The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Thursday and Friday:

* David William Hart, 35, 2236 State Route 83 N, Beverly, for criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor. Hart was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman Perine of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 24 at 12:36 p.m.

* Steven Edward King, 50, 6200 Willow Oak Lane, Orlando, Fla., for theft, a felony. King was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Moyers and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 24 at 3:59 p.m.

* Dustin Howard Schaad, 20, 806 Front St., Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Schaad was arrested at the office of Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 24 at 5:54 p.m.

* Jonathan Craig Fitzwater, 21, 6 Reed Circle, Rising Sun, Md., for criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct by intoxication and for two counts of criminal damaging, all misdemeanors. Fitzwater was arrested at Marietta College by Officer Hardesty of the Marietta College Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 25 at 2:32 a.m.

* Matthew Vernon Scott, 29, 221 Sheldon Ave., Marietta, for burglary and for two counts of theft of firearms, all felonies. Scott was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 25 at 6:43 a.m.

* Miranda Marie Casteel, 29, 8248 State Route 239, Stewart, for possession of drugs, a felony. Casteel was picked up at the Athens County line by Deputy Sheriff Gerber and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 23 at 2:58 p.m.

* Phillip Dale West Jr., 28, 836 Pike St., Apt. 17, Marietta, for theft, criminal trespassing and for abusing harmful intoxicants, all misdemeanors. West was arrested on Pike Street by Patrolman Kramer of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 23 at 4:04 p.m.

* Ginger Kaye Ratcliffe, 43, 206 Broughton Ave., Apt. 3, Marietta, for being a fugitive from justice, a felony. Ratcliffe was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Warden of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 23 3:57 p.m.

* Dwayne Scott Singer, 23, 2050 Roberts Road, Amesville, for two felony counts of receiving stolen property and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct by intoxication. Singer was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Holbert of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 23 at 8:25 p.m.

* Branden Dwight Ramage, 21, 206 Jennison St., Beverly, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Ramage was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Sams of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 23 at 9:23 p.m.

* Joshua Keith Ross, 35, 45 Hickory Lane Lot 2, New Matamoras, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Ross was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Blamble of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 23 at 10:05 p.m.

* Rebecca Michelle Hall, 40, 9150 State Route 550, Barlow, for being a fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor. Hall was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Johnson and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 23 at 10:24 p.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Sept. 25:

* On Sept. 23, Michael J. Hardie, 62, 19965 State Route 550, Marietta, reported he discovered two weed trimmers were stolen from a storage building on his property.

* On. Sept. 23, Frances M. Campbell, 71, 1199 Turkeyhen Road, Fleming, reported the driver of a vehicle drove through property she owns at 5812 Warren Chapel Road, Marietta. The vehicle damaged six fence posts and 60 feet of woven fencing. From items left at the scene, Deputy Sheriff Johnson identified a suspect. The suspect agreed to repair the damage. Campbell said she would not pursue charges if the damage was repaired.

* On Sept. 23, 23 Linda Daggett, 71, 180 Cross Road, Belpre, reported while she and her husband were at church someone pried open the door to their basement. At this time, no property appears to be missing.

* On Sept. 24, deputies responded to the scene of death of a 24-year-old Marietta Township resident. The woman’s death appears to be due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

* On Sept. 24, Sgt. McGilton requested a summons for Mikaela Schramm, 19, 218 Alta St., Marietta, for failing to confine/restrain a dog. Schramm and her mother have been warned to restrain their dog, but neighbors reported that afternoon that the Schramm’s dog was again running loose.

* On Sept. 24, Jamie L. Harris, 25, 365 Clark Road, Cutler, reported she was at a home on Roberts Road in Amesville to retrieve her child when one of the home’s residents charged at her. Harris, who fled in her vehicle, said the suspect chased her for a mile on an ATV and brandished a baseball bat.

* On Sept. 24, Deputy Sheriff McPeek arrested Matthew V. Scott, 29, 221 Sheldon Ave., Marietta, for burglary and for two counts of theft of firearms. Following an investigation, McPeek determined Scott with Michael V. Richards, 38, 221 Sheldon Ave., Marietta, entered a residence at 557 Salster Road, Fleming, and stole three rifles, two handguns and a shotgun. The two then allegedly took at least three of the guns and exchanged them for heroin in Columbus. McPeek requested felony warrants for Mr. Richards for burglary, two counts of theft of firearms and possession of a weapon while under disability. McPeek also requested a warrant for Richards for a misdemeanor charge of failure to comply with the order of an officer. When McPeek attempted to question Richards during a traffic stop earlier in the day, he fled in his vehicle into West Virginia.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Sept. 21.

* On Sept. 15, the owners of two campers at Davilin Lake, 7826 Ohio 339, Vincent, reported someone entered their campers. From the two campers, the suspect(s) stole pocket watches, a power washer, a pair of boots, a television, a mini fridge and a small space heater.

* On Sept. 18, an employee of children’s services reported they were transporting a 15-year-old to a foster home when he jumped out of the vehicle’s back window while they were stopped at a red light at the intersection of Main Street and Ohio 339 in Beverly. The Beverly Police Department located the teenager the following day and transported him to a foster home.

* On Sept. 18, Shane D. Wisenburg, 36, 5488 Veto Road, Vincent, reported three softball bats were stolen from his garage. Deputy Sheriff Johnson later determined that the suspect sold three bats matching the description of Wisenburg’s bats at a business in Parkersburg on Sept. 14.

* On Sept. 18, the Marietta Fire Department transported a 34-year-old Marietta resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to an overdose. The victim reportedly consumed a large amount of alcohol and ingested an unknown quantity of his prescription medication. The victim was last listed in stable condition.

* On Sept. 19, Deputy Sheriff Johnson issued a citation to Robert E. Carpenter, 41, 708 Front St., Apt. 17, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license. Deputy Johnson stopped Carpenter on Ohio 7 near Parr Hill Road in Grandview Township.

* On Sept. 19, Deputy Sheriff Allender requested a warrant for Scott E. West, 40, 21485 Ohio 550, Amesville, for domestic violence. West’s wife, Misty, 38, reported she and her husband were driving on Ohio 555 when they began arguing about his drinking. Mrs. West said around 1500 Ohio 555, her husband pushed her out of their moving vehicle. After Mrs. West fell out of the vehicle, it rolled over her leg. At Memorial Hospital’s Belpre campus, Mrs. West received treatment for a swollen left wrist, swollen right ankle, and minor abrasions. Mr. West has been convicted of domestic violence on two prior occasions, thus making this charge a felony.

* On Sept. 19, Bryan M. Burton, 33, 466 Calder Ridge Road, Belpre, reported sometime overnight someone stole the rear license plate, Ohio tag DUY5469, from his Ford truck.

* On Sept. 19, Beverly Wix, 22, 587 Morris Loop Road, Marietta, reported she was away from her residence between 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. the previous evening and during that period, someone stole a bottle of prescription medication from her vehicle.

* Deja Deshay Robinson, 20, 30870 Stone Ridge Drive, Apt. 730, Wixom, Mich., was arrested for possession of drugs, a felony. Robinson was arrested in Marietta by Lt. Hornbeck of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 18 at 1:20 p.m.

* Brandon Joshua Blevins, 26, 26 Haught St., Parkersburg, was arrested for forgery, a felony. Blevins was arrested in Beverly by Sgt. Holbert of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 19 at 10:29 p.m.

* Tracy Ann Erac, 48, 803 Warren Ave., Belpre, was arrested for domestic violence, a felony. Erac was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Heddleston of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 19 at 12:59 a.m.

* Howard Earl Crouch, 43, 101 Gilman Ave., Lot 2, Marietta, was arrested for being a fugitive from justice, a felony. Crouch was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Bonnette of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 19 at 6:48 p.m.

* Johnathan Michael Forney, 33, 957 Ironwood Road, Akron, was arrested for criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct by intoxication, domestic violence and possession of drugs, all misdemeanors. Forney was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 20 at 2:35 a.m.

* Amy Leigh Davis, 30, 26370 Rock Run Road, Coolville, was arrested for driving under a suspended license, for not using a child restraint and for possession of drug abuse instruments, all misdemeanors. Davis was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Holiday of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 20 at 12:17 p.m.

* Shannon Scott Hines, 27, 1220 Brackenridge Road, Vincent, was arrested for felony charges of breaking and entering and theft and misdemeanor charges of violating the terms of a protection order, theft and obstructing official business. Hines was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Kampmeier of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 20 at 1:36 p.m.

* Jimmy Lee Smith, 48, 16100 Ohio 821, Macksburg, was arrested for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Smith was arrested at the courthouse by Deputy Sheriff Moyers and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 21 at 8:56 a.m.

* Dustin Lee McKnight, 30, 9239 Ohio 60, Lowell, was arrested for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. McKnight was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 21 at 12:47 p.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Sept. 22.

* On Sept. 19, Charlene Huff, 70, 3347 Warren Chapel Road, Marietta, reported at some point during the night, someone entered two garages on her property. Huff believes a table saw and miscellaneous hand tools are missing from the garages.

* On Sept. 20, Kathleen Nedley, 64, 410 Main St., New Matamoras, reported she parked her 2007 Ford Focus at 1200 Park Ave. the previous evening and when she returned to retrieve it the following day, the vehicle was missing. The vehicle is gray, has a broken antenna and a cracked windshield.

* On Sept. 20, Michael Hudson, 27, 216 Saint Andrews Boulevard, Belpre, was airlifted to Grant Hospital in Columbus for treatment to a gunshot wound. Hudson was cleaning his .22 caliber rifle when he accidentally shot himself in the abdomen. Hudson’s current condition is unknown.

* On Sept. 20, Sgt. Holbert and the Little Muskingum Volunteer Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire near 15151 County Road 9. Philip S. Smitley, 64, 525 Kesselring Run Road, Newport, was driving his 1993 Nissan van on Archers Fork Road when he began having difficulty with his vehicle. Shortly thereafter, Smitley noticed flames emanating from under the vehicle. Smitley escaped without injury. The vehicle was a total loss.

* On Sept. 21, Deputy Sheriff Carr responded to the scene of death of an 83-year-old Fearing Township resident. The man’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

* Charles Edward Ward, 43, 163 Grant St., Elkview, W.Va., was arrested for contempt of a court order, a felony. Ward was picked up in West Virginia by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 21 at 1:41 p.m.

* Ronald David Sharpe, 44, 2023 17th St., Parkersburg, was arrested for possession of drug abuse instruments, a misdemeanor. Sharpe was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Warden of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 21 at 3:57 p.m.

* Brooklyn Irene Kimble, 18, Marietta, was arrested for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Kimble was arrested in Reno by Deputy Sheriff McKee and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 22 at 1:01 a.m.

* Madalyn Katherine Kinkade, 20, 3050 Warren Chapel Road, Fleming, was arrested for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Kimble was arrested in Reno by Deputy Sheriff McKee and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 22 at 1:17 a.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Sept. 23.

* On Sept. 21, Timothy Vincent, 1751 Roddy Road, Vincent, reported at some point while he was away during the day, someone entered his residence. Vincent said a television, jewelry, a commemorative bottle of Jack Daniels, a pellet gun and a trail camera were stolen.

* On Sept. 22, Deputy Sheriff McKee arrested Madalyn Kinkade, 20, 3050 Warren Chapel Road, Marietta, and Brooklyn Kimble, 18, 717 McGill Road, Vincent, for underage consumption of alcohol. Kimble was at a residence in Reno and reportedly made suicidal comments. When Deputy McKee responded to the scene, he found that Kimble and Kinkade were intoxicated. Both suspects admitted consuming Bacardi prior to their arrival at the residence. At the Washington County Jail, Kinkade tested .08 BAC and Kimble tested .075.

* On Sept. 22, Deputy Sheriff McConnell responded to the scene of death of a 60-year-old Dunham Township resident. The woman’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

* On Sept. 22, Dawn Murphy, 39, 560 North Lake Drive, Vincent, reported she was traveling northbound on Ohio 339 when an unmarked vehicle behind her activated flashing red and blue lights around 11:30 p.m. When Murphy pulled over on Righteous Ridge Road, the driver of the vehicle with the flashing lights sped away. Murphy said the car was dark in color and appeared to be an older law enforcement vehicle, possibly a Crown Victoria. This case remains under investigation.

* Nicholas James Patterson, 33, 2201 Murray St., Belpre, was arrested for a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation and a misdemeanor charge of driving under an FRA suspended license. Patterson was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Gerber and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept 22 at 11:47 a.m.

* Raycene Kay Mullet, 34, 26790 Township Road 180, Fresno, Ohio, was arrested for possession of drugs, a felony. Mullet was arrested at the courthouse by Deputy Sheriff Sheaves and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 22 at 12:16 p.m.

* Keith Allen Nibert, 53, 210 1/2 Fourth St., Beverly, was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Nibert was arrested on Second Street by Patrolman Hilverding of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 23 at 1:34 a.m.

* Darrell Kier Applewhite Sr., 44, 2554 Martin Luther King Drive, Cleveland, was arrested for a felony charge of trespassing and a misdemeanor charge of aggravated menacing. Applewhite was arrested near milepost sixteen on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 23 at 6:55 a.m.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports Sept. 18:

* On Sept. 17, a deputy arrested Corrie A. Herman, 25, 201 Westwood Way, Washington, W.Va., on a felony charge of possession of heroin. The deputy responded to a disturbance involving Herman at 3569 Veto Road, Vincent. While arresting Herman on active warrants, deputies observed a silver container on the suspect’s keychain. Inside the metal container was discovered what Herman confirmed was 0.41 grams of heroin. Deputies also found spoons and a digital scale with drug residue inside Herman’s vehicle.

* On Sept. 18, a resident on Morris Loop Road in Marietta reported an unknown male was going door to door soliciting newspaper subscriptions. A deputy contacted the newspaper and they informed him that they did not have anyone selling subscriptions. The complainant did not suffer any monetary loss. This case remains under investigation.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Thursday and Friday:

* Nickolas Brady Matthews, 31, 80 Peggy Lane, New Martinsville, for possession of drugs, a felony. Matthews was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 17.

* Quintin Avery William Ramirez, 24, 185 State Route 555, Little Hocking, for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, parking in the roadway and failure to appear, all misdemeanors. Ramirez was arrested at his residence by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 17.

* Thomas Robert Voisinet, 34, 485 Muskingum River Road, Marietta, for felonious assault. Voisinet turned himself in to corrections officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 17.

* Cynthia Kay Myers, 41, 405 1/2 Franklin St., Marietta, for felony charges of possession of drugs and receiving stolen property and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drugs. Myers was arrested on Front Street by the Marietta Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 17.

* Zakary Levi Byers, 24, 405 1/2 Franklin St., Marietta, for felony charges of possession of drugs and receiving stolen property and misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs and operating a vehicle with fictitious plates. Byers was arrested on Front Street by the Marietta Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 17.

* Corrie Adam Herman, 25, 201 Westwood Way, Washington, W.Va., for a felony charge of possession of drugs and misdemeanor charges of driving under an OVI suspended license and driving left of center. Herman was arrested at his residence by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 17.

* Kimberly Bell Rood, 33, 920 Morgan Ave., Belpre, for making false alarms, a misdemeanor. Rood was arrested at her residence by the Belpre Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 17.

* David Gene Flowers, 59, 922 Greenhill Road, Marietta, for being a fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor. Flowers turned himself in to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 17.

* Rhonda Deann Clark, 39, 1685 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, for possession of drug paraphernalia and for abusing harmful intoxicants, both misdemeanors. Clark was arrested in Marietta by the Marietta Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 17.

* Gregory Rahim McLaughlin, 20, 23231 Kenosha St., Oak Park, Mich., for possession of drugs, a felony. McLaughlin was arrested in Marietta by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 17.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA – Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports and charges on Sept. 17.

* On Sept. 16, Deputy Sheriff Carr and the Grandview and Newport fire departments responded to a fire at the home of Sherri Merckle, 52, at 805 State Route 260, New Matamoras. Merckle said she departed her home at 7:30 that morning and when she returned half an hour later, her home was engulfed in flames. Fire department personnel were unable to identify the cause of the fire, but they could not find any evidence that it was suspicious or criminal in nature. The home was a total loss.

* On Sept. 16, Travis Westfall, 39, 64 Cornerville Road, Marietta, reported there was a brush fire at 415 Young Road, Marietta. The location is a vehicle holding area for Westfall’s business, Marietta Motors. Westfall said one of his employees possibly flicked a cigarette into a dry, grassy area and started the fire. Three vehicles were damaged by the fire and are a total loss. The Newport Fire Department responded and extinguished the blaze.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Wednesday and Thursday:

* Roger Dee Salser, 55, 4311 Germantown Road, Lower Salem, for inducing panic, a felony. Salser was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Rebecca Leeann Colvin, 20, 875 Dodd Run Road, Marietta, for theft, a misdemeanor. Colvin was arrested at Kroger by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Brian Michael Pritchett, 19, Marietta, for theft, a misdemeanor. Pritchett was arrested at Kroger by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Katie Annette Graham, 32, 121 Gilman Ave., Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Graham was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Gragan of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* William Edward Bennett, 43, 1200 11th Ave., Vienna, for theft and for criminal trespassing, both misdemeanors. Bennett was arrested at Wal-Mart by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Mary Cathrine Schisler, 57, 715 Barclay St. Lot 44, Belpre, for criminal mischief and for disorderly conduct by intoxication, both misdemeanors. Schisler was arrested on Main Street by Patrolman Nichols of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA – Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports and charges on Sept. 16.

* On Sept. 15, Deputy Sheriff Huffer responded to the scene of death of a 63-year-old New Matamoras resident. The man’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

* On Sept. 15, an employee of Elliott Electric, 673 Blue Sky Parkway, Lexington, Ky., reported three rolls of copper wire and two rolls of steel wire were stolen from a storage container on their job site at 6687 State Route 555, Cutler. The total value of the stolen wire is approximately $400.

* On Sept. 15, Stephen D. Conley, 52, 106 Devol Drive, Marietta, reported his brother, Edward, 50, arrived home intoxicated and began “tripping out.” Unprovoked, Edward grabbed his brother by the shirt, threw him to the floor, kicked him and spit on him. Stephen said he’s been involved in altercations with his brother before and is tired of being assaulted. Edward denied striking his brother and instead blamed him because he allegedly had been drinking malt liquor all day. Based on his investigation, Sgt. Holbert arrested Edward for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Tuesday and Wednesday:

* Dustin Ray Riley, 30, 833 Second St., Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Riley was arrested at the courthouse by Deputy Sheriff Gerber and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Branden Eugene Miller, 39, 3451 Buford Court, Columbus, for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor. Miller was arrested on Hillcrest Drive by Patrolman Bonnette of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Lester Jeffery, 42, 153 W. Pennsylvania Ave., New Stanton, Pa., for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Jeffery was arrested on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Mary Cathrine Schisler, 57, 715 Barclay St. Lot 44, Belpre, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Schisler was arrested in Belpre by the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Jonathan Ross McAllister, 28, 140 Washington Square, Williamstown, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. McAllister was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Edward Ray Conley, 50, 106 Devol Drive, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Conley was arrested at his residence by Lt. Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Sept. 4.

* On Sept. 3, Deputy Sheriff McKee issued a citation to Maxine C. Erb, 74, 81 Greene St., Newport, for driving under an operating a vehicle while intoxicated suspended license. Deputy McKee stopped Erb on Ohio 7 near Greene Street in Newport Township.

* On Sept. 3, Lt. Stackpole and the Devola Volunteer Fire Department responded to a boat fire in the area of 100 Ferncliff Drive, Marietta. An individual was test driving a speed boat belonging to Scott Elliott, 63, 1988 Masonic Park Road, Marietta. The driver of the boat said he when he placed the boat in reverse after it was launched into the Muskingum River, flames shot out of the engine. The driver escaped from the boat without injury. The boat was a total loss.

* On Sept. 3, Trey Moats, 23, 133 Ohio Boulevard, Marietta, reported he purchased a truck from another individual in March and the seller has yet to provide him with the vehicle’s title. This case remains under investigation.

* On Sept. 3, Ashley McPherson, 31, 1690 Neff Ridge Road, Marietta, reported $1,500 and a diamond ring were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked outside her employers office at 1400 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, on Sept. 1. This case remains under investigation.

* Michael James Farnsworth, 26, 300 Ridgewood Drive, Apt. D, Marietta, was arrested for violating the terms of her probation, a felony. Farnsworth was arrested at the courthouse by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 3 at 12:27 p.m.

* William Joseph Mitchell, 30, 884 Greenhill Road, Marietta, was arrested for rape, a felony. Mitchell was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Gerber and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 3 at 12:29 p.m.

* Edward Rodger Graham, 36, 121 Gilman Ave., Marietta, was arrested for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor. Graham was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Smith of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 3 at 4:06 p.m.

* Amy Suzzanne Books, 29, 736 Greene St., Marietta, was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Books was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Smith of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 3 at 4:26 p.m.

* Seth Thomas Adams, 30, 7909 Dalzell Road, Lower Salem, was arrested for two counts of domestic violence and two counts of child endangering, all misdemeanors. Adams was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McKee and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 3 at 5:58 p.m.

* William Weaver, 42, 827 Nettles Lane, Coushatta, La., was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Weaver was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 3 at 8:16 p.m.

* John William Miracle, 53, 1620 Muskingum River Road, Marietta, was arrested for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Miracle was arrested at the office of Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 4 at 9:24 a.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Sept. 3.

* On Sept. 2, Sgt. Mankins arrested Franklin F. Farnsworth, 51, 2334 Ohio 339, Marietta, for domestic violence. Farnsworth’s wife, Stephanie, 47, stated when she approached her husband to ask him what he wanted for dinner, he grabbed her and shoved her against a wall. Mrs. Farnsworth said she believed her husband became angry when she got near his remote control because he has become upset when she has taken the device in the past. Mrs. Farnsworth was visibly upset and stated her husband’s actions caused her to fear for her safety.

* On Sept. 2, Jasmine Spence, 32, 190 Welch Road, Belpre, reported while she and her husband were away from the day, someone entered her home. Spence said the suspect(s) emptied her drawers and stole several pieces of jewelry, two of her husband’s handguns, a laptop computer, power tools, a toolbox and two compound bows. The total value of the stolen property is over $4,000.

* Norman Dean Dunn, 53, 85 Dunn Lane, New Matamoras, was arrested for engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and two counts of trafficking in drugs, all felonies. Dunn was arrested at the courthouse by Deputy Sheriff Gerber and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 2 at 12:52 p.m.

* Thomas Michael Emerick, 46, 229 Sheldon Ave., was arrested for two misdemeanor counts of receiving stolen property. Emerick was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Hanson of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 2 at 2:49 p.m.

* Christy Lynn Collins, 32, 1483 Dutton Hill Road, Macksburg, was arrested for theft, driving under a suspended license and operating a vehicle with fictitious plates, all misdemeanors. Collins was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 2 at 3:28 p.m.

* Moniqua Lynn Davis, 28, 43 Pleasant Ave., Apt. A, Dayton, was arrested for possession of drugs and failure to reinstate her operator’s license, both misdemeanors. Davis was picked up in Montgomery County and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 2 at 4:10 p.m.

* Kimberly Darlene Bonnett, 43, 1360 Silver Globe Road, Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Bonnett was arrested on Pike Street by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 2 at 8:30 p.m.

* Franklin Freeman Farnsworth, 51, 2334 Ohio 339, Belpre, was arrested for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 2 at 8:54 p.m.

* Branden Ross Barnes, 20, 210 Bell Cemetery Road, New Matamoras, was arrested for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Barnes was arrested in New Matamoras by Patrolman Blamble of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 2 at 10:33 p.m.

* William Lewis Campbell, 27, 541 Main St., Malta, was arrested for a felony charge of conspiracy to commit forgery, for a misdemeanor charge of violating the terms of his probation and three misdemeanor counts of theft. Campbell was arrested by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 3 at 12:53 a.m.

* Tyrone Deshawn Powell Jr., 19, 627 Brixham Road, Columbus, was arrested for driving under an FRA suspended license and for failure to signal, both misdemeanors. Powell was arrested on Seventh Street by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 3 at 4:16 a.m.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports and charges on Sept. 1.

* On Aug. 28, Sherry L. Reynolds, 48, 234 Dixon Hollow Road, Beverly, reported her husband, Kevin, 45, assaulted her. Ms. Reynolds said she argued with her husband throughout the night over their marital issues. Then, as Ms. Reynolds was packing her belongings to leave the home, her husband slapped her in the mouth. Mr. Reynolds also grabbed his wife forcefully and left bruises on her left arm. Based on his investigation, Sgt. Mankins requested a warrant for Mr. Reynolds for domestic violence.

* On Aug. 29, a 36-year-old Beverly resident reported she has not seen or heard from her 14-year-old daughter since she dropped her off at school at 7:45 the previous morning. The teenager’s whereabouts are unknown. This case remains under investigation.

* On Aug. 29, another Beverly parent reported his 14-year-old daughter was missing as well. The teenager’s father said he has not seen his daughter since she fled out the back door of his home with a male companion around 1 a.m. The teenagers know each other but at this time it does not appear they are together. This case remains under investigation.

* On Aug. 30, the L-A Emergency Squad transported Ricky A. Schultheis, 49, 222 Third St., Lowell, to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment. Schultheis was on a ladder trimming a tree at 101 Franklin St., Lowell, when a branch struck the ladder. Schultheis fell approximately 20 feet and suffered a knee injury.

* On Aug. 30, Brian Barnhart, 51, 100 Winters Drive, Marietta, reported he recently discovered a Smith and Wesson .38 handgun was missing from his home.

* On Aug. 30, Amanda Mayle, 31, 13295 Ohio 555, Cutler, reported she was on vacation for the past 12 days and during that time someone entered her home. Mayle said the suspect(s) stole a large television, a Playstation and 10 games, two shotguns, miscellaneous gold and diamond jewelry and tools. The total value of the stolen property is in excess of $3,500.

* On Aug. 31, Sgt. Holbert requested a warrant for Adam C. Abbott, 25, 2165 Congress Road, Belpre, for domestic violence. The mother of Abbott’s children, Ashley McCray, 27, 115 Chateau Hills, Parkersburg, reported in the early morning hours of Aug. 30, that Abbott assaulted her. The two were arguing in the backseat of a vehicle when Abbott punched her in the face and ribs and threatened to kill her. McCray said Abbott’s actions caused her to fear for her safety, in part because he has assaulted her in the past.

* On Aug. 31, Deputy Sheriff Huffer and the Barlow Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at the home of Adam Baker, 23, at 427 Warrior Drive, Vincent. Baker left the vehicle unattended for half an hour after removing various parts from the engine compartment. Baker was removing the parts in order to sell the car for scrap. It appears that exposed wires ignited the fire. No foul play is suspected.

* Keely Rene Jaeger, 28, 1790 Caywood Road, Marietta, was arrested for obstruction of justice, a felony. Jaeger was arrested at her residence by Detective Smeeks of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 31 at 4:18 p.m.

* Seth Joseph Mastrodomenico, 30, 227 Greene St., Marietta, was arrested for aggravated menacing, a misdemeanor. Mastrodomenico was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Kampmeier of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 31 at 9:54 p.m.

* Diane Nicole Miracle, 27, 906 Neal St., Parkersburg, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug abuse instruments, both misdemeanors. Miracle was arrested on Fourth Street by Patrolman Tewanger of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Aug. 31 at 11:28 p.m.

* Austin Charles Wallace, 28, 53349 Clover Ridge Road, Beallsville, was arrested for felonious assault, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and three counts of kidnapping, all felonies. Wallace was picked up at the Belmont County Jail by Detective Parks of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 1 at 12:56 a.m.

* Angel Maria Granger, 43, 2342 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, was arrested for theft and for being a fugitive from justice, both felonies. Granger was arrested on State Route 550 by Sgt. Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 1 at 12:50 p.m.

* Adam Corey Abbott, 25, 2165 Congress Road, Belpre, was arrested for domestic violence and for violating the terms of his probation, both felonies. Abbott was arrested in Belpre by Sgt. Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 1 at 1:32 p.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Sept. 2.

* Gregory Allen Engle, 31, 800 N. Maple Ave., Fairborn, Ohio, was arrested for nonsupport of dependents, a misdemeanor. Engle was picked up in Greene County by Deputy Sheriff Doak and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 1 at 3:17 p.m.

* Nathan Matthew Williams, 21, 107 Manchester Drive, Marietta, was arrested for felonious assault, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and three counts of kidnapping, all felonies. Williams turned himself in to corrections officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 1 at 5:46 p.m.

* Randall Wayne Delancey, 51, 200 Pennock Drive, Lot 12, Beverly, was arrested for telephone harassment and for violating the terms of his probation, both misdemeanors. Delancey was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Sams of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 1 at 10:07 p.m.

* Jeremy Michael Phipps, 36, 1022 Caywood Road, Marietta, was arrested for a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation and misdemeanor charges of OVI and driving under an FRA suspended license. Phipps was arrested on Second Street by Patrolman Kampmeier of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 2 at 12:47 a.m.
