PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Feb. 20:

* Issac Gerald Goodwin, 1104 39th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to reckless driving, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. Charges of having an open container, following too closely and reckless driving were dismissed, per a plea agreement. He also pleaded guilty to having improper registration and fined $586.48.

* Michael Joseph Gibbs, 2211 23rd St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48.

* Marquette Lorenzo Bannerman, 880 Red Hill Road, Apt. 106, Parkersburg, had probable cause found on a charge of depriving another person of money, goods, property or service under fraudulent pretenses or promise. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Mark Christopher Brown, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic battery, fined $176.48 and sentenced to six months in jail with a credit of 11 days for time served. He had a charge of malicious assault dismissed without prejudice as the alleged victim did not appear in court.

* Billy Joe Jones, 1409 St. Marys Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $186.48. A charge of having no seat belt was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Cynthia Dawn Cline, 3604 East Seventh St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, which was suspended for six months of unsupervised probation.

* Kala Marie Greene, 910 Virginia Ave., Parkersburg, had a charge of second-offense shoplifting dismissed as the alleged actions do not rise to code definitions.

* Carl Bryan Hall, 3515 Burnett Road, Cutler, pleaded guilty to obstruction with threats of harm and fined $236.48. A charge of domestic battery was dismissed without prejudice as the alleged victim recanted.

* Brant Ryan Clendenin, 3003 City View Drive, Apt. B, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, with a blood-alcohol level of less than 0.15, driving on a suspended license, fined $627.96 and sentenced to eight hours in jail. A charge of having no vehicle insurance was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Jacob A. Koon, 382 Left Fork Buck Road, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to speeding, operating a vehicle with evidence of registration and fined $412.96. Charges of operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and reckless driving were dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* John Kelly Aliff, 117 Clover Dale Estates Drive, pleaded guilty to reckless driving, fined $376.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended for one year of unsupervised probation with a credit of one day served. Charges of having no insurance and driving too fast for roadway conditions were dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Caiden Lee Burke, 2608 26th St., Parkersburg, had a charge of third-offense driving on a suspended license dismissed with prejudice as he obtained a valid license.

* Jacob Wilson Givens, 1337 St. Marys Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to fraudulent use of a credit card, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail with a credit of 15 days for time served. He had charges of petit larceny and fraudulent use of a credit card dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Jason Barrett Siko, 3604 Monarch Court, Morgantown, had charges of battery dismissed for a deferred sentence and domestic battery dismissed as it should have been a charge of battery.

* Steffan Thomas Hughes, 22 Edgewood Park Drive, Parkersburg, had charges of assault of a police officer, disorderly conduct, obstruction and battery dismissed.

* Jarrod Vincent Moore, 506½ Hawthorne St., Parkersburg, had a charge of destruction of property dismissed without prejudice as the alleged victim does not wish to pursue.

* Brandon Jeffrey Hines, 515 23rd St, Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $2,000 bond.

* Debra Eva Mathias, 400 Toms Fork Road, Alum Creek, W.Va., was arraigned on a charge of speeding and released on $100 bond.

* Brice Weston Lawson, 2614 Hugh St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $2,000 bond.

* Haylee Leannda Allen, 36 Powell Drive, Apt. 67, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance and obstruction and released on $2,000 bond.

* Douglas William Chaney, 586 Beeman Road, Washington, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48. A charge of having no proof of insurance was dismissed after proof was provided to the court.

* Daniel Jacob Elswick, 546 MC Circle, Nora, Va., pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48.

* Donald R. Gaylor Jr., 40 Westview Way, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $181.48.

* Adam Lee Sams, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to trespassing and fined $196.48.

* James Eric Estep, 375 Jefferson Drive, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.

* Fortunato Hernandez Mayorga, 1503 Crescent St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to having no operator’s license and fined $181.48.

* Summer Nichole Bayless, 633 Ruby St., Belmont, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.

* Jennie Marie Burdette, 4400 Grand Central Ave., Apt. 1, Vienna, pleaded guilty to public intoxication and fined $181.48.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Feb. 21:

* William Douglas Shaffer, 467 Gates Ridge Road, Rockport, was arraigned on a charge of fraudulent schemes and released on $2,000 bond.

* Joshua Darwin Shrader, 5725 Big Island Run Road, Elizabeth, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense driving on a suspended license and held on $500 bond.

* Izaak N. Morris, 321 17th St. Apt. 1, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of grand larceny and held on $10,000 bond.

* Donovan Robert Adams, 210 Westwood Way, Washington, was arraigned on a charge of violating a protective order and released on $2,000 bond.

* Jesse James Hickel, 7641 Pike St. Lot #4, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of fraudulent schemes and released on $2,500 bond.

* Hannah Rae Furbee, 133 Mt. Vernon Dr., Washington, pleaded guilty to possession of meth and fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. Charges of possession of marijuana, less than 15 grams; and possession of Xanax were dismissed, per a plea agreement. She also pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation. Both sentences will run concurrently.

* John Anthony Moore, 1103 18th St., Vienna, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of malicious assault. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Carrie Ann Wright, 1115 19th St., Parkersburg, had pleaded guilty to DUI, fined $351.48 and sentenced to six hours at the Wood County Holding Center.

* Dorian Ray Tyler Ruggles, 1701 Franklin Ave. Lot 101, Huntington, had a preliminary hearing waived for a charge of escape. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Andrew Osburne Britton III, 1617 Pike St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstruction, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 12 months in jail with a credit of one day for time served. He was withdrawn from the LEADS program as unsuccessful.

* Justin Allen Posey, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription and obstruction with threats of harm, fined $352.96 and sentenced to 8 days in jail which was ruled as time served.

* Brenton Dean Metz, 1006 Juliana St., Parkersburg, had a charge of overweight vehicle dismissed.

* Dustin Ray Kinney, PO Box 31, Walker, pleaded guilty to a charge of shoplifting and fined $201.48. He was ordered to pay a $225.70 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Parkersburg.

* Heather Michelle Gibson, 413 East Eighth St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $196.48. She was ordered to pay a $183.18 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna. A charge of petit larceny was dismissed, per a plea agreement. She also pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license, operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $457.96. Charges of having no insurance and improper registration were dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Patrick Jonathan Wright Jr., 749 Poland Hollow Rd., Romney, pleaded guilty to fleeing from an officer, fined $176.48 and sentenced to seven months of home confinement. He had a charge of obstruction dismissed, per a plea agreement. He also pleaded guilty to escape, fined $176.48 and sentenced to seven months of home confinement. The sentences will run concurrently.

* Kristin Jannette Pacheco-Rivera, 2001 Keran Dr. Apt. E, Sanford, N.C., pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.

* Jennifer Rae Smith, 116 Walker St., Marietta, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48.

* Madeline Marie Willcoxen, 1512 Kanawha St., Point Pleasant, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $226.48.

* Lise E. Sibicky, 1314 Cisler Dr., Marietta, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $186.48.

* Maria Faith Deems, 1221 23rd St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to not having a valid driver’s license and fined $196.48.

* Kenneth Eugene Wriston, 303 38th St., Vienna, was arraigned on charges of third-offense driving on a suspended license, having no insurance, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to maintain control and released on $500 bond.

* Miguel Agustin Paniagua Castro, 1010 Teft St., Parkersburg, had no probable cause found on a charge of soliciting a minor and traveling to engage a minor in prohibited sexual activity.

* William Alexander Riffle, 308 Scott St., Belpre, had probable cause found on three counts of possession of counterfeit or unauthorized access device with intent to defraud. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
