Picture This: Ribbon-cutting on the river

1 min read

A ribbon cutting was held Monday to mark the official opening of Marietta’s Levee Park on the Ohio River. The renovated levee was funded primarily by $9.4 million from the state's Appalachian Community Grant Program, which was administered with other projects by the Ironton-Lawrence Community Action Organization. Permanent fencing and some other tasks remain before the project is complete, but it is ready for this weekend's Ohio River Sternwheel Festival.

Starting at /week.
