Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Jan. 30:

* Jason Lee Alman, 703 Hall St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of breaking and entering. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* David Paul Hamilton, 4104 16th Ave., Parkersburg, had a charge of conspiracy against the state dismissed. Hamilton was indicted on this matter in Wood County Circuit Court

* Tristen Paul Persinger, 507 Postlewait St., Parkersburg, had a charge of burglary dismissed. Hamilton was indicted on this matter in Wood County Circuit Court.

* David Lee Phillips, 906 Lynn St., Parkersburg, had a charge of attempt to commit a felony dismissed after the officer and the alleged victim did not appear in court.

* Jamie Annette Barton, 3603 Laurel St., Parkersburg, was found guilty of cruelty to animals-abandonment, fined $176.48 after not complying with the terms of the diversion agreement.

* Shana Joy Yopp, Parkersburg, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed.

* Shawn J. Strickland, 128 West Palm Beach Ave., White Sulphur Spring, W.Va., pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, having no operator’s license and having no registration, fined $539.44 and sentenced to six months’ probation. Charges of having no insurance and operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate were dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Todd Justin Twyman, 2116 Liberty St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license for DUI, fined $276.48 and placed on 30 days of home confinement. Another charge of driving on a suspended license was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Martin Gale Collins, Vienna, had a charge of violation of a domestic violence protective order dismissed after a witness did not appear in court.

* Chase Alyn Conger, 1152 Society Hill, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to reckless driving, fined $276.48 and sentenced to 10 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.

* Carl Arnold Mace, 3301 Second Ave., Vienna, had charges of speeding and reckless driving dismissed.

* Zachary A. Myers, 907 32nd St., Vienna, had charges of reckless driving and failure to report an accident dismissed due to a lack of evidence.

* Jennifer Sue Short, Parkersburg, had a charge of second-offense domestic battery dismissed due to a lack of evidence.

* Jordan D. Slider, 193 Power Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $181.48. He had a charge of having no proof of insurance dismissed after proof was presented to the court.

* Lee Ann McGee, 2607 New York Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to cruelty to animals-withholding medical treatment and fined $476.48. He cannot have any animals for five years. Another charge of cruelty to animals-withholding medical treatment was dismissed.

* Cassidy Autumn-Rose Hogue, 3400 Mountain Drive, Pennsboro, pleaded guilty to a cell phone violation and fined $276.48. She did not meet the terms of a deferred sentence agreement.

* Sarah Renee McHenry C/O 2510 Parkview Drive, Belpre, had charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction with threats of harm dismissed as part of a successful deferred sentence agreement.

* Jerry Lentz Saintvil, 1025 Market St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (cocaine) and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (meth) and held on $400,000 bond.

* Cortney Renee Thomas, 1444 Jesterville Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of violating a protective order, obstruction as well as being a pedestrian on a highway going the wrong way (capias), obstruction (capias) and fleeing (capias) and released on $1,100 bond.

* David Michael Hall, 498 Wigal Road, Belleville, was arraigned on charges of having no insurance and expired registration and released on $1,000 bond.

* Anthony Bryan Martin, 1229 22nd St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of third-offense driving on a suspended license, having no insurance and having improper registration and released on $15,000 bond.

* Scottie Allen Vanover, 1012 Matthews Ave. Apt. A, Charleston, W.Va., was arraigned on two counts of third-offense shoplifting and held on $50,000 bond.

* George Alan Barnhart, 928 Newbanks Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of second-offense driving on a suspended license for DUI and having no MVI and released on $1,000 bond.

* Michael Allen Bowers, 3715 East Seventh St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of third-offense battery of a law enforcement officer and delivery of a controlled substance (meth) and held on $400,000 bond.
