Wood Magistrate
PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Aug. 14:
* A charge of domestic battery was dismissed against Alfred Stuart Akeroyd Jr., Palestine, W.Va., because the alleged victim did not want to prosecute.
* Lisa Marie Joy, no address listed, was arraigned on a fugitive from justice count for charges of aggravated possession of drugs and littering out of Washington County. She was ordered held without bond.
* Michael Shane George, 1637 Jesterville Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of public intoxication and battery and released on a $1,000 surety bond.
* James Ryan Andrews, 2011 Washington Blvd., Apt. 11, Belpre, was arraigned on a charge of kidnapping and ordered held without bond until it could be set in Wood County Circuit.
* Teresa Ann Starkey, 2301 16th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving on a suspended/revoked license and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.
* Otis Miseal Brewster, 1618 Beaver St., Apt. 4, Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to a charge of driving on a suspended/revoked license and was assessed $276.48.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were released by Wood County Magistrate Court on Aug. 15:
* Ashley Danielle Patel, 5432 Schoolhouse Road, Belpre, pleaded guilty to public intoxication and having an open container and fined $362.96.
* Phillip P. Moore, 2016 23rd St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $376.48. A charge of operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate was dismissed after proof of a proper one was submitted to the court.
* Michelle Lynn Helminske-Meeks, 800 34th St., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of forgery and released on $1,000 surety bond.
* Ryan Brett Francisco, Belleville, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense domestic battery and released on a $5,000 surety bond.
* John Douglas Deleo, Parkersburg was arraigned on a charge of indecent exposure and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.
* Daniel Rea Brennen, 1001 28th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of wanton endangerment and released on a $7,000 surety bond.
* Caleb Michael Decker, 235 Forest Ave., Mineral Wells, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm after a felony conviction of possession of a controlled substance, for a charge of manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or meth and a charge of being a prohibited person in possession of a concealed firearm. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Demetrius Thompson, 1215 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of wanton endangerment involving a firearm. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Gabrielle Marie Bradshaw, 1702 Avery St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to charges of having expired motor vehicle registration and operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $181.48. A charge of a seat belt violation was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Stephanie Jean Lightfritz, 10 Browns Road Apt. 6B, Marietta, had a charge of embezzlement transferred to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Elijah Zane Fickiesen, 102 Meadows Mobile Home Park, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to falsely reporting an emergency and leaving the scene of an accident with damage, fined $402.96 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. Charges of speeding and having no proof of insurance were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Cory Ray Patterson, 1502 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, had charges of battery and destruction of property dismissed without prejudice.
* Brandon Douglas Kesterson, Parkersburg, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed after the alleged victim denied the crime took place.
* Kevin Leroy Swiger, 906 Lakeview Dr., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to charges of having no insurance and third-offense driving on a suspended license, fined $702.96 and sentenced to 30 days home confinement. A charge of having improper registration was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Alexander Norman Taylor, 715 Celia St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription and fined $201.48.
* Daniel Armando Banales, 732 Darnell Road, Huntington, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting and fined $186.48. He was ordered to pay a $71.68 civil penalty to the Parkersburg Walmart store.
