WILLIAMSTOWN --The Williamstown Police Department released the following reports on March 27:
March 18
* Officers responded to a single-vehicle accident at the roundabout where a Silver Dodge Ram truck struck and damaged a utility pole after the driver of vehicle lost control entering the roundabout southbound. The suspect vehicle fled south onto I-77 where deputies of the Wood County Sheriff conducted a traffic stop of the suspect vehicle and determined the vehicle was involved in the Williamstown accident. Michael Levi Gainer, 24, of Parkersburg was charged by the sheriff's office with DUI, driving while license suspended and revoked and duty upon striking fixtures upon a highway.
March 19
* Lacey Wallace, 39, Lowell, was cited for speed 59/45 on W.Va. 14.
March 20
* Kelton Huchins, 25, Marietta, was cited for speed 51/35 on West Third Street.
* Ryan Ashley, 27, Vienna, was cited for speed 38/25 on Highland Avenue.
* Misha Westover, 27, Marietta, was cited for speed 37/25 on Highland Avenue.
March 25
* Thomas Tucker, 63, Lower Salem, was cited for speed 45/25 on Highland Avenue.
* Xadrian Snodgrass-Ayala, 19, Parkersburg, was cited for speed 51/35 on West Third Street.
March 26
* Joel Johnson, 42, Williamstown, was cited for shoplifting at the Dollar General on Highland Avenue.
* Between March 18 and March 27, Williamstown Police Department responded or issued: 10 traffic warnings; three suspicious persons; two alarm calls; two auto accidents; two assist agency; one welfare check; and one civil complaint.
