PARKERSBURG -- The following cases were handled recently in Wood County Magistrate Court:

* Christy Swiger-Rowe, 43, Parkersburg, was arraigned on three counts of fraudulent use of an access device and released on $5,000 bond.

* Timothy Wayne Evans, 35, Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing on a charge of false pretenses waived and the case was bound over to Circuit Court.

* John Michael Brown, 41, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to petit larceny, obstruction, fined $340.50, and sentenced to 60 days home confinement. A charge of petit larceny was dismissed.

* John Michael Brown Jr., 41, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting, fined $170.25 and ordered to pay a $58.54 civil penalty to the Seventh Street Sheetz location in Parkersburg. An other charge of shoplifting was dropped.

* Jamie Lynn Hickel, 41, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to petit larceny, fined $170.25 and sentenced to one year in jail which was suspended and Hickel was placed on one year of unsupervised probation had a charge of grand larceny dismissed.

* Joseph Robert Adams, 31, Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to unauthorized acts with regard to wildlife without license, improper display of hunting license or permit and fined $380.50.

* James Michael Carvell, 59, Washington, pleaded guilty to going left of center and fined $175.25. A charge of having no proof of insurance was dismissed.

* Douglas S. Cook, 18, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $190.25. A charge of having no proof of insurance was dismissed.

* James Michael Vandergrift, 39, Vienna, was arraigned on charges of two counts of petit larceny, violation of a protective order, destruction of property and released on $2,000 bond.

* Joetta Fay Moyers, 63, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of obstruction and released on $1,000 bond.

* Kenneth Wayne Whipkey, 38, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of operator's violation, defective equipment, second-offense shoplifting, having no operator's license, failure to maintain control, having no proof of insurance and released on $3,000 bond.

PARKERSBURG -- The following cases were handled recently in Wood County Magistrate Court:

* Sharon Diana Easton, 52, Parkersburg, was arraigned on four counts of violating a protective order and released on $2,000 bond.

* Stephen Glen Stephens, 24, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on charges of having tires beyond the fender, no MVI, speeding, having improper window tint and released on $2,000 bond.

* Catherine Elizabeth Mock, 38, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of heroin and released on $1,000 bond.

* Mariah Beth Knight, 21, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on bond.

* Zachary Joseph Delizzio, 27, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of domestic assault, disorderly conduct, obstruction, failure to fingerprint and held on $3,000.

* Isaiah Howard Ohse, 35, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of third offense shoplifting and released on $3,000 bond. A preliminary hearing was waived on a charge of third-offense shoplifting. The case was bound over to Circuit Court.

* David Justin Moreland, 41, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on $1,000 bond.

* Delfus William Whitlach, 67, pleaded guilty to DUI, fined $345.25 and sentenced to 60 days in jail which was suspended and Whitlach was placed on unsupervised probation for one year.

* Deonte Jujuan Lindsey, 36, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to making false statement to officers, battery, assault, domestic battery, unlawful restraint, fined $901.25 and sentenced to 180 days in jail with a credit of 92 days for time served. A sentence of one year in jail was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. Charges of disorderly conduct, public intoxication and failure to be fingerprinted were dismissed.

* Mark Edward Leeson, 62, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic assault, obstruction, fined $390.50 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on two years of unsupervised probation. He had a charge of violating a protective order dismissed.

* Sean Ryan Furner, 30, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled sustance without a valid prescription, fined $195.25 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.

* Daniel Armando Banales, 42, Parkersburg, pleaded guilt to obstructing an officer and fined $220.25. He had charges of trespassing and failure to fingerprint dismissed.

* Max Eugene Rowe II, 38, West Union, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, fined $170.25 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and Rowe was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.

* Joshua Levi Carroll, 36, Belpre, had a charge of driving on a revoked license for DUI.

* Brittany Nicole Melrose, 23, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $190.25. He was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the south Parkersburg Walmart.

* Victoria A Sampson, 22, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $190.25. He was ordered to pay a $100.80 civil penalty to the south Parkersburg Walmart.

* Jennah Christine Gray, 27, Vienna, pleaded guilty to having no proof of insurance, driving on a suspended license and fined $640.50. A charge of improper registration was dismissed.
