MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports and charges on Dec. 29.

* On Dec. 23, Christine Suprano, 45, 107 Devol Drive, Apt. A, Marietta, reported her son stole over 50 of her prescription pills. Suprano declined to pursue charges in the matter.

* On Dec. 23, Brian T. Welch, 45, 34540 Carl Snyder Lane, Lower Salem, reported he recently discovered a charger for an electric fence was stolen from his property at 2755 McGrath Road, Macksburg. Welch said a woman who leases the property had two antique saddles stolen from the property. After he noticed the fence charger was missing, an acquaintance informed him a similar charger was listed for sale on the website Craigslist. Welch arranged to purchase the charger and believes it was the one stolen from his property. The seller listed two saddles for sale as well, but they were already sold. This case remains under investigation.

* On Dec. 24, Deputy Sheriff Reeder arrested Michael G. Underwood, 42, 540 Rummer Road, Marietta, for obstructing official business and for two counts of domestic violence. Underwood was highly intoxicated after consuming approximately a case of beer and began arguing with his wife, Chloe, 42. During the argument, Underwood grabbed his wife by the neck and began choking her. When Underwood’s daughter, Amber, 18, attempted to intervene, he tried to choke her with the scarf she was wearing. He also punched her in the left eye. Placed under arrest, Underwood struggled with deputies until he was subdued with a Taser. At the Washington County Jail, Underwood tested .198 blood alcohol content.

* On Dec. 24, Joseph Smith, 28, 170 Bowersock Road, Reno, reported sometime overnight someone stole a 42 inch television, a socket set, a generator and a log splitter from locations inside and outside his home.

* On Dec. 26, an employee of Dollar General, 27055 Ohio 7, Marietta, reported a customer departed the store without paying for two DVDs she placed in her purse. The employee said the suspect, Kimberly Bonnette, 42, 1360 Silver Globe Road, Marietta, also attempted to pay for a cart full of merchandise with a check on an account that was closed in 2012. Deputies located Bonnette at CVS in Marietta, from where she shoplifted additional items. Bonnette admitted stealing items from Dollar General and directed deputies to the property, which was valued at approximately $120. Deputy McKee arrested Bonnette for theft and transported her to the Washington County Jail. She was charged with theft from CVS by the Marietta City Police Department.

* On Dec. 27, an employee of Par Mar 33, 3355 Ohio 821, Marietta, reported a quick change artist scammed her out of $50. The employee said the transaction took place quickly and she was not sure what transpired.

* On Dec. 27, Jennifer M. Queen, 36, 1870 Christy Road, Marietta, reported her live-in boyfriend, Ryan Patterson, 38, assaulted her. Allegedly upset over the lack of quality groceries in the home, Patterson initiated an argument and poked Queen in the head and chest several times. Queen said when she attempted to leave the home Patterson struck her in the face. Deputy Sheriff Augenstein arrested Patterson for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

* On Dec. 27, Deputy Sheriff Johnson requested a summons for a 14-year-old Newport resident to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly. The juvenile’s parents reported that during the past year they have discovered that their daughter has been smoking marijuana, snorting pills, drinking alcohol and stealing medication. The teenager also sneaks out of the house, takes the family car and is meeting an unknown male to allegedly engage in sexual activities with the hope of getting pregnant.

* On Dec. 28, Deputy Sheriff Carr responded to the scene of death of a 68-year-old Waterford Township resident. The woman’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

* Michael Glen Underwood, 42, 540 Rummer Road, Marietta, was arrested for obstructing official business and for two counts of domestic violence, all misdemeanors. Underwood was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Huffer and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 24 at 9:05 p.m.

* Jason Lee Scarbrough, 29, 102 Lancaster St., Marietta, was arrested for a felony charge of domestic violence and misdemeanor charges of unlawful restraint and obstructing official business. Scarbrough was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Harlow of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 25 at 12:45 a.m.

* Sharala Sue Beckman, 32, 1255 Leith Run Road, New Matamoras, was arrested for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Beckman was arrested in New Matamoras by Patrolman Blamble of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 25 at 7:59 p.m.

* Gary Lynn Morgan, 71, 23249 Shortline Highway, Jacksonburg, W.Va., was arrested for being a fugitive from justice, a felony. Morgan was arrested in New Matamoras by Patrolman Blamble of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 25 at 10:18 p.m.

* Kimberly Darlene Bonnette, 42, 1360 Silver Globe Road, Marietta, was arrested for two misdemeanor counts of theft. Bonnette was arrested on Third Street by Deputy Sheriff McKee and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 26 at 8:07 p.m.

* Corey Thomas Sapp Jr., 24, 63 Pike St., Mineral Wells, was arrested for improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, a felony. Sapp turned himself in to corrections officers and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 27 at 2:23 a.m.

* Ryan Fredrick Patterson, 38, 1870 Christy Road, Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Patterson was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Metts and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 27 at 8:21 p.m.

* William Brian Lucas, 41, 200 Pennock Road Lot 4, Beverly, was arrested for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Lucas was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Oliver of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 27 at 8:56 p.m.

* Brandi Sue Griswold, 18, 15 1/2 Highland Ave., Parkersburg, was arrested for violating the terms of her probation, a felony. Griswold was arrested on Acme Street by Patrolman Hanson of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 25 at 12:45 a.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports and charges on Dec. 24:

* On Dec. 23, Deputy Sheriff Augenstein issued a citation to Mark E. Macaulay, 33, 816 Quarry St., Marietta, for driving under a suspended license. Augenstein stopped Macaulay on Putnam Street near the intersection of Fourth Street in Marietta.

* On Dec. 23, Deputy Sheriff McGilton responded to a report of a dog bite at 230 Faye Ave., Marietta. Four days earlier, McGilton investigated a dog bite involving the same dog. During the current instance, the dog’s owner, Astin Oliver, 31, was attempting to show the previous victim’s younger sister how friendly her pit bull was. When Oliver’s boyfriend released the dog from its cage, the animal lunged at the 9-year-old victim and latched onto her right leg. The victim required seven internal and several external sutures to close her wound. McGilton filed court papers to designate the animal as a dangerous dog but the court process had yet to be completed. McGilton confiscated the dog and scheduled it to be euthanized.

* On Dec. 24, David D. Noland, 31, 23715 Ohio 339, Beverly, reported when he returned to his residence that morning after being away overnight, he discovered panes of glass on his front door were broken. Upon inventorying his belongings, Noland said a 32-inch television, a laptop computer and two duffel bags were missing. Noland also said $50 was missing from the console of his truck.

* Katherine Rose Handley, 21, 14025 Lakota Ave., Cleveland, was arrested for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Handley was arrested on Pike Street by Lt. Rhodes of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 23 at 10:34 p.m.

* George Grivas, 26, 436 Martin Ave., Cleveland, was arrested for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Grivas was arrested on Pike Street by Deputy Sheriff Augenstein and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 23 at 11:03 p.m.

* Kelly Jean Hendershot, 39, 204 Jennison St., Beverly, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and for obstructing official business, both misdemeanors. Hendershot was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman by Patrolman Perine of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 24 at 3:24 a.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports and charges on Dec. 23.

* On Dec. 19, the owner of the residence at 23525 County Road 9, New Matamoras, reported the former tenant who lived at the home left trash and other items strewn about the home when she vacated the residence. Another tenant, Jessica Borscht, 23, 807 Grandview Ave., New Matamoras, said she formerly lived at the residence with the alleged suspect and that the suspect removed some of her belongings when she moved. Deputy Sheriff Underwood informed the home’s owner he had no legal recourse against the former tenant for leaving a mess at the residence. But, he said Borscht could pursue charges for her stolen property. This case remains under investigation.

* On Dec. 22, an employee of Guernsey Scrap and Recycling, 28087 Ohio 7, Marietta, reported sometime over the weekend someone stole what he believed would have been two truckloads full of scrap copper-aluminum and copper radiators. The total value of the stolen radiators is approximately $1,500.

* Tumarcus Anthony Steele, 22, 1321 Orchard Park Drive, Columbus, was arrested for failure to appear, a felony. Steele was picked up in West Virginia by Deputy Sheriff Doak and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 22 at 3:18 p.m.

* Shannon Nichole Bensie, 30, 2269 Wayne St., Marietta, was arrested for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor. Bensie was picked up in Jefferson County, Ohio, by Deputy Sheriff Doak and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 22 at 3:33 p.m.

* Zachary Allen Myers, 25, 815 Quarry St., Marietta, was arrested for assault, a misdemeanor. Myers was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Bonnette of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 22 at 4:18 p.m.

* Dustin Lee McKnight, 29, 9239 Ohio 60, Lowell, was arrested for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs. McKnight was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 22 at 5:11 p.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports and charges on Dec. 22.

* On Dec. 19, Steven A. Fryman, 23, 29800 Ohio 7, Marietta, reported he found what appears to be an old military munition under his front porch. The shell is approximately 12-inches long, three inches in diameter and was corroded but still in decent condition. A deputy recovered the item and placed it in a safe place pending its destruction.

* On Dec. 19, Deputy Sheriff Huffer requested summonses for Delmar Wittekind II, 44, and his son, Chace, 20, both of 1485 Hanna Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by fighting. An altercation between the two broke out after the elder Wittekind confronted his son about bringing drugs and alcohol into their home. Each party successfully landed punches to the other’s face before the two separated.

* On Dec. 19, Natasha A. Hart, 37, 1405 County Road 9, Marietta, reported she was giving Holly A. Gail, 40, 105 Shady Lane, Marietta, a ride home from a bar when the two began to argue. Hart said she hardly knows Gail and stopped her car near Family Ford because she began to feel uncomfortable. After Hart stopped the vehicle, Gail exited, opened the driver’s side door from the outside and began yelling and screaming at Hart. Gail then punched Hart and fled from the scene when she heard sirens. Deputy Sheriff Huffer located Gail on Products Lane and arrested her for assault. At the Washington County Jail, Gail tested .266 BAC.

* On Dec. 19, Jonathan D. Francis, 18, 110 Dean St., Marietta, was attempting to pull into a driveway on Warrior Drive in Barlow Township when he struck a gas meter. The incident caused minimal damage to Francis’ Toyota truck. Dominion Gas responded and repaired the gas meter.

* On Dec. 20, Deputy Sheriff Hunter and the Beverly Volunteer Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire at the residence of Norman J. Howard, 56, at 1785 Hayesville Road, Waterford. After smelling smoke coming from a bedroom, Howard attempted to fight the fire with an extinguisher and a garden hose until the fire department arrived. The fire appears to have originated in a joint where the two sides of the mobile home were joined. The fire caused approximately $4,000 in damage.

* On Dec. 21, William D. Richards, 64, reported sometime overnight someone cut the lock off a cargo trailer he has parked in front of a house he is constructing at 501 Ash Road, Marietta. Richards said the only property that is missing are two ratchet straps and plastic hose, valued at $60.

* On Dec. 21, deputies and detectives responded to the scene of death of a 54-year-old Fairfield Township resident. Though the cause of the man’s death does not appear to be suspicious, he was sent to Montgomery County for an autopsy.

* On Dec. 22, Lt. Rhodes issued a citation to Aaron W. Cain, 33, 16687 Crooked Tree Road, Dexter City, for driving under a suspended license and for operating a vehicle with an expired registration on Muskingum Drive near the intersection of Colegate Drive in Pioneer Township.

* Ryan Andrew Davis, 32, 106 1/2 Sacra Via, Marietta, was arrested for a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation and a misdemeanor charge of voyeurism. Davis was arrested at Marietta College by Officer Racz of the Marietta College Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 19 at 3:53 p.m.

* Joey Dean Brooks, 26, 316 1/2 Harmar St., Marietta, was arrested for felony charges of breaking and entering and tampering with a coin-operated machine and a misdemeanor charge of theft. Brooks was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 19 at 4:15 p.m.

* Shawn Rodney Gayheart, 26, 427 Moose Drive, Kilbuck, Ohio, was arrested for being a fugitive from justice, a felony. Gayheart was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 19 at 5:03 p.m.

* Holly Ann Gail, 40, 105 Shady Lane, Marietta, was arrested for assault, a misdemeanor. Gail was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Huffer and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 19 at 10:08 p.m.

* Michael James Farnsworth, 25, 103 W. Montgomery St., Marietta, was arrested for disorderly conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Dennison of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 20 at 2:58 a.m.

* Shad Allan Martin, 37, 1359 Elizabeth Pike, Mineral Wells, was arrested for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Martin was arrested near the intersection of Pike and Acme streets by Deputy Sheriff Call and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 20 at 9:36 a.m.

* Harold F. Thompson Jr., 46, 300 Starlite Drive Lot 26, Marietta, was arrested for disorderly conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor. Thompson was arrested in Reno by Lt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 20 at 12:30 p.m.

* Carl Allen Thompson, 43, 17360 Ohio 7, Lot 17, Marietta, was arrested for disorderly conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor. Thompson was arrested in Marietta by Lt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 20 at 1:07 p.m.

* Karen Nicole Statkiewicz, 33, 243 Lake Road, Belpre, was arrested for operarting a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to control, both misdemeanors. Statkiewicz was arrested on Ohio 550 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 20 at 9:20 p.m.

* Kevin Cole Siegfried, 34, 807 Gilman Ave., Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence, a felony. Siegfried was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 21 at 1:59 p.m.

* Paul Wesley Boling, 36, 319 McGill Road, Vincent, was arrested for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Boling was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 21 at 2:29 p.m.

* Jeremy John Jones, 34, 42 Muskie Way, Elizabeth, was arrested for theft, a misdemeanor. Jones was arrested at Wal-Mart by Patrolman Dennison of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 21 at 9:25 p.m.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports Dec. 19:

* On Dec. 18, William A. Abbott, 42, 2165 Congress Road, Belpre, reported at some point during the past two weeks an unknown suspect stole his Cobra .380 handgun from the trunk of his vehicle. This case remains under investigation.

* On Dec. 19, a deputy requested a summons for Astin A. Oliver, 31, 230 Faye Ave., Marietta, for failure to confine/restrain a dog. While Oliver’s dog was running loose, it attacked a 10-year-old and bit the child on the arm. The laceration the child suffered required five stitches to close it.

* A deputy is attempting to locate the owner of two lawn mowers that were reported abandoned along Lindamood Road near State Route 821 in Aurelius Township on Sept. 15. One mower is a Troy-Bilt push mower and the other is a Craftsman riding mower, model number DYT4000. Anyone with information regarding these mowers in requested to contact 740-376-7070 ext. 6915.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Thursday and Friday:

* Amber Leann Bowling, 24, P.O. Box 2, Regina, Ky, for operating a vehicle without a license and for failure to register, both misdemeanors. Bowling was arrested near milepost nine on Interstate 77 by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 18.

* Amanda Jo Sampe, 34, 213 Fourth St., Apt. A, Lowell, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Sampe was arrested in Lowell by the Lowell Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 18.

* Coty Scott Harris, 23, 303 Woodlawn, Cambridge, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Harris was arrested in Lowell by the Lowell Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 18.

* Christopher Michael Hilton, 27, 213 Fourth St., Apt. A, Lowell, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Hilton was arrested in Lowell by the Lowell Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 18.

* Michael Eric Hoffert, 32, 421 Phillips St., Apt. 14, Marietta, for a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation and a misdemeanor charge of theft. Hoffert was arrested in Marietta by the Marietta Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 18.

* Felicia Dawn Wallace, 24, 300 Alderman St., Lot 8, Marietta, for a felony charge of violating the terms of her probation and a misdemeanor charge of theft. Wallace was arrested at K-Mart by the Marietta Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 18.

* Regina Lynn Hoover, 50, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Hoover was arrested near the intersection of Second and Washington streets by the Marietta Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 18.

* Julie Anne Reynolds, 52, 231 E. Faye Ave., Marietta, for failure to appear and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors. Reynolds was arrested near the intersection of Second and Washington streets by the Marietta Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 18.

* Dakota Wayne Gary, 19, 20 Charles St., Newport, for gross sexual imposition, a felony. Gary was arrested at his residence by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 19.

* Donald Eugene Bartimus Jr., 34, 2342 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, for operating a vehicle with fictitious plates, driving under a suspended license, possession of drugs, for not using a child restraint, theft and three counts of failure to appear, all misdemeanors. Bartimus was arrested on Washington Boulevard by the Belpre Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 19.

* Katherine Louise Bartimus, 33, 2342 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, for possession of drugs, theft and three counts of failure to appear, all misdemeanors. Bartimus was arrested on Washington Boulevard by the Belpre Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 19.

* Brandon Robert Claypool, 27, 2417 Lake Washington Road, Washington, W.Va., for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Claypool was arrested at the probation office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 19.

* Mark Anthony Hart, 23, 434 Douglas Ave., Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Hart was arrested at the probation office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 19.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Dec. 18.

* On Dec. 17, Deputy Sheriff Augenstein arrested Cindy J. Harris, 48, 343 Main St., Lower Salem, for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and for driving under an OVI – suspended license. Patrolling after dispatch received reports of an intoxicated driver, Augenstein located the suspect’s vehicle and conducted a traffic stop near milepost four on Germantown Road. In speaking to Harris, Deputy Augenstein noticed she had an odor of alcohol and bloodshot eyes. Harris, whose license was suspended due to a previous OVI, admitted she consumed six beers that evening. She subsequently performed poorly on field sobriety tests. At the Washington County Jail she was unable to provide a breath sample.

* On Dec. 18, an Adams Township trustee reported he was walking on Buell Island the previous day when he found trash dumped near the Lowell dam. Among the trash were a car door, a stroller, a garden hose reel and two bags of kitchen and household trash. This case remains under investigation.

* Cindy Joy Harris, 48, 343 Main St., Lower Salem, was arrested for OVI and for driving under an OVI – suspended license, both misdemeanors. Harris was arrested on Germantown Road by Deputy Sheriff Augenstein and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 17 at 10:54 p.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following information on Dec. 17.

* On Dec. 16, a 29-year-old Marietta resident reported she received several unwanted text messages from the father of her children. A court order dictates that the two only are permitted to communicate via text message and that the sole subject they may discuss is their children. In his recent text messages, the father of the victim’s children made comments about her husband. Deputy Sheriff Hunter informed the victim that because she replied to the text messages she violated the court order as well.

* On Dec. 16, Teresa Porterfield, 44, 1385 Sheets Run Road, Newport, reported when she arrived home from the store that evening her live-in boyfriend, Aaron W. Schneider, 34, initiated an argument. During the argument, Schneider punched the glass of the microwave and slapped Porterfield in the face. To avoid further abuse, Porterfield began walking toward a door. As she passed Schneider, he struck her in the back of her legs with a broom handle. Thereafter, Porterfield was able to flee from the home. Schneider admitted he was involved in an argument with his girlfriend but denied striking her in any way. Based on his investigation, Deputy Sheriff Hunter arrested Schneider for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

* Joan Elizabeth Harris, 50, 612 Second St., Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Harris was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 16 at 1:29 p.m.

* Bradley Douglas Worstell, 19, 29725 Ohio 7, Marietta, was arrested for pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, a felony. Worstell was arrested at his residence by Lt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 16 at 4:21 p.m.

* Anthony Trent Hill, 25, 1154 Patten Mills Road, Bartlett, was arrested for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Hill was arrested at the office of Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 16 at 4:31 p.m.

* Talon Daniel Feucht, 20, 843 Greene St., Marietta, was arrested for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Feucht was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 16 at 4:55 p.m.

Austin Michael Sanderson, 19, 100 Snodgrass Lane, Williamstown, was arrested for theft, a felony. Sanderson was arrested at Wal-Mart by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 16 at 7 p.m.

* William Theodore Winter, 39, 619 Central Ave., Williamstown, was arrested for abusing harmful intoxicants and theft, both misdemeanors. Winter was arrested at Big Lots residence by Patrolman McClelland of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 16 at 10:18 p.m.

* Aaron Wesley Schneider, 34, 1365 Sheets Run Road, Newport, was arrested for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Schneider was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Hunter and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 16 at 11:53 p.m.

* Dustin Allen Carpenter, 22, 105 Gilman Ave., Lot 2, Marietta, was arrested for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Carpenter was arrested in Common Pleas Court by Deputy Sheriff Gerber and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 17 at 9:18 a.m.

* Kenneth Ray McIntire Jr., 48, 300 Starlite Drive Lot 8, Marietta, was arrested for criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor. McIntire was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 17 at noon.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following cases on Dec. 15:

* On Dec. 12, the Little Hocking Fire Department transported an 82-two-year-old Belpre resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital’s Belpre campus for treatment following a suicide attempt. The victim ingested an unknown amount of her prescription medication. She is expected to recover fully.

* On Dec. 13, Michael M. Romick, 59, 22250 County Road 9, New Matamoras, reported someone in the last three months entered his home and stole five shotguns, a muzzle loader and a tool bag containing a drill, a saw, drill bits, batteries and a battery charger. The estimated value of the stolen items is $1,000.

* On Dec. 13, the house sitter for Megan S. Morris, 32, 60 Hickory St., Lower Salem, reported someone claiming to be a relative of hers stole his mobile phone and $500 belonging to Morris while he briefly visited the residence that evening.

* On Dec. 14, Deputy Sheriff Augenstein responded to a domestic dispute at 1045 Sandhill Road Lot 7, Marietta. Shelley D. Sparks, 30, said she was angry that the father of her child returned the child to her with a dirty diaper instead of changing it himself. An argument followed, during which Sparks shoved her child’s father. He shoved her in retaliation and Sparks fell to the floor. Sparks stated she was not injured and did not fear for her safety during the incident. As a result, Augenstein closed this case as unfounded.

* On Dec . 14, Deputy Sheriff Metts arrested Nicholas T. McKeown, 18, 815 Warrior Drive, Vincent, for domestic violence. McKeown’s 14-year-old sister fled their home due to fears that McKeown would assault her. For unknown reasons, McKeown began berating and verbally assaulting his sister when she began speaking about her boyfriend. McKeown’s sister retreated to a bedroom and closed a door, at which point McKeown kicked open the door. Thereafter, the victim fled from the home and sought help from neighbors.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Dec. 12 and Dec. 15:

* Seth Eugene Harris, 22, 3000 Barnett Ridge Road, Fleming, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Harris was arrested in Common Pleas Court by Deputy Sheriff Sheaves and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 12 at 2:34 p.m.

* Chavazze Levi Kidder, 20, 148 Oak Drive, Little Hocking, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Kidder was arrested in Little Hocking by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 12 at 2:45 p.m.

* Larry Gale Thompson Jr., 32, 231 E. Faye Ave., Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation and for receiving stolen property, both misdemeanors. Thompson was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Kramer of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 12.

* Robert Lee Lohr, 23, 712 Fourth St., New Matamoras, for illegal cultivation and manufacturing of drugs and for illegal assembly of drug making chemicals, both felonies. Lohr was arrested in New Matamoras by Patrolman Moyers of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 12 at 9:06 p.m.

* Amanda Carlene Edgar, 27, 27400 State Route 7 Lot 80, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Edgar was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 13 at 5:33 p.m.

* Brian Keith Edgar, 28, 27400 State Route 7, Lot 80, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Edgar was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 13 at 6:21 p.m.

* Nicholas Tyler McKeown, 18, 815 Warrior Drive, Vincent, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. McKeown was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Metts and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 14 at 9:03 p.m.

MARIETTA- The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Dec. 12:

* On Dec. 11, deputies responded to the scene of death of a 55-year-old Reno resident. The woman’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

* On Dec. 11, a deputy requested summonses for Rebecca A. Barton, 39, and Jenna R. Thornton, 35, both of 46730 State Route 7, New Matamoras, for disorderly conduct by fighting. Barton stated she had been arguing about monetary issues throughout the morning before they began to fight. She accused Thornton of grabbing her hair and slamming her head into a kitchen cabinet, which caused her head to split open and bleed on the floor. Thornton said Barton attempted to assault her and that Barton hit her head when she shoved her away in self defense.

* On Dec. 12, a deputy requested a summons for a 17-year-old New Matamoras resident to appear in juvenile court on a charge of delinquency by disorderly conduct. The deputy also requested a summons for Jacob C. Hattle, 18, 33777 Bethel Ridge Road, New Matamoras, for disorderly conduct by fighting and assault. The two students were involved in a fight at Frontier High School earlier in the day. Hattle left school grounds after the fight but returned a short while later and punched the 17-year-old, who was seated in a chair in the principal’s office.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Thursday and Friday:

* Matthew Allen Walker, 34, Marietta, for receiving stolen property, possession of criminal tools, two counts of possession of drugs and six counts of breaking and entering, all felonies. Walker was arrested on North Park Street by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 11.

* James Justin Lowers, 35, 20 Charles St., Newport, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Lowers was arrested at the Washington County Probation Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 11.

* Orville Lee Lewis Selvey, 53, 180 Sells Road, Lancaster, Ohio, for failure to appear, a felony. Selvey was picked up in Fairfield County by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 11.

* Albert Carl Miner IV, 29, 2549 Bear Run Road, Reno, for being a fugitive from justice, a felony. Miner was arrested at his residence by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 11.

* Brandon Paul Hayes, 24, 101 Gilman Ave., Lot 1, Marietta, for three misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Hayes turned himself in to corrections officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 12.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Dec. 11.

* On Dec. 9, Lt. Norman, Sgt. Reeder and Deputy Sheriff Metts responded to a domestic altercation at 8431 Dalzell Road, Lower Salem. Garry L. Clark Jr., 21, had reportedly been drinking all day and became enraged when his mother poured out his alcoholic beverage. Clark charged toward his mother, at which time his teenage brother stepped in front of him and restrained him. After his brother released him, Clark grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened family members. When Clark’s stepfather attempted to restrain him, he twisted his stepfather’s arm and attempted to stab him in the neck. Clark’s stepfather was later able to break the blade off the knife and threw it across the room. Reeder arrested Clark for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail. At the jail, Clark tested .094 BAC.

* On Dec. 9, Natasha L. Craig, 20, 1045 Sandhill Road, Lot 24, Marietta, reported her live-in boyfriend, Joseph Nestor, 22, assaulted her. An argument between the two escalated into a minor scuffle. During the fracas, Nestor struck Craig in the stomach with an open hand, causing her to fear for her safety. Deputy Sheriff McKee arrested Nestor for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

* On Dec. 10, the residents at 104, 105 and 106 Westchester Drive, Marietta, reported padlocks were cut off the doors of storage buildings on their properties. Initially, the residents said no property was missing but Lee Arnold, 53, 104 Westchester, later determined a chainsaw was missing from his building.

* On Dec. 10, Makayla Wright, 257 Minch Road, Lowell, reported her boyfriend’s father inadvertently struck her in the face as she attempted to stop a shoving match between him and her boyfriend. Wright was not injured and did not want to pursue charges.

* On Dec. 10, Tina L. Bohl, 46, 12410 Ohio 60, Lowell, reported she believes an employee of a carpet cleaning service stole an iPad while he was inside her home that afternoon.

* On Dec. 10, Deputy Sheriff Hunter arrested Jonathan J. Hall, 27, 802 1/2 Front St., Apt. B, Marietta, for inducing panic. Earlier in the evening, Hall phoned dispatch and informed them that he was involved in a traffic crash on Ohio 676 near Klinger Road and that there was a fatality involved. The Sheriff’s Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Beverly-Waterford Emergency Squad and the Watertown Fire Department responded but were unable to locate anything resembling a crash scene. Questioned further by dispatchers, Hall continued to assert that he was involved in a crash. Deputies later determined that Hall fabricated the entire story. Under further questioning, Hall admitted making up the story and said he did it for no apparent reason.

* On Dec. 11, an employee of Peoples Bank, 20 Sandhill Road, Marietta, reported a customer kicked and damaged the glass on the bank’s front door. Deputy Sheriff Call spoke to the suspect, who said he kicked the door because he was frustrated that the bank was not open yet. The suspect contacted the bank and arranged to pay for the damage to the door. The bank did not wish to pursue charges.

* Marta Kaye Henrie, 56, 95 Sandhill Road, Marietta, was arrested for direct contempt, a misdemeanor. Henrie was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 10 at 1:03 p.m.

* Jonathan James Hall, 27, 802 1/2 Front St., Apt. B, Marietta, was arrested for inducing panic, a misdemeanor. Hall was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Hunter and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 11 at 12:51 a.m.

* Joseph Steven Nester, 22, 1045 Sandhill Road, Lot 24, Marietta, for domestic violence and failure to appear, both misdemeanors. Nester was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McKee and processed into the Washington County Jail Dec. 9 at 12:47 p.m.

* Brittany Maria Martin, 29, 100 Linwood Ave., Marietta, for contempt of a court order and breach of recognizance, both misdemeanors. Martin was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 9 at 4:23 p.m.

* Garry Lee Clark Jr., 21, 8431 Dalzell Road, Lower Salem, for domestic violence and for violating the terms of his probation, both misdemeanors. Clark was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Reeder of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 9 at 7:39 p.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports and charges on Dec. 9.

* On Dec. 7, Chad Hall, 31, 865 Cornerville Road, Marietta, reported he was involved in a dispute with his ex-girlfriend, Angela D. King, 31, 1502 Stone Quarry Road, Fleming. King was at Hall’s residence to pick up her children for visitation when an argument erupted over the kids being around King’s new boyfriend. A brief scuffle occurred, during which King struck Hall in the face. Deputy Sheriff Hunter arrested King for domestic violence and transported her to the Washington County Jail.

* On Dec. 8, Deputy Sheriff McKee and the Devola, Fearing and Salem fire departments responded to a motor home fire at 1390 Kohl Road, Whipple. The motor home, which is owned by Christopher Shilling, 36, caught fire between 9:15 a.m. and 9:40 a.m. The cause of the fire is unknown but does not appear to be suspicious in nature. The motor home was a total loss.

* On Dec. 8, Deputy Sheriff Carr requested summonses for 17-year-old Belpre and Parkersburg residents to appear in juvenile court for being delinquent. A teacher at the Washington County Career Center noticed an odor of marijuana on the students and alerted the school’s director. A search of the Belpre resident’s car yielded a marijuana roach and cigarettes that the Parkersburg resident admitted belonged to him. He also admitted that he smoked marijuana as he rode to school that morning. Also in the vehicle was a cooler containing three cans of beer. The Belpre resident said the beer was leftover from a party several weeks ago where he was a designated driver.

* On Dec. 8, Deputy Sheriff Carr requested a summons for a 13-year-old Vincent resident to appear in juvenile court for being delinquent. Residents and employees at businesses near the juvenile’s home reported finding holes in their windows that were apparently from being shot with a pellet gun. The juvenile later admitted he rummaged through a garbage bag of donated items at the nearby food pantry and found the pellet gun on Dec. 5. The teenager said he was bored so he began shooting the gun. The juvenile also admitted damaging a vacant residence’s garage door with a golf club in September.

* On Dec. 9, Deputy Sheriff McKee requested a warrant for Edward R. Nyswaner, 36, 18 Lane St., Bentleyville, Pa., for telecommunications harassment. Despite being ordered a day earlier to stop contacting his ex-wife, Nyswaner continued to call her and send her obscene messages.

* Angela Marie Dearth, 34, 502 King Ave., Cutler, charged with obstructing official business, a misdemeanor. Dearth was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Augenstein and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 8 at 7:11 p.m.

* Scott Lee Carpenter, 52, 415 1/2 Third St., Marietta, charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 8 at 8:57 p.m.

* Chad Douglas Walker, 40, 2301 Rockland Ave., Belpre, charged with driving under an FRA suspended license and for operating a vehicle with an inoperable headlight, both misdemeanors. Walker was arrested on Farson Street by Patrolman Tewanger of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 9 at 1:33 a.m.

MARIETTA – The following reports and charges were released by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday:

* On Nov. 29, Deputy Sheriff McPeek issued a citation to Todd A. Toth, 47, 1025 Rocky Road, Johnstown, Pa., for traveling 58 mph in a 45 mph zone on State Route 339 near Veto Road in Dunham Township.

* On Nov. 29, Deputy Sheriff McPeek issued a citation to Markel M. Anderson, 20, 1421 Lancaster St., Apt. 105A, Marietta, for traveling 55 mph in a 45 mph zone on State Route 339 near Veto Road in Dunham Township.

* On Nov. 29, Deputy Sheriff McPeek issued a citation to William Battrell, 52, 48225 Battrell Road, Albany, Ohio, for traveling 57 mph in a 45 mph zone on State Route 339 near Veto Road in Dunham Township.

* On Dec. 3, a passerby reported finding a syringe as he walked along State Route 7 near Leith Run Road in Grandview Township. Deputy Sheriff Augenstein collected the empty and capped syringe and marked it for destruction.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Wednesday and Thursday:

* Dennis Charles Crockett, 37, 108 Third St. Apt. A, Belpre, for failure to appear, a felony. Crockett was picked up at the Saint Marys Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Sheaves and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Michael Von Richards, 37, 1365 McGill Road, Vincent, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Richards was arrested in Common Pleas Court by Deputy Sheriff Doak and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* James Tyler Morgan, 21, 820 Highland Ave., Williamstown, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Morgan was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Dec. 5:

* On Dec. 4. Lt. Norman arrested a 19-year-old Marietta resident for burglary and a 17-year-old Toledo resident for delinquency by burglary. A neighbor reported seeing the teenager and the other suspect, later identified as Kyle C. Morrison, 19, Marietta, carrying items out of the residence of Sheila Weber, 45, 385 Greenbrier Circle, Marietta. The neighbor obtained photographs of the suspects’ vehicle and subsequently followed the vehicle on his own while relaying his position to deputies. Deputies and detectives later located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Anderson Road near State Route 550. Under questioning, the juvenile admitted the laptop recovered from the vehicle was the one he stole from the residence. Other evidence recovered from the residence linked Morrison to the burglary as well. The driver of the vehicle in which Morrison and the teenager were passengers may also face charges. Deputies will be submitting a grand jury brief to the prosecutor’s office to determine if he was complicit in the burglary.

* On Dec. 5, a 66-year-old Macksburg resident reported she recently discovered 15 pills were missing from her 16-year-old grandson’s bottle of prescription medication.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Dec. 4-5:

* Kyle Casey Morrison, 19, Marietta, for burglary and for violating the terms of his probation, both felonies. Morrison was arrested on Anderson Road by Lt. Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 4 at 1:20 pm.

* Danielle Alexander Baxter, 25, 707 George St., Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Baxter was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Kirby of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 4 at 2:51 pm.

* Sean Michael Adkins, 26, 715 Barclay Street Lot 32, Belpre, for three misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Adkins was arrested on Main Street by Patrolman Tewanger of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 5 at 12:07 a.m.

* Rodrick Domion Pettis, 26, 210 Harmar St., Marietta, for a felony charge of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of violating the terms of his probation. Pettis was arrested on Second Street by Patrolman Pinkerton of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 5 at 1:13 a.m.

* Zackary Lyn Jenkins, 23, 3420 Furrow Court, Canal Winchester, Ohio, for two felony counts of possession of drugs. Jenkins was arrested on Second Street by Patrolman Pinkerton of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 5 at 1:25 a.m.

* Kaitlin Nicole Pryor, 20, 113 Elm Tree Drive, Parkersburg, for two felony counts of possession of drugs. Pryor was arrested on Second Street by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 5 at 1:38 a.m.

* Marty Lewan Bass, 45, 1619 Vendome Drive, Columbus, for consuming alcohol in a vehicle, a misdemeanor. Bass was arrested on Second Street by Patrolman Pinkerton of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 5 at 2:05 a.m.

* Michelle Rae Oldfield, 47, 2740 State Route 7 Lot 50, Marietta, for two felony counts of possession of drugs. Oldfield was arrested on Second Street by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 5 at 2:16 a.m.

* Emily Jo Welch, 39, 833 Second St., Marietta, for possession of drugs, a felony. Welch was arrested on Second Street by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 5 at 2:55 a.m.

* Crystal Elaine Mitchell, 44, 2240 16th St., Parkersburg, for OVI and for driving under a suspended license, both misdemeanors. Mitchell was arrested near milepost twenty-seven on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 5 at 3:38 a.m.

* Alton Artie Carter Jr., 26, 1747 Big Rock Road, Beaver, Ohio, for OVI and failure to control, both misdemeanors. Carter was arrested near milepost 2 on State Route 821 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on Dec. 5 at 5:19 a.m.

There are 80 men and 24 women being housed in the Washington County Jail.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following report on Dec. 3:

* On Dec. 2, Richard James Lamonica Jr., 30, 2395 Sheets Run Drive, New Matamoras, reported he was hunting on his property in the early afternoon when he was approached by an unknown male who was carrying a tree stand. An argument between Lamonica and the suspect transpired after Lamonica informed the subject he was not permitted to hunt on the land. During the argument, the suspect drew a pistol and pointed it at Lamonica’s head. Lamonica said the suspect became distracted by the sound of a breaking twig, at which time he pointed his shotgun at the suspect and ordered him to drop the gun and leave his property. The suspect complied, at which point Lamonica retrieved the handgun, cleared the weapon and threw it farther into the woods. The suspect then departed the area. Deputy Sheriff Huffer and Department of Natural Resources Officer Bear searched the area and were unable to locate the suspect’s handgun.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Dec. 1:

* On Nov. 22, a deputy requested warrants for Jason Lauderman, 26, 210 Cedar Street, Marietta, for assault, unauthorized use of a vehicle and two counts of automobile theft. Lauderman was at a party with his girlfriend, Mikayla Haskell, 20, 153 Dickens Drive, Apt. 25, Mineral Wells, at a residence on Luke Chute Road when he took Haskell’s keys and entered her vehicle. Haskell attempted to remove the keys from the ignition because Lauderman had been drinking, at which point Lauderman shoved her to the ground. Lauderman then reversed the vehicle and ran over Haskell’s right foot. He abandoned the vehicle on railroad tracks on Sparling Road. Lauderman also allegedly stole a truck from Globe Metallurgical and crashed it on Sparling Road approximately three-quarters of a mile from where he abandoned Haskell’s vehicle. Thereafter, Lauderman attempted to steal another truck from the property of Clinton Denton, 66, at 785 Swift Road, Waterford. Lauderman was able to enter and start Denton’s truck but was not able to drive it from the scene after he ran over a large log and got caught up on it. In addition to cuts and scrapes, Haskell suffered a laceration to her foot that required several stitches to close.

* On Nov. 25, an employee of C&C Dodge, 1305 Pike St., Marietta, reported sometime overnight three suspects entered a fenced area at the business and stole a set of four tires and rims. The estimated value of the stolen items is $2,500. The case remains under investigation.

The following suspect was processed into the Washington County Jail between Nov. 25-26:

* Michael Von Richards, 37, 1365 McGill Road, Vincent, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Richards was arrested in Washington County Common Pleas Court by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Nov. 25.
