PARKERSBURG -- The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Jan. 17:
* Jarrett Michael Ice, 930 Maple Lane, Sistersville, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $180.25.
* David Allen Rickard, 8978 Lower Knobly Road, New Creek, W.Va., had a preliminary hearing waived on charges of escape and grand larceny. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Crystal Ann Campbell-Burnette, 4318 11th Ave., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on two counts of third-offense shoplifting. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Misty Dawn Hornbeck, 1337 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to battery, fined $290.10 and sentenced to 48 hours in jail. He is required to self-report to the Wood County Holding Center.
* Charles Edward Persinger II, 811 1/2 Belrock Ave. Apt. 9, Belpre, pleaded guilty to possession, fined $170.25 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed in one year of unsupervised probation.
* Michael Lee Hill, 2043 Sams Creek Road, Mineral Wells, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of manufacture/deliver/possess with intent to manufacture/deliver a Schedule I, II narcotic. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Issac Gerald Goodwin, 1104 39th St., Parkersburg, had a charge of burglary dismissed without prejudice after the alleged victim failed to appear.
* Joshua Michael McGee, 2212 36th St. Apt. P, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance (heroin), fined $180.25 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. He is required to attend inpatient treatment. He had a charge of possession of a controlled substance dismissed.
* Michael Scott Hatch, 298 Piggott Place, Munday, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of driving on a revoked for third-offense DUI. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Terry Lee Thompson, 647 Harvest Drive, Rochester, N.Y., had a charge of accessory after the fact to grand larceny dismissed.
* Crystal Ann Campbell-Burnette, 4318 11th Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstruction, fined $195.25 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. A charge of possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Kimberly Dawn Carter, 1703 South Hills Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $180.25 and sentenced to 120 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. She also pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $205.25. She was ordered to pay a $177.76 civil penalty to the Wal-Mart store in Vienna.
* Jeffrey Sky Wood, 111 Wyoming St., Charleston, pleaded guilty to public intoxication and fined $175.25. He had a charge of possession of a controlled substance dismissed, per a plea agreement. He also pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $195.25. He was ordered to pay a $275.48 civil penalty to Wal-Mart. A charge of trespassing was dismissed, per a plea agreement. He also pleaded guilty to obstruction, fined $170.25 and sentenced to 120 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on six months of unsupervised probation.
* Austin Ryan Miller, 1617 Lee St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and having defective equipment and fined $450.50. He had charges of DUI and going left of center dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Breanna Michelle Randall, 1806 Covert St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to battery of a government employee and/or medical personnel, fined $400.50 and placed on home confinement for 30 days. She also pleaded guilty to obstruction and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. Charges of disorderly conduct, public intoxication and another three counts of battery of a government employee and/or medical personnel were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Jason Wayne Tebay, 923 15th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to DUI-controlled substance, fined $355.25 and sentenced to 24 hours in jail.
* Michael Scott Law, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic battery, fined $180.25 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.
* Haylen Hershal Miller, 1024 Williams St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $270.25. A charge of having no insurance was dismissed.
* Kelvin Wayne Day, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense domestic battery and held on $5,000 bond.
* Robert Edward Rushton, 704 Woodland Ave., Beckley, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $500 bond.
* David James Alltop, 716 Bird Street, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of battery and released on $500 bond.
* Brittney Dawn Toburen, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $500 bond.
* Derek Gregory Bailey, 90 Eastview Dr., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of first-offense DUI while in an impaired state with a BAC of less than .150 and released on $500 bond.
* Paul Christopher Johnson, 113 Hickory St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of second-offense driving on a revoked license for DUI and released on $500 bond.
* Christopher Allen Peyton, 110 Acme St., Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of solicitation of a minor and held on $35,000 bond.
* Sarah Renee Bunting, 2212 36th St., Apt-R, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $500 bond.
* Austin Lee Johnson, 2629 26th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving on a revoked license for DUI and released on bond.
