MINERAL WELLS - Indivisible MOV is joining in nationwide, pre-election "No Kings" events Saturday with gatherings in Mineral Wells and Vienna.
"We are going to make sure as many people as possible know when early voting starts in West Virginia," said Kim van Rijn, co-leader of the action team for Indivisible MOV. "For both events, there is a zombie theme of 'Beat the Horde. Vote Early.' Some of us will be dressed as zombies, but doing so is completely optional."
Indivisible MOV members will gather from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Mineral Wells exit overpass on Interstate 77 to hold up letters to spell out an early voting message to southbound drivers. Others will hold banners and signs promoting early voting to people traveling on the overpass.
From 2:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, members will display early voting messages on signs and banners in the 600-700 block area of Grand Central Avenue in Vienna.
Early voting in Ohio is underway. In West Virginia, early voting begins Wednesday.
