PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on April 30:
* Amber Dawn Durnell, 2372 Blair Road, Coolville, was arraigned on charges of fleeing on foot, possession of a controlled substance (two counts for meth and heroin) and shoplifting and released on $2,000 bond.
* Martin Gale Collins II, 1312 21st St., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of violation of a protection order and released on $2,000 bond.
* Joshua Aaron Stewart, 112 4½ St., Williamstown, was arraigned on charges of driving on a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance and released on $500 bond.
* Amber Anna Baker, 709 Division St. Apt. 4, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of second-offense DUI, driving on a suspended license for DUI, hit and run and having no proof of insurance and held on $5,000 bond.
* Andrew David Havener, 656 Liberty St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on two counts of gross neglect of a child creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* James Wesley Whitlock, Parkersburg, had a charge of domestic assault dismissed after the alleged victim failed to appear for trial.
* Austin Tyler Harris, Parkersburg, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed after the alleged victim did not want to prosecute and did not want to prosecute at the time of arrest.
* Ben Joshua Johnson, Parkersburg, had charges of violation of a protective order and domestic assault dismissed with prejudice as the alleged victim did not want to pursue.
* Austin Michael Matthews, Parkersburg, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed with prejudice as the alleged victim did not want to prosecute.
* Dana Paul Persinger Jr., 1200 11th Ave. Apt. 11, Chillicothe, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or meth and manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I, II or III controlled substance. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Michelle Elizabeth Hutson, 1420 Spring St., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to having a suspended license and operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $457.96.
* Sean R. Montgomery, 114 East Fifth St. Williamstown, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and no insurance and fined $652.96.
* Christopher L. Lemley, 1312 Cale St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding (79 mph in a 70 mph zone) and fined $196.48.
* William D. Smith, PO Box 49, Richland NJ, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.
* Brian Allen Bonnett, 49879 Manuel Road, Racine, pleaded guilty to shoplifting, trespassing and fined $362.96. He was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on May 1:
* Christina Ann Roar, 509 Elder St. Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48. A charge of failure to maintain vehicle insurance was dismissed, per a plea agreement. She also pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $301.48. Charges of speeding and improper registration were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Katlyn Hope Kincaid, 60 Ashley Place, Sutton, had a charge of driving on a suspended license and having no proof of insurance dismissed as the state does not wish to pursue.
* Jamie Ann Barber 3404 Packard St.,Parkersburg, had charges of having no insurance and expired registration dismissed as the state no longer wishes to go forward.
* Katie Leigh Harris, 602 Wayside Farm Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to misuse of an emergency number, fined $201.48 and sentenced to 10 hours in jail.
* John Vincent Croft, 1506½ Avery St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to knowingly providing a place for the use of controlled substances by others, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 60 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. Another charge of knowingly providing a place for the use of controlled substances by others was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Tina Louise McElfresh, 178 Bentley Road, Walker, pleaded no contest to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. A charge of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Elizabeth Anne Marshall, 47 Boggess St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on six months of unsupervised probation. Charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription and speeding were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Laurence Duaine Lower, 28 South Park Villa, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and having no vehicle insurance and fined $662.96. A charge of operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Brandon David Holbert, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $201.48. He was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna.
Adam Nohe, 3152 25th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.
* Richard Fred Johnsen Jr., 4009 Lincoln St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48.
* Kody Allen Burns, 803 34th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to having an expired motor vehicle registration and operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $362.96.
* Brennen Richard Howard, 5457 Amber Hill Rd., Irondale, Ala., pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48. A charge of having no proof of insurance was dismissed.
* Brooklyn Danielle Affolter, 1322 Left Fork Buck Run Road, Mineral Wells, pleaded no contest to speeding (79 mph in a 70 mph zone) and fined $181.48.
* Terri M. Ardinger, 1429 Old Forge Road, Mogadore, Ohio, pleaded guilty to speeding in a construction zone.
* Alexander Thomas Trefz, 235 S. Campus View Dr., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and failure to maintain and fined $457.96.
* Christopher Paul Smith, 2805 Dudley Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and had jail time ruled as time served.
* Jason Daniel Graham, Mineral Wells, pleaded no contest to domestic battery, fined $176.48 and sentenced to one year in jail which was suspended and he was placed on two years of unsupervised probation.
* Jason David Graham, 1292 Windsor Dr., Mineral Wells, had a charge of burglary dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Brandon Tyler Olivier, 495 Danas Run Rd., Newport, pleaded guilty to DUI, fined $361.48 and sentenced to one hour in jail which was ruled as time served.
* Jason Daniel Graham, Mineral Wells, had charges of domestic battery (two counts) and unlawful restraint dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Vance Edward Cross Sr., 2322 Morningside Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of prohibited acts and manufacture, deliver or possess with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance and held on a $55,000.
* Melissa Anne Hart, 122 Warner St., Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of speeding and released on $500 bond.
* Ronnie Lee Lockhart, 2203 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving on a suspended license and having no insurance and released on $1,000 bond.
* Jesse Ryan Nunley, 916 19th St., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of battery of a health care provider and released on $1,500 bond.
* Gwendolyn Sue Gatrell, 274 Belleville Dr., Belleville, was arraigned on charges of burning out of season, fail to safety strip (failing to remove flammable material near a fire site), obstruction, improper disposal of waste and littering and released on $2,500 bond.
* Emily Ann Lambert, 140 Newells Run Road, Newport, was arraigned on a charge of fraudulent use of an access device and released on $2,500 bond.
* Michael Thomas Runyon, 6856 Pike St., Mineral Wells, was arraigned on charges of third-offense shoplifting and second offense shoplifting (capias) and held on $5,500 bond.
* David Lee McPherson, 872 Bull Run Road, Waverly, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $2,000 bond.
