PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on June 2:
* Melvin Stubbs, 45, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of burglary and strangulation and released on $30,000 bond.
* Steven Edward Parsons, 42, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of second-offense driving while impaired and released on $2,500 bond.
* Lacey Vivian Coen, 24, Vienna, was arraigned on charges of aggravated driving under the influence and no insurance and released on $2,500 bond.
* Alvin Edward Lester, 61, Parkersburg, was arraigned on four counts of cruelty to animals and released on $5,000 bond.
* Jonathan Carl Forshey, 31, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of burglary and held on $20,000 bond.
* Eric Allen Starcher, 48, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of second-offense driving on a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance and released on $500 bond.
* Jason Wayne Tebay, 43, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of DUI and released on $2,000 bond.
* Alishya D. Dennis, 31, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on $500 bond.
* Ryan Matthew Rader, 35, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on $500 bond.
* Charles Lee Wade, 56, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to first-offense child neglect by a parent, guardian or custodian creating risk of bodily injury and cruelty to animals, was assessed $640.50 in fines and court costs and was placed on six months of home confinement. Charges of child neglect by parent, guardian or custodian creating risk of bodily injury, domestic battery and six counts of cruelty to animals were dismissed.
* Jason Reginal Pearson, 24, Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of third-offense shoplifting. The case was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Joseph Michael Goodman, 41, Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of manufacture/possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. The case was bound over to Circuit Court.
* Kayla Marie Shaffer, 27, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was assessed $170.25 in fines and court costs and placed on six months of unsupervised probation.
* Terry Wayne Giddings, 38, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstruction, was assessed $170.25 in fines and court costs and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, which was suspended for one year of unsupervised probation. Another charge of obstruction was dismissed.
* Devon Todd Dye, 27, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and was assessed $270.25 in fines and court costs. A charge of having no insurance was dismissed.
* Eric Leon Parkins, 41, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice from Washington County on a contempt of court charge. He is being held without bond.
* Jordan M. Barnhart, 20, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to improper use of evidences of registration and was assessed $175.25 in fines and court costs. A charge of no proof of insurance was dismissed.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were recently handled in Wood County Magistrate Court:
* Mary Marie Lester, 39, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $180.25. Lester also was ordered to pay a $222.50 civil penalty to Wal-Mart in Parkersburg.
* Colby Dale Wigal, 49, Parkersburg. pleaded guilty to alcohol on access site and fined $190.25. A charge of having a controlled substance on access site was dismissed.
* Hunter James Brown, 24, Washington, pleaded guilty to alcohol on access site and fined $190.25. A charge of having a controlled substance on access site was dismissed.
* Joshua Aaron Naylor, 29, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $270.25.
* Jeffrey Lynn McFalls, 59, Vinton, Va., pleaded guilty to improper passing and fined $175.25.
* Gary Alan Naylor, 33, Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to left of center and fined $175.25. A charge of having no inspection sticker was dismissed.
* Daniel Kwon Westfall, 28, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to operation without a inspection certificate and fined $175.25. A charge of having no proof of insurance was dismissed.
* Brandon Lee McCartney, 26, was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from Washington County, Ohio for a charge of grand theft of a motor vehicle. Bond to be set by Circuit Court.
* Benjamin Lee King, 33, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from Dallam County, Texas, for a charge of bond forfeiture. Bond to be set by Circuit Court.
* Lindsay Paige Thaxton, 27, Charleston, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $270.25. Thaxton was also ordered to pay a $1,301.70 Civil Penalty to the Parkersburg Rural King store.
* Clyde Michael Willis III, 24, Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of escape.
* Autumn Marie Bailey, 38, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to having defective equipment and fined $180.25. A charge of not having an inspection certificate was dismissed.
* A preliminary hearing was waived against Timothy Scott Lester, 30, Greenwood, W.Va., on a charge of attempting to commit an offense, but failing or prevented from committing.
* Michael Keith Allman, 38, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, being a prohibited person possessing a concealed firearm and held on $45,000 bond. Allman was arraigned on an additional charge of battery and held on $2,000 bond.
* David Justin Moreland, 41, Woodsfield, Ohio, was arraigned on charges of driving on a suspended license, having no insurance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and released on $1,500 bond.
* Tony Allen Williamson, 33, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm and released on $1,500 bond.
* Laurence Duane Lower, 46, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving while revoked for DUI, driving on suspended, having no insurance, going left of center, having expired registration and released on $1,500 bond.
* Stephanie Ann Whaley, 33, Parkersburg, was arrainged on charges of disorderly conduct, public intoxication and released on $250 bond.
* David Bryan Shuman, 58, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing an officer and released on $500 bond.
* Darrion Isaac Cale, 20, Washington, was arraigned on charges of having no operator’s license, DUI under 21, assaulting an officer, obstruction, having no insurance and released on $5,000 bond.
* Alyssa Ann Church, 21, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, obstruction and released on $1,000 bond.
* Garret L. Morrison, 24, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of fleeing on foot and released on $1,000 bond.
* Julie Ann Simpson, 45, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of keeping or maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances and released on $5,000 bond.
* Chad Christopher Goudy, 51, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of obstruction, public intoxication and released on $1,000 bond.
* Bailey Matthew Way, 22, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $1,500 bond.
* David Wayne Johnson Wilson, 32, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $5,000 bond.
* Tyler Zane Morrison, 25, Walker, was arraigned on a charge of possession of Suboxone with intent to deliver and held on $150,000.
* Dwaysaan Jrome Taylor, 20, Warren, Ohio, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and held on $300,000 bond.
* Michael E. McCord, 70, Belleville, had a expired MVI sticker for over three months and having an expired operator’s license and released on $100 bond.
* Derick L. Walker, 37, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of of fleeing in a vehicle with reckless disregard and released on $15,000 bond.
* Daniel Wayne Keel, 55, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of distributing and exhibitioning materials with minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and released on $50,000 bond.
* Richard Lester Davis, 42, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense drving on a revoked license for DUI and held on $10,000 bond.
* Jade Nichole Williams, 24, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from Athens County on a charge of failure to appear. Williams is being held without bond.
