PARKERSBURG -- The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Aug. 29:

* Dale Roger Thorn, 893 Dry Run Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to third-offense driving on a suspended license, fined $326.48 and was sentenced to 30 days home confinement. Charges of third-offense driving on a suspended license, not having secured a certification of title and improper registration were dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Justin Gregory Williams, 407 Locust Court, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting and was fined $211.48. He was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna and a $50 civil penalty to GoMart on St. Marys Avenue in Parkersburg.

* James Albert Rose, no address given, was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice out of Gallia County, Ohio, on charges of failure to appear and a probation violation. He was held without bond.

* Albert Byrd Jr., no address given, was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice out of Warren County, Va., on charges of failure to appear and contempt of court.

* Ryan Scott Garrett, 66 Dempsie Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving while impaired and held on $1,500 bond.

* Charles Wells, 159 Eller Holler Road, New Martinsville, was arraigned on a charge of worthless check and released on $200 bond.

* Bobby Allan Finley, 1311 Grandview Manor, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance and driving in an impaired state and released on $2,000 bond.

* Andy Ray Reed, 6187 Elizabeth Pike, Elizabeth, was arraigned on charges of driving under the influence and released on $1,000 bond.

* Gary L. Travis, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of indecent exposure, obstructing and battery of a police officer and held on $1,250 bond.

* Susie Ray Testerman, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $186.48 and was sentenced to 120 days in jail, which was suspended for one year of unsupervised probation.

* A charge of misdemeanor violation of a protective order against Alexander Pifer, 606 47th St., Vienna, was dismissed without prejudice.

* Sandra Kay Fitzgerald, Marietta, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $211.48 and was sentenced to six months in jail which was suspended for one year of unsupervised probation. Another charge of possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Daniel L. Mullen Jr., 368 Left Fork Kites Run Road, Walker, pleaded no contest to operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and was fined $181.48. A charge of expired registration was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* A charge of trespassing in a placarded structure against Justin Gregory Williams, 407 Locust Court, Parkersburg, was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* A charge of worthless check against Eric J. Lynch II, 1108 11th Ave., Apt 1, Huntington, was dismissed as there was a lack of sufficient evidence to proceed.

* Andrew Steven Paul Barker, 3 Berry Place, Madison, pleaded guilty to second-offense driving on a suspended license and was fined $276.48. A charge of speeding was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Joann Kelly, 613 Locust St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license (two counts), no seatbelt, expired MVI, having no insurance (two counts) and operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and was fined $869.44.

* Dustin Scott Gibson, 2614 Charleston Road, Spencer, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and was fined $286.48. Charges of driving on a revoked license for DUI, defective equipment and improper lane change were dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Angelo Nelson Stadtler, 2111 Private St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to battery, fined $176.48 and was sentenced to 10 days in jail which was ruled as time served.

* A charge of possession of methamphetamine against Joseph Clayton Tanner, 514 Gale Ave., Parkersburg, was dismissed as the state no longer wishes to pursue the case.

* Levi Austin Heckert, 2501 27th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $181.48.

* Allyson L. Campbell, 300 Longacre St., Marietta, pleaded guilty to speed limitations and was fined $181.48.

* Timmy Leo Smith II, 55804 Second Ave., Reedsville, pleaded no contest to a stoplight violation and was fined $181.48. A charge of no insurance was dismissed.

* Christopher Edward Persiani, 706 30th St., Apt. C, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was fined $201.48. He was ordered to pay a $342.60 civil penalty to Walmart in Vienna.

* Summer Ann Hale, 705 Hall St., Apt. 8, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to battery, fined $246.48 and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, which was suspended for one year of unsupervised probation. Charges of having no operator's license and child neglect were dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Simon Thomas Noecker, 532 Hog Trail, Ravenswood, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $181.48.
