MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports and charges on May 28:

* On May 23, two teenagers reported they were at the Veto Lake boat ramp when an unknown male wearing a badge and handcuffs questioned them and searched their belongings and vehicle without their consent, then drove away. Deputy Sheriff McPeek phoned the suspect, who claimed he was a bail bondsman in search of a suspect in the area. The phone call was disconnected and subsequent attempts to contact the suspect were unsuccessful. This case remains under investigation.

* On May 23, Tim A. Tornes, 49, 1160 Hadley Hollow Road, Marietta, reported during the past day a 55-inch television and a Playstation 4 were stolen from his home.

* On May 24, Billie L. Moss, 57, 1998 Clark Road, Cutler, reported he believes his iPhone 4 was stolen while he dined at the Silver Moon Diner in Barlow the previous day.

* On May 24, Deputy Sheriff Huffer responded to the scene of death of a 73-year-old Belpre resident. The man’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

* On May 24, Deputy Sheriff Call issued a citation to Robert J. Buck, 22, 370 County House Lane, Marietta, for driving under an FRA suspended license on Warren Chapel Road near Ohio 676 in Warren Township.

* On May 24, Sgt. Anderson issued a citation to Michael Hollingsworth, 34, 716 Calder Ridge Road, Belpre, for operating a vehicle with expired license plates on Ohio 7 near Braun Road in Belpre Township.

* On May 24, a family member reported two brothers were involved in an altercation at 15905 Ohio 550, Fleming. Justin B. Davis, 31, was reportedly angry that his twin brother, Jeremy, looked at his girlfriend and attacked him without provocation. Justin, who was highly intoxicated, struck his brother in the face, tackled him to the ground and continued to punch him, officials said. Justin accused his brother of being the aggressor, but his statement on the evening’s events were not consistent with witness statements. Sgt. Anderson arrested Justin for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

* On May 25, the Little Hocking Volunteer Fire Department transported Joey D. Perry, 34, 1161 Farson St., Belpre, to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to injuries suffered in an ATV accident. Perry was driving the ATV up a steep embankment at 371 Tadpole Run Road, Belpre, when he struck a vine, causing the ATV’s front end to rise in the air. The ATV rolled backward and landed on Perry’s face. Perry suffered a possible concussion, a chipped tooth and could have fractured a bone in his cheek.

* On May 25, Deputy Sheriff Hunter arrested Henry C. Lori, 52, 128 Dawes Circle, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication and possession of drugs. Lori appeared intoxicated when Hunter located him at Byer’s Exxon and he admitted consuming a large amount of alcohol throughout the early morning hours. Lori was unable to find a ride to his home and was arrested for his safety. Upon arrival at the jail, Hunter discovered three Xanax pills that Lori attempted to conceal in the backseat.

* On May 25, a Lower Salem resident reported she believed her 14-year-old son was given drugs at a home near his grandmother’s house in Warner. The teenager was speaking nonsensically, moving slowly and slurring his speech. Though he was reluctant to provide information, the juvenile admitted smoking marijuana and ingesting three Tramadol pills that he stole from a relative, officials said.

* On May 26, James W. Brooks, 56, 2588 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta, reported sometime overnight he believes an acquaintance broke windows on his model year 1972 camper.

* On May 26, Deputy Sheriff McKee issued a citation to Michelle R. Plummer, 43, 232 McGill Road, Vincent, for not wearing a seat belt. McKee stopped Plummer for not having a front license plate on Ohio 7 near milepost eight in Belpre Township.

* On May 26, Deputy Sheriff McKee issued a citation to Jonathan M. Null, 18, 1303 15th St., Parkersburg, for failing to stop at a stop sign when turning from the exit ramp of U.S. 50 to Ohio 339 in Belpre Township.

* On May 27, deputies and detectives responded to the scene of death of a 55-year-old Ludlow Township resident. The man’s death may be the result of a head wound he suffered while clearing brush on his property. Though no foul play is suspected, this case remains under investigation.

* On May 27, the Fearing Volunteer Fire Department transported a 27-year-old Whipple resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment for a suspected drug overdose. Toxicology reports were not yet complete but medical personnel said the victim’s unconsciousness may be cardiovascular related due to the thickness of his blood, which is unusual in overdose cases, officials said.

* On May 27, Jackie O. Wilson, 83, 1210 Braun Road, Belpre, reported he recently discovered a log splitter and four chrome rims from his property at 2352 Two Mile Run Road, Cutler.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Friday and Wednesday:

* Kenneth Ray Rogers, 26, 230 E. Faye Ave., Marietta, for domestic violence and for violating the terms of his probation, both misdemeanors. Rogers was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Florizel Weirick Woodford, 62, 11355 Ohio 26, Marietta, for driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor. Woodford was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Celena Dawn Herrington, 25, 705 Hall St., Apt. 4, Parkersburg, for theft and possession of drugs, both misdemeanors. Herrington was arrested on Ohio 7 by Lt. Stackpole of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Brandon Lee Gibbs, 21, 827 Ridge St., Marietta, for assault, a misdemeanor. Gibbs was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Hansen of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Tyler Samuel Kramer, 23, 1281 East Fork Road, Lower Salem, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Kramer was arrested on Third Street by Patrolman Harlow of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Anna Rosa Lopez, 29, 202 Aurora St., Marietta, for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a felony. Lopez was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Stacy Ann Mixer, 25, 2105 Miller Ave., Belpre, for theft and for violating the terms of her probation, both misdemeanors. Mixer was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Emily Brooke Knotts, 36, 205 Gibbons Place, Marietta, for failing to confine/restrain a dog, a misdemeanor. Knotts was arrested on Colegate Drive by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Justin Bryce Davis, 31, 1595 Ohio 550, Fleming, for domestic violence, a felony. Davis was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Anderson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Myranda Renee Wilson, 27, 537 Luke Chute Road, Waterford, for OVI, driving under a suspended license and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Wilson was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman Oliver of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Michael Richard Sobieski, 32, Marietta, for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Sobieski was arrested on Seventh Street by Patrolman Harlow of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Jeffrey Lewis Els, 32, 100 Willowbrook Drive, Apt. 66, Parkersburg, for a felony charge of .17 breath OVI and a misdemeanor charge of driving outside the marked lanes of travel. Els was arrested near the intersection of Front and Putnam streets by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Justin Bradley Cross, 38, 419 E. Marietta St., Woodsfield, for OVI and for following too closely, both misdemeanors. Cross was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Henry Clement Lori, 52, 128 Dawes Circle, Marietta, for possession of drugs, theft, breach of recognizance and for disorderly conduct by intoxication, all misdemeanors. Lori was arrested on Ohio 7 by Deputy Sheriff Hunter and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Phillip Zachariah Singer, 24, 40 Hanover Road, Cutler, for a felony charge of abduction and misdemeanor charges of domestic violence and violating the terms of his probation. Singer was arrested on Coffman Road by Deputy Sheriff Huffer and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Justin Allen Harris, 32, 565 Francis Road, Lowell, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Harris was arrested on Gilman Avenue by Patrolman Hupp of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Kyle Anthony Davis, 18, 1005 Third St., Marietta, for aggravated menacing, a misdemeanor. Davis was arrested on Third Street by Patrolman Bonnette of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Joshua Eugene Bumgarner, 26, 205 1/2 Locust St., Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Bumgarner was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Kirby of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Nathan Matthew Williams, 20, 107 Manchester Drive, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Williams was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Adrienne April Hall, 22, 106 Riley Drive Apt. 5, Marietta, for assault, a misdemeanor. Hall turned herself in to Patrolman Warden at the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Justin Louis Haddad, 22, 514 10 St., Parkersburg, for failure to periodically register as a sex offender, a felony. Haddad turned himself in at the courthouse and was processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Todd Jason Weekly, 38, 1363 Harris Highway, Parkersburg, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Weekly was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Kramer of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Kelcei Marie Masters, 20, 301 Woodview Circle, Williamstown, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Masters was arrested at the office of Probation Officer E. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail.

Correction

* It was previously reported by the sheriff’s office that the alleged abduction and domestic dispute involving Phillip Singer and Glenna Santee occurred at Hanover Road in Cutler. The incident occurred at Santee’s residence at 235 Johnson Road, Marietta, officials said.

Washington County Sheriff

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on May 14.

* On May 11, Lt. Gherke and Deputy Sheriff McPeek responded to a domestic dispute at 5922 State Route 555, Little Hocking. Michael E. Bennett, 50, was in a disagreement with his 29-year-old stepson over a pickup truck Bennett loaned him. During the incident, Bennett broke the driver side mirror while his stepson was seated inside and the stepson attempted to kick Bennett in the groin. Neither party wished to pursue charges against the other.

* On May 12, Jennifer L. Lyons, 33, 103 Chapel Ave., Marietta, reported she believes an acquaintance who visited her home for a brief period that evening stole approximately 60 of her husband’s Xanax pills.

* On May 12, Deputy Sheriff McGilton requested a summons for John H. Parsons, 62, 180 Main St., Vincent, for failing to confine-restrain a dog. Despite being warned last month, Parsons continued to allow his dog to roam. A neighbor subsequently reported that Parsons’ dog frequently urinated on her landscaping and it was killing her shrubbery.

* On May 13, Deputy Sheriff McKee arrested Danny Thomas, 34, 106 Buells Circle, Marietta, for disorderly conduct. That morning, Thomas began yelling obscenities at other family members in the home and reportedly made suicidal comments. Later located at a Laundromat in Reno, Thomas admitted making suicidal comments.

* On May 13, Tammy J. Beebe, 55, 17982 State Route 550, Marietta, reported she recently met a man online and he spent several nights with her. At one point, when she left her home for a short time, Beebe believes the man stole a large quantity of her Xanax and hydrocodone pills.

* Robert Randall Piggott, 43, 3740 Braun Road, Belpre, was arrested for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Piggott was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Deputy Sheriff Doak and processed into the Washington County Jail on May 13 at 10:49 a.m.

* Aaron Christopher Goins, 22, 1340 Patten Mills Road, Cutler, was arrested for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Goins was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McConnell and processed into the Washington County Jail on May 13 at 11:58 a.m.

* Matthew Allen Rooney, 35, 14350 State Route 555, Cutler, was arrested for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. He was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Willson and processed into the Washington County Jail on May 13 at 12:15 p.m.

* Jesse James Bell, 33, 4220 Welch Road, Little Hocking, was arrested for a felony charge of breaking and entering and misdemeanor charges of operating a vehicle with fictitious plates, obstructing official business, driving under a suspended license and failure to appear. Bell was picked up at the Athens County line by Lt. Rhodes of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Dedra Denice Allen, 43, 1665 Dutchman Road, Macfarlan, W.Va., was arrested for illegal processing of drug documents, a felony. Allen turned herself in to corrections officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on May 14 at 6:40 a.m.

Washington County Sheriff

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on May 7.

* On May 6, an employee of Pioneer Chevrolet, 1315 Pike St., Marietta, reported a customer issued a check for $52.05 to the business on April 14 and the check was later returned for having nonsufficient funds.

* On May 6, Melissa McFall, 31, 1308 Williamson Ave. Apt. 1D, New Matamoras, reported she was incarcerated between May 3 and May 5 and during that time she believes an acquaintance pried open a door to her home. Once inside the home, the suspect stole an Xbox, 10 games, a phone card, an old welder and a reciprocating saw.

* On May 6, Jeremy M. Allen, 22, 412 Wade Road, Taylorsville, Ga., reported he and two other individuals were soliciting donations for a battered women’s shelter at the County Corner Store at 2346 State Route 550, Cutler, when a customer accused them of “messing up his gas.” The suspect, who threatened to beat up the trio, left the gas station and returned a short while later with approximately seven other individuals. At that time, the main suspect again threatened to beat up the three victims and also commented that he would shoot them with a shotgun. One of the victims said the suspect did not brandish a weapon but he said he saw a shotgun in the suspect’s truck. The suspect spit on one of the victims and continued to threaten the three until they sought refuge inside a locked vehicle. Allen said the suspect twice attempted to break the driver side window with his fist and when he was unsuccessful he fled the scene. Lt. Stackpole and Deputy Sheriff Reeder patrolled the area in search for the suspect’s vehicle but were unable to find it. This case remains under investigation.

* On May 6, Deputy Sheriff Hunter responded to a domestic dispute at 100 High Ave., Waterford. Brad Bloomfield, 49, said his brother-in-law accused him of being a drain on the household and called him a freeloader. An argument followed but Bloomfield said at no time was there any physical contact or any threats made. All parties agreed to separate for the evening to avoid any further problems. As a result, Deputy Hunter closed this case as unfounded.

* Rocklin Keith Baker Jr., 32, 1384 Harsher Run Road, Pennsboro, was arrested for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Baker was arrested at the office of Probation Officer E. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on May 6 at 11:57 a.m.

* Nicole Renee McCutcheon, 36, 150 Barrett South Road, Vincent, was arrested for violating the terms of her probation and possession of drugs, both misdemeanors. McCutcheon was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on May 6 at 12:55 p.m.

* Jon Lee Barker Jr., 23, 126 Walker St., Marietta, was arrested for felony charges of domestic violence, breaking and entering and theft and misdemeanor charges of theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear. Barker was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Harlow of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on May 6 at 9:30 p.m.

* Brandon Lee Gibbs, 21, 827 Ridge St., Marietta, was arrested for criminal damaging and for two counts of theft, all misdemeanors. Gibbs was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on May 7 at 9:08 a.m.

Washington County Sheriff

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on April 30.

* On April 29, Nelson M. Potts, 54, 37905 State Route 7, Sardis, reported an iPhone 5 he gave to his nephew was stolen after his nephew inadvertently left it on a table at Subway in Devola on April 8.

* On April 29, Tammy S. Bradley, 46, 215 Lawn Lane, Belpre, reported she was assaulted by her husband, James P. Cron, 63, 11121 Veto Road, Belpre. During an argument with his wife over two houses they own on Veto Road, Cron punched Bradley in the shoulders with his fists, police said. Bradley did not have visible injuries but complained of pain while she wrote a statement. Bradley stated she was in fear for her safety during the incident and felt that her husband would cause her harm. Based on his investigation, Deputy Sheriff Metts arrested Cron for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail. At the jail, Cron tested .163 BAC.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Tuesday and Wednesday:

* Larry Gale Thompson Jr., 31, 231 E. Faye Ave., Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Thompson was arrested at his residence by probation officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Amanda Asia Wallace, 19, 231 E. Faye Ave., Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation and for child endangering, both misdemeanors. Wallace was arrested in Marietta by probation officer Ferrell and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Dwight Keith Masters Jr., 45, 626 Eighth St., Marietta, for resisting arrest, menacing, obstructing official business and criminal damaging, all misdemeanors. Masters was arrested on Ninth Street by Patrolman Hickey of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* James Parker Cron, 63, 11121 Veto Road, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Cron was arrested at his residence by Lt. Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail.
