road, Vincent, Ohio. Cowan advised the vehicle belonged to his uncle; however, he did not have a valid operator’s license. A check confirmed that he was under drug suspension through Marietta Municipal Court. A citation was issued to Cowan for failure to register and driving under suspension.
* On April 19, Amy E. Martin, 24, 2435 Rocky Point Road, Fleming, reported that her home had been entered and items removed.
* On April 19, Thomas C. Kaptis, 41, 9580 Ohio 339, Vincent, reported that he was missing a S & W handgun and a Ruger rifle. Total value of items taken is approximately $550.
* On April 19, Sgt. Mankins was dispatched to the Rhonda K. Tilton residence at 730 Dixon Ridge Road, Lowell. This call was in reference to a reported burglary-theft complaint. Tilton reported jewelry items removed from the home.
* On April 19, Sgt. Mankins was at the Rhonda Tilton residence in Lowell on a burglary-theft complaint. Upon talking with Kenneth E. Tilton on the phone, he was slurring his words, and stated that he was coming back to the home. Tilton pulled into the driveway and upon exiting the vehicle a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected. As Tilton walked toward Sgt. Mankins he was unsteady on his feet. Field sobriety tests were conducted on Tilton, which he did poorly on. Upon checking with Tilton’s probation officer, Sgt. Mankins was advised to place him under arrest for probation violation. Mankins also charged Tilton with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and transported him to the Washington County Jail where he tested .282 percent BAC.
* On April 20, Deputy Hunter completed a private property accident report at the Par Mar, Barlow. Bailey Lee, 395 Warrior Drive, Vincent, was operating a 2005 Chrysler when they backed into a parked 2009 GM truck owned by Bradley H. Morris, 1111 Walsh Road, Vincent. Both vehicles sustained light damage.

* Tanner John Smith, 20, 901 Cisler Lane, Marietta, was arrested for probation violation, a felony. Smith was arrested at the Adult Parole Authority Office by Deputy Moyers of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 19 at 3:20 p.m.
* Sarah Marie Lightner, 33, Moyis Road, Tuppers Plains, was arrested for theft, a misdemeanor. Lightner was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 20 at 9:48 a.m.
* George Edward McAtee Jr., 41, 225 Sheldon Ave., Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. McAtee was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 20 at 11:42 a.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Department released the following reports on April 15:
* On April 14, Deputy McKee completed a private property accident report for Sinda J. Dyer, 27335 Ohio 7, Marietta. Dyer was driving her 2004 Chevrolet on a private drive and struck a fence. The vehicle sustained light functional damage.
* On April 14, deputies and the Matamoras Emergency Squad responded to Hickory Lane, Grandview Township, New Matamoras to a report of a domestic incident. Upon arrival Letticia Boehm, 19, 39 Hickory Lane stated her boyfriend, Jared Patrick Irvin, 22, 123 Fred Smith Road, New Matamoras, assaulted her at the residence. Boehm had fled the home and was located at a neighbor’s residence upon Deputy Carr arriving. While the squad was treating Boehm, Irvin was yelling at them, causing a disturbance. Deputy Carr secured Irvin, who was very agitated, continuing to yell, accusing Boehm of lying. Boehm further stated that Irvin arrived at the residence making accusations of her having an affair and began throwing things at her and pushing her while she held her young daughter. After other acts of violence, Boehm was able to flee the home. Irvin was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was charged with domestic violence.
* On April 14, Christina Robinson, 47, 4150 Sugar Run Road, Marietta, reported silver dollar certificates and other coins removed from her residence. A charge of theft is being filed on a 16 year old male subject for removing the items from the home.
* On April 15, Barbara Ann Pleasant, 35, 166 Ohio 339, Belpre, was contacted in reference her not registering her dogs through the Washington County Auditor’s Office in 2016. A citation for failure to register was issued.
* Jared Patrick Irvin, 22, 123 Fred Smith Road, New Matamoras, was arrested for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Irvin was arrested on Hickory Lane by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 14 at 10:59 p.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on April 14:
* On April 13, Sgt. McGilton was dispatched to the residence of Vickie Warne, 470 Hadley Hollow Road, Marietta, in reference to her dogs running loose and in the roadway. Warne advised one of her dogs had jumped out of a window and the other four dogs were outside to use the restroom. Warne’s dogs were observed in the roadway and chasing a car. Warne had been advised previous to this date to restrain her animals; she was cited for failure to restrain her dogs.
* On April 13, Deputy Carr responded to 728 Wells Road, Waterford, to a report of damage done to a resident’s door. In speaking with the residents it was learned they had found pry marks and broken glass to their door. This case remains under investigation.
* Rebecca Lou Sergent, 25, 1195 East Branch Road, Lowell, was sentenced to 17 months in prison for fourth-degree felony trafficking in cocaine.
* Trevor Bryce Hinojosa, 21, 312 Fifth St., Beverly, was arrested for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a felony. Hinojosa was arrested at his residence by Lt. Stackpole of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 13 at 5:41 p.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on April 13:
* On April 12, Sgt. McGilton was on patrol in Dunham Township and drove past the residence of Karen Bartimus, 2346 Sealy Ridge Road. McGilton observed five dogs running loose at that time. It was confirmed that Ruth and/or Karen Bartimus had not registered the dogs through the Washington County Auditor’s Office. Ruth Bartimus, 1309 Market St., Parkersburg, was at the home with the animals, advising they were her dogs. Ruth Bartimus was advised that Karen Bartimus had previously been charged with failure to restrain and failure to register these same dogs. Ruth Bartimus was issued a citation for failure to restrain and failure to register.
* On April 12, Sgt. McGilton responded to the Stacy Cook residence, 2228 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, regarding her owning dogs that had not been registered. Once arriving at the home McGilton observed four Jack Russell Terrier mix dogs through the window of the home. It was confirmed these dogs were not registered through the Washington County Auditor’s Office. A notice was left at the residence and contact was made with Cook, who advised she did own the dogs. A summons will be requested for Stacy Cook for failing to register the four dogs.
* A warrant was issued for Jessica D. Beaver, 765 Dana Run Road, Newport, for probation violation, by obtaining a new charge of assault, and probation violation, original charge operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
* A warrant was issued for Eric D. Hardie, 209 Virginia St., Marietta, for failure to appear for jail to serve 30 days, original charge theft, and failure to appear for jail to serve three days jail, original charge was breach of recognizance.
* A warrant was issued for Shannon S. Hines, 1220 Brackenridge Road, Vincent, for failure to report to Marietta Municipal Court Probation Department as previously ordered by the court, original charge violation of protection order.
* A warrant was issued for Michael D. Martin, 10185 Martin Pike, Fishers, Ind., for failure to appear in Marietta Municipal Court for a pretrial.
* Troy Allen Johnson, 19, 2065 Tick Ridge Road, Vincent, was sentenced to four years in prison for a fifth degree felony breaking and entering and first degree felony complicity to commit arson.
* Dustin Allan Adams, 28, 1413 Boulevard Drive, Belpre, was sentenced to six months in prison for a third degree felony illegal assembly or possession of chemical for manufacture of drugs.
* Kristin Nicole Dutcher, 33, 274 Ridgewood Drive, Apt. E, Marietta, was arrested for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Dutcher was arrested at the Marietta City Probation Office by Probation Officer Ferrell and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 12 at 12:02 p.m.
* Justin Thomas Moore, 26, 911 Cisler Lane, Marietta, for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Moore was arrested at the Marietta City Probation Office by Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 12 at 1:58 p.m.
* Steven J. Granger, 32, 2342 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, was arrested on a warrant for failure to restrain dogs, a misdemeanor. Granger was arrested at his residence by Deputy McPeek of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 12 at 2:11 p.m.
* Trent Dwight Mason, 27, 215 Franklin St., Marietta, was arrested for probation violation, a felony. Mason was arrested on Ohio 7 by Trooper Payne of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 12 at 4:26 p.m.
* Ashley Nicole Davis, 28, 1802 Spring St., Parkersburg, was arrested for breaking and entering, drug possession and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, all felonies. Davis was picked up at the Montgomery County Jail by Deputy Moyers of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 12 at 5:24 p.m.
* Michael Andrew Wallace II, 23, 11121 Veto Road, Belpre, was arrested for financial responsibility administrative suspension, a misdemeanor. Wallace was arrested on Ohio 7 by Trooper Gossett of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 12 at 6:17 p.m.
* Mason Andrew Nelson, 27, 889 Whealdon Road, Cutler, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear, a felony. Nelson was picked up at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail by Deputy Moyers of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 12 at 6:44 p.m.
* John Henry Parsons, 64, 180 Main St., Vincent, for assault, a misdemeanor. Parsons was arrested at Marietta Municipal Court by Deputy Huffer of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 13 at 10:44 a.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on April 8:
* On April 7, Sgt. McGilton was dispatched to 144 Anderson Lane, Waterford, to a report of Jennifer Lynn Nichols, 37, allowing her Husky dog to run loose. Witnesses stated that this animal had killed chickens, a rooster and ducks on nearby property belonging to Eric Schaad, 151 Anderson Lane. Nichols had left a note at the residence, apologizing for the incident. Nichols advised Sgt. McGilton that her dog had slipped out of its collar. It was also confirmed that Nichols had not purchased dog tags for 2016 for her two dogs. She was advised she had five days to get the dogs registered to avoid a citation for that offense. Nichols was issued a citation for failure to confine her dogs and it is requested of the court to order Nichols to pay restitution to the Schaads. Case remains under investigation pending registering the dogs.
* On April 7, deputies were dispatched to 122 Tennis Center Drive, Apt. 12, Marietta to a reported fight. Samantha Jo Streight, 27, reported she was assaulted by John H. Parsons, 64, 180 Main St., Vincent. Streight and Challis Howell, 33, returned to their residence and were confronted by Parsons and Iesha McFadden about Streight taking money from McFadden. A verbal confrontation ensued and a short time later Parsons attacked Streight, pulling her hair, taking her to the ground, choking her and striking her head on the concrete. Parsons had a weapon with him as well and upon Streight calling for help from Howell, Parsons struck Howell in the side with the object. Howell was able to tackle Parsons to the ground and escape inside with Streight; however, Parsons continued striking the door numerous times with the weapon he had with him. Parsons and McFadden then left the area. Witnesses at the scene were interviewed and deputies were advised by Marietta Police Department that Parsons had been in a vehicle crash at Virginia Street and Ohio 550. Deputy Huffer responded to the crash and placed Parsons under arrest, charging him with two counts of assault, and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
* Ginger Kaye Ratcliffe, 43, 206 Broughton Ave., Marietta, was sentenced to 30 months in prision for a third-degree felony illegal conveyance of weapons or drugs into a detention facility.
* Shamir Mareyea Burns, 19, 6179 Karl Road, Columbus, was sentenced to 180 days in county jail-prison for a fourth-degree felony trafficking with a specification.
* Shoshawna Lowers, 31, 970 Dixon Ridge Road, Lowell, was sentenced to 180 days for theft, receiving stolen property and forgery.
* John Henry Parsons, 64, 180 Main St., Vincent, was arrested for assault, a misdemeanor. Parsons was arrested by Deputy Huffer of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 7 at 10:47 p.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on April 6:
* On April 4, Deputy Metts met with David A. Burgess, 60, of Reedy, W.Va. Burgess reported a 2015 John Deere side-by-side was removed from his business in Washington County. This equipment is valued at over $15,000.
* On April 4, deputies were serving civil papers in the Cutler area when they came upon a 2016 Polaris Razor XP Turbo. Upon checking the vehicle identification number, it was learned that the Razor was stolen in October 2015 from Union City, Tenn. The deputies took possession of the Razor, which is valued at approximately $25,000.
* On April 5, Deputy McConnell responded to Tower Road, Little Hocking, where Natasha Wolf, 15, was reported to have left her residence in the night. On April 6 the deputies contacted the officers to advise that Wolf had been located. Officers met with Athens County and transported Wolf back to her residence.
* On April 5, deputies along with the Dunham Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to 347 Everson Road, the Kenneth Siders residence. Siders was mowing his yard and upon completion, parked his tractor in a portable garage. Siders was notified by his neighbor that the tractor and the canopy of the building were on fire. The fire was extinguished and no foul play is suspected.
* On April 5, deputies and the Little Muskingum Volunteer Fire Department, with the assistance of the Fearing Volunteer Fire Department, were dispatched to 1150 Fifteenmile Creek Road in reference to a brush fire. The property owner, Chester Henthorn, reported family members were burning trash and went inside after the fire was out. Subjects then looked outside a few minutes later and the fire had re-ignited and had spread up the hillside. The fire was extinguished and this case will be marked closed.
* On April 5, deputies were dispatched to Waterford Township in reference to a domestic violence incident. The Marietta City law director will be contacted in reference to possible charges.
* On April 5, Deputy Reeder responded to the residence of David Ray Flesher, 39, 225 Tadpole Run Road, Belpre, where a Dewalt miter saw and table saw were taken from the residence. The items are valued at approximately $540.
* Gina Marie Loy, 28, 415 Barberton Road, Marietta, was arrested on a warrant for theft, a misdemeanor. Loy was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Metts of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 4 at 12:28 a.m.
* Patrick Wayne Barger, 51, 922 Front St., Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Barger turned himself in at the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 5 at 6:02 a.m.
* Darren Craig Farnese, 21, 613 Eighth St., Marietta, was arrested for parole violation, a felony. Farnese was arrested at the Adult Parole Authority by Deputy Gerber of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 5 at 8:45 a.m.
* Peter Grant Hafner, 26, 101 Gilman Ave., Marietta, for parole violation, a felony. Hafner was arrested at the Adult Parole Authority by Deputy Gerber of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 5 at 3:35 p.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Department released the following reports on April 7:
* On April 4, Sgt. McGilton received a complaint advising Shelby Scott, 28, 221 Sheldon Ave., Marietta, had two dogs that were running loose. Witnesses reported this was not the first time they have been running loose. Contact was attempted at the residence with negative results. McGilton has posted notices for Scott in the past, and she still has not made contact. A summons through Marietta Municipal Court will be issued for failing to restrain her dog.
* On April 6, deputies responded with the Reno Volunteer Fire Department Squad to a Marietta Township residence to a report of a deceased male subject. There does not appear to be any foul play; case closed.
* On April 6, McGilton was dispatched to 403 Keeler Drive, Marietta, to the home of Lisa D. Ashcraft. The report was that her dogs were loose and had attacked another dog in the neighborhood. McGilton met with Ashcraft who stated she owns three dogs, which were running loose at this time, further stating that they get loose because they dig out from under the fence. Ashcraft stated they were all registered with the Washington County Auditor’s Office; however, she could not provide the tags. Contact was made with the Auditor’s Office, finding that she had not registered the dogs for 2016. Ashcraft was issued a summons for failing to restrain her dogs. Ashcraft was advised that she had until April 13 to avoid a citation for failure to register.
* On April 6, deputies along with the Caldwell and Belle Valley Fire Departments were dispatched to 20495 Ohio 821, Dexter City, to a house fire at the John E. Harriman residence. The family was able to get the children out of the home as well as most of their puppies. The family also attempted to distinguish the fire before the fire departments arrived. The fire was extinguished by fire personnel. No foul play is suspected
* On April 7, Deputy Thorpe responded to Belpre Township to a report of a possible domestic incident. Through investigation it was determined the report was unfounded. Case closed.
* On April 7, Deputy McPeek responded to Muskingum Township to a report of a possible domestic incident. Through investigation it was determined the report was unfounded. Case closed.
* On April 7, Carmalea A. Pettit, 39, 223 Greene St., Marietta, reported a window to her residence was broken. This case remains under investigation.
* James Paul Rush, 32, Marietta, was arrested for theft and criminal trespassing, both misdemeanors. Rush was arrested at Wal-Mart by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 6 at 6:53 p.m.
* Charles Raymond Miller, 20, 910 Caywood Road, Marietta, was arrested on warrants for theft and two counts of probation violation, all misdemeanors. Miller was arrested on Caywood Road by Deputy Huffer of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 6 at 10 p.m.

* On April 3, Deputy Huffer responded to Lawrence Township in reference to an alleged domestic incident. Investigation showed this incident to be unfounded. Case closed.
* On April 3, deputies responded to 4028 Blue Knob Road, Fleming, to meet with Paula Hendrickson who had a storage unit forcibly entered at that location. Numerous items were removed from the building. This case remains under investigation.
* On April 4, deputies and the Beverly Waterford Volunteer Fire Department Squad responded to assist a subject with medical issues. This case is closed.
* A warrant was issued for Courtney A. Harpster, 2910 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, failure to appear, original charge driving under suspension.
* A warrant was issued for Jamie L. Norville, 412 Elm St., Belpre, failure to appear, original charge Belpre city ordinance driving under suspension.
* Colton Lee Wade, 30, 740 Tomlinson Ave., Glendale, W.Va., was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Wade was arrested in New Matamoras by Patrolman Blamble of the New Matamoras Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 4 at 10:29 a.m.
* Wesley Lee Casto, 23, 695 Silver Globe Road, Marietta, was arrested for a probation violation, a misdemeanor. Casto was arrested at the Marietta City Probation Department by Probation Officer E. Brockmeier and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 4 at 11 a.m.
* Thomas Sidney Ballard, 59, 1681 Churchill Downs Road, Newark, was arrested on a warrant for unauthorized use of motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Ballard was picked up at the Muskingum County Jail by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 4 at 7:17 p.m.
* Jeffrey Edward Jones, 52, 620 Eighth St., Marietta, was arrested for theft, two counts, both misdemeanors. Jones was arrested at the Wal-Mart by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 4 at 7:44 p.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on April 1.
* On March 31, Deputy Carr responded to 765 Danas Run Road, Newport, for an assault. Patricia Jo Berg, 28, 515 Silver Globe Road, Marietta, stated she was permitted at the Danas Run Road residence after Joshua Beaver and Jessica Dawn Beaver, 33, arrived at the home. At one point Jessica Beaver became upset about not being able to gain entry into the home, and threatened to harm Berg. Jessica Beaver broke an exterior kitchen window when she was not able to gain entry through the front door. Berg and Jessica Beaver engaged in an altercation when Beaver attempted to punch Berg. Berg was able to keep from being struck, where Beaver then threw her onto the couch. The property owner refused to file charges on the damage to the residence; however, a summons will be issued for Jessica Beaver for assault.
* A warrant was issued for Timothy Cowan, 492 Beach Drive, Belpre, for failure to file an application for registration of a dog.
* A warrant was issued for Michael P. Hollingsworth, 600 Phillips St., Belpre, for hypodermic possession.
* A warrant was issued for Chauncey W. Edmonds, 1105 13th St., Parkersburg, for failure to appear for jail, original charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
* Kennett Puryear Thompson, 28, 1353 Woodnell Ave., Columbus, was arrested for trafficking in Mahoning County. Thompson was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Kirby of the Belpre City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on March 31 at 7:39 pm.
* Christopher Brian Parker, 31, 316 Gilman Ave., Marietta, was arrested for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Parker was arrested on Harmar Street by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on March 31 at 8:10 pm.
* Brian David Long, 45, Marietta, was arrested for theft, misdemeanor. Long was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on March 31 at 10:14 pm.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on March 31:
* On March 29, Lt. Hornbeck and Deputy Thorpe were dispatched to meet with Billy Morrison, 65, 120 Ward St., Marietta. Morrison said he was invited to 2915 Bender Road, Marietta, earlier this evening. While at the residence, Matthew Scott Johnson, 37, 800 Fourth St., Marietta, was involved in an argument with Yvonne Marie Duskey, 31, 311 Maple St., Marietta, in which he eventually struck Duskey several times. Morrison attempted to separate the two, when Johnson then struck Morrison in the head. Upon Morrison going to his vehicle Johnson kicked the driver’s side door which slammed against Morrison’s leg. Johnson also ripped the rear view mirror out of the truck causing the windshield to crack. Morrison’s eye glasses were also damaged in the scuffle. Deputies then responded to 800 Fourth St., Marietta, to speak with Duskey and Johnson; however, neither would come to the door. Officers could see both Duskey and Johnson inside on the sofa, and observed blood on the ground outside. Due to injuries to Duskey, and possibly Johnson, officers entered the home to check on the welfare of both subjects. After speaking with all individuals involved, Johnson was placed under arrest for domestic violence, criminal damaging and assault, and was transported to the Washington County Jail.
* On March 30, Deputy Metts responded to 28407 Ohio 7 to Green Hunter Water. Upon arrival it was reported items were missing from two of the trucks, to include tools, CD radios and GPS.
* On March 30, Sgt. McGilton requested a summons for failure to register 10 dogs for Cheryl and Gregory Dennison, 2180 County Road Nine, Reno. In January, the Dennisons attempted to purchase a kennel license for their 10 dogs; however, they were advised by the Washington County Auditor’s Office that they did not qualify for a kennel license. The Dennisons did not register their 10 dogs individually in 2016. Sgt. McGilton continued to try to make contact since January. * Cody Alan Stockner, 20, 421 Victoria Ave., Williamstown, was arrested for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Stockner was arrested at Marietta Municipal Court by Probation Officer P. Brockmeier of the Marietta City Probation Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on March 30 at 1:06 p.m.
* Ashley Michelle Neader, 26, 233 Hillcrest Drive, Marietta, was arrested for driving under suspension and probation violation. Neader was arrested at Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Richards of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on March 30 at 3:39 p.m.
* Jenna Danielle Radabaugh, 26, 101 Washington St., Marietta, was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and on warrants for drug paraphernalia and theft, all misdemeanors. Radabaugh was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Kramer of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on March 30 at 4:45 p.m. Deputy Schwendeman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office also served warrants of possession of drug instruments and contempt of court, both misdemeanors, on Radabaugh at the Washington County Jail.
* Kevin Glenn Lawrence, 54, 2106 Miller Ave., Belpre, was arrested for domestic violence, a felony. Lawrence was arrested by Patrolman Kirby of the Belpre City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on March 30 at 11:45 p.m.
* Scott Lee Carpenter, 53, 415 Third St., Marietta, for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and assault, both felonies, failure to reinstate operator’s license, fictitious plates and marked lanes, all misdemeanors. Carpenter was arrested on Third Street by Patrolman Venham of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on March 31at 12:30 a.m.
* Michael Charles Leonard, 32, 2501 Harrison St., Pittsburgh, for trafficking in drugs, a felony, operating with an expired operator’s license and failure to signal, both misdemeanors. Leonard was arrested at the Locker Room by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on March 31 at 2:43 a.m.
