Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Dec. 26:

* Robyn Michele Hopkins, 233 Captain Parker Trail, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.

* Dale Robert Wiggins Jr., 705 Barkley St., Belpre, pleaded guilty to hunting/fishing without a license, obstructing DNR, hunting/fishing without safety training certificate and hunting/trapping/fishing on land without permission and fined $785.92.

* Logan D. Richards, 333 Richards Road, Waverly, pleaded guilty to an electronic registration requirement violation and fined $196.48.

* Tyler Joseph Kight, 111 Spruce St., Davisville, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.

* Bailey Eugene Keel, 2545 South Cool Rd., Lima, Ohio, pleaded no contest to shoplifting and fined $201.48. He was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the Sheetz store on Seventh Street in Parkersburg.

* Austin Ray Cunningham, 381 Veto Circle, Belpre, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.

* Heather Cheyenne Still, 650 13th St. Apt. #2, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription and obstruction, fined $412.96 and placed on six months of home confinement. A charge of third-offense driving on a suspended license was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Michael Eugene Pinkerton, Huntington, had a charge of battery dismissed as the alleged victim no longer wishes to prosecute.

* Destiny Renee Baker, 4301 10th Ave. Apt. 303-B, Parkersburg, had a charge of violating a domestic violence protective order dismissed as the alleged victim no longer wants to pursue the case. There was no objection from the state.

* Carlton George Lauderman, 606 Reed St., Parkersburg, had a charge of having no registration and operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate dismissed after he presented proof of registration to the court and the state does not wish to pursue the no MVI charge.

* Easton James Childress, 1098 Clement Ave. Apt. B, Belpre, had charges of having no proof of insurance and driving on a suspended license dismissed after he provided valid proof of both to the court.

* Bryson Keith Wells, 506 25th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and fined $196.48. He had one count of public intoxication dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Dale Roger Thorn, 893 Dry Run Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to third-offense driving on a suspended license and fined $336.48. He had charges of having an open container, having no proof of insurance, operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and no registration dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Ryan Raymond Sleight, 606 O’Neal St., Belpre, pleaded no contest to a charge of child abuse by parent, guardian or custodian creating risk of bodily injury and fined $676.48. He had a charge of child abuse by parent dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Jonathan Scott Stalnaker, 124 Riverview Acres Rd., Washington, had three counts of violating a protective order dismissed. According to Wood County Magistrate Court, the plaintiff appeared, and Stalnaker was found not guilty on all three counts by Magistrate Jody Purkey.

* Douglas Allen Shafter, 4152 Laurel Creek Road, Waverly, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of grand larceny. The case was transferred to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Kala Marie Greene, 910 Virginia Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of second-offense shoplifting and released on $500 bond.

* Sabrina N. Bowen, 3331 Fall Run Road, Walker, was arraigned on charges of expired MVI and failure to produce an operator’s license and released on $1,000 bond.

* Jason Wayne Leadmon, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $1,500 bond.

* James Lee Hall, 1089 Township Road 331, Proctorville, Ohio, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and bond was set at $2,000.

* Steven Curtis Balderson, 1715 Elizabeth Pike, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty speeding (80 mph in a 70 mph zone) and fined $186.48. He had a charge of having no registration dismissed.

* Heather Cheyenne Still, 650 13th St. Apt. 2, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstruction and fined $186.48. He had charges of having no insurance, shoplifting, trespassing in a placard structure, second-offense driving on a suspended license and driving on a suspended license dismissed.

* Hueston Lee Kellar, 526 Hyview Dr., Washington, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48. He also pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle without the required security, fined $452.96 and sentenced to three months in jail which was suspended and he was placed on six months of unsupervised probation. Charges of driving on a suspended license (two counts), operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and having no insurance were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
