PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on May 2-4:
* Daron Kyle Carswell, 1104 26th St. Apt. 2, Vienna, had a charge of possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription dismissed after a successful deferred sentence agreement.
* Justin Gregory Williams, 407 Locust Court, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstruction with threats of harm and fined $236.48.
* Heather Dawn Lucas, 907A Pike St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to violating a domestic violence protection order, fined $426.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail with a credit of 15 days for time served.
* Daniel Armando Banales, 400 Washington Ave., Huntington, was arraigned on a charge of second-offense shoplifting and released on $1,500 bond.
* Micah Edward Lewis Leisure, 741 Larkmead Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violating a domestic violence protection order and released on $5,000 surety bond.
* Brandon Robert Claypool, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $1,500 surety bond.
* Brian R. Sanders, 34 Kings Row Court, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and released on $1,000 surety bond.
* Adam Spencer Jarvis, 3525 Roseland Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of having no insurance and improper registration and pleaded on $1,000 personal recognizance bond.
* Gregory Allen Hutson, C/O 1010 Johnson Run Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violating a domestic violence protection order and released on a $500 cash bond.
* Donnie Clavel McCumbers III, Belleville, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $1,500 surety bond.
* Joseph Andrew Fielder, 6380 Muskingum River Road, Lowell, was arraigned on a charge of violating a domestic violence protection order and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.
* Rick Shawn Willis, 1100 Laird Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession with intent to deliver and released on $75,000 surety bond.
* Nathan Daniel Bibbee, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $500 surety bond.
* Teela Renne Lewis, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of domestic battery, destruction of property and child neglect creating risk of injury and released on $2,000 bond.
* Donald Michel Bennett, 11552 Stucky St. Se, Paris, Ohio, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense DUI and held on $50,000 surety bond.
* Christopher Michael Williams, 47 Kings Row Court, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of transporting drugs to jail and held on $10,000 surety bond.
* Mark James Heflin, Davisville, was arraigned on a charge of domestic assault and released on $1,000 surety bond.
* Christopher Scott Holder, 1005 Lynn St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of second-offense shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and held on a $4,000 surety/cash bond.
* Arthur Robert Tewkesbury, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and held on $1,000 surety bond.
* William Aaron Adorante, 501 32nd St. Lot B4, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstructing an officer and battery and held on $7,500 surety bond.
* Misty Dawn Dillon, 910 33rd St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.
* Jason Thomas Ohler, 903 55th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to speeding (90 mph in a 65 mph zone) and fined $196.48.
* Ryley Parker Louden, 158 Delta Place, Davisville, pleaded guilty to speeding in a school zone and fined $276.48. A charge of having no proof of insurance was dismissed.
* Wilma Jean Lyons, 1213 1/2 Lakeview Dr., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a seatbelt violation and fined $25.
* Rodney Lee Seott, 405 Marsh Run, Pennsboro, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on May 5:
* James R. Dowler, 4415 14th Ave., Parkersburg, had cases withdrawn on two counts of worthless checks.
* McKenzie Nicole Dillon, 2809 1/2 28th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to transporting a thing of value into a correctional facility, fined $186.48 and sentenced to a year in jail which was suspended and Dillon was placed on two years of unsupervised probation. He had a charge of transporting illegal substances into the jail dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Heather Cheyenne Still, 650 13th St. Apt. 2, Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of burglary. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Thomas Leroy Dexter II, 8751 Lithopolis Road NW, Canal Winchester, Ohio, had charges of DUI in an impaired state and failure to maintain motor vehicle insurance dismissed with prejudice.
* David Obrian Wells, 1613 Dewey St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived for charges of manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or meth (two counts), being a prohibited person in possession of firearms and transporting illegal materials into a corrections facility. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Aaron Michael Flanagan, 3625 Packard St. Apt. 35, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to having an expired registration and fined $181.48. A charge of having no insurance was dismissed after proof was presented to officials.
* James Michael Carvell, 181 Dupont Road, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to speeding and $186.48.
* Jennifer Marcella McGowan, 6923 Veto Road, Belpre, pleaded guilty to a traffic-control signal violation and fined $181.48.
* Jessica Marie Ruble, 615 Montgomery St., Marietta, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48.
* Lori Fay Fluharty, 1653 Winding Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on $500 personal recognizance bond.
* Billy Jake Burnside, 1961 Sugar Camp Road, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of battery and released on $500 surety bond.
* Xavier Paul Carpenter, 705 Hall St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on $500 personal recognizance bond.
* Terry Lee Williams, 34 Aqua Isles, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of destruction of property and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.
* Eric L. Cumpston, 1812 Liberty St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on five counts of violating a protective order and released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.
* Samantha Ann Adams, 1004 Pike St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of second-offense shoplifting and trespassing and released on $1,000 personal recognizance bond.
* William Elliott Dougherty, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $1,000 surety bond.
* Lisa Cheyanne Dougherty, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $1,000 surety bond.
* Kevin Wayne Lott, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $1,500 surety bond.
* Trisha Nicole Chute, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of trespassing in a placarded structure and held on $500 surety bond.
