PARKERSBURG -- The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on April 3:
* Patrick Wayne Settle, 504 34th St. Apt. 2, Vienna, had a preliminary hearing waived for a charge of manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or meth. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Tommy Wayne Fluharty, 1616 Spring St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of burglary. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Darrell N. Lee, 1600 Pike Street Room 27, Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of not properly registering as a sex offender. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Kayonna Marie Swinford, 808 West Virginia Ave., Parkersburg, had a charge of having no insurance dismissed as the person does have insurance.
* Laura Eloise Barker, 634 Nicholette Rd., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license, having no proof of insurance and having improper registration and fined $652.96.
* Jacob Allen Starcher, 41, Meadowbrook Acres, Apt. A, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstruction, fined $186.48 and sentenced for six days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. Charges of reckless driving, failure to maintain motor vehicle insurance and third-offense driving on a suspended license were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Brandon Jeffrey Hines, Vienna, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed without prejudice after the alleged victim did not wish to pursue.
* Christian Gale Bile, 1214 11th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to assault of a law enforcement officer, fined $211.48 and placed on six months of home confinement. Charges of carrying a deadly weapon without a license by someone under 21 years old, brandishing and disorderly conduct were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Christopher Todd Smith, 2906 29th St., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to trespassing and fined $201.48.
* Kevin Todd Terrell, 1512 39th St., pleaded guilty to having no proof of insurance and fined $376.48
* Edward Leon Davis, 802 7th St. Apt. 2, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving under a suspended license and fined $276.48.
* Joshua Steven Wherry, 4218 Sams Creek Rd., Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription and fined $201.48. A charge of having no insurance was dismissed after he was able to provide valid proof to the court.
* Brooklyn Rachelle Wyatt, 1461 St. Rt. 339, Belpre, pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and fined $196.48.
* Edward Wayne Houk Jr., 1603 Beaver St. Apt. A, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of assault and two counts of obstruction and released on $1,500 bond.
* Ricky Lee Parsons, 4188 Charleston Road, Ripley, was arraigned on charges of driving on a revoked license for DUI and having no insurance and released on $1,000 bond.
* Tracy A. Stump, 100 Heed Rd., Vinton, Ohio, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.
* Jordan Ray Stewart, 2601 Seventh St., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to trespassing and fined $181.48.
* Crystal Leann Evans, 418 8th St., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to trespassing and fined $181.48.
* Caleb Blaine Boyles, 1602 Avery St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to having no operator's license and fined $196.48.
* Nathan Warren Robinson, 3153 Harris Highway, Washington, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $196.48.
* Brandon Keith Pickens, 5014 Kay St., Parkersburg, had a charge of operating a vehicle without evidence of registration and operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate dismissed after proof of both were presented to the court.
* Brendan I. Been, 712 30th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $191.48.
