Wood Magistrate
PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on June 13-15:
* Brandy Marle Dye, 199 Central City Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $176.48 and sentenced to six months in jail which was suspended and she was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. She had a charge of third-offense shoplifting dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Cowen Hart Pennington, 24 Thorn St., Parkersburg, had probable cause found on an attempted felony. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Melinda Hewitt, 111 Henry School Road, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to a seat belt violation and fined $25.
* Kevin Alan Archer, 1507 19th Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to speeding and fined $191.48.
* Jose Manual Lopez Ramos, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of DUI, duty upon striking a fixture and having an open container and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.
* Eric Shan Vest, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of trespassing and destruction of property and held on $7,000 surety bond.
* Mark Christopher Brown, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of receiving or transferring stolen goods and held on $10,000 surety bond.
* James Lee Hall, No Address Given, was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice for failure to appear for a hearing on a hit and run charge from Washington County, Ohio, as well as a charge of receiving or transferring stolen property and held on $10,000 surety bond.
* James Ryan Andrews, Little Hocking, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and held on a $750 surety bond.
* Alexis W Stanphill, 2903 Beeman Road, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to having no seat belt and fined $25. He also pleaded guilty to having expired registration and fined $206.48.
* David Paul Dailey, 1220 16th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to trespassing and fined $181.48.
* Kimberly Joyce Godbey, 2244 Pond Creek Road, Belleville, was arraigned on a charge of theft of a rental vehicle and held on $5,000 surety bond.
* Scotty Joseph Byers, 35 Meadowbrook Acres, Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of a violation of a personal safety order and held on $4,000 surety bond.
* Colin Henry Evans, no address given, was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice out of Hamilton County, New Jersey, on a parole revocation. He was held on no bond.
* Robert Mark Brown II, 1408 Liberty St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice out of San Diego, California. He was held without bond. He was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.
* Xavier Paul Carpenter, 705 Hall St Apt #7, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of grand larceny and held on $50,000 surety bond. He was also arraigned on charges of shoplifting and destruction of property and held on $1,000 surety bond.
